I’ve never really noticed it before, but Taylor Swift is super-skinny. I mean, I’ve noticed that she’s tall and lanky, or “coltish” as they say – although that’s a word I usually associate with young teenage girls, which is where Swifty is mentally, so it fits. The black lace dress is Jenny Packham – it looks like a knock-off Dolce, right? Black lace is also pretty daring for such a special little girly princess. Someone might mistake her for a wanton woman! Also – Swifty’s old bangs and girly-curls are back, so I guess that straight banged look was just a wig? She’s really going all out for Jake, isn’t she?

Anyway, these photos are from the CMT Artists of the Year event on Tuesday. Swifty was honored, as was Lady Antebellum and Carrie Underwood, amongst others. Swifty came to the event alone – God knows what Jake was up to. They can stage “candid” coffee eroticism photos for the tabloids, but they’re too special to walk a red carpet together? Weird. Speaking of Jaylor (or Gaylord Jwifty, as I call them in my Thermaflu-addled mind), I’ve got some additional excerpts from this week’s Us Weekly cover story about the couple. This will give you a toothache and/or make you vomitous and/or make you want to stab someone in the eye.

All it took was a special offer from Jake Gyllenhaal, and Taylor Swift scrapped her long-scheduled, well-deserved Thanksgiving break with her family.

“Jake invited her to New York,” says an insider. “It wasn’t planned in advance, but she said, ‘Why not? I can do it, and I’m going.’”

And not even a guilt trip from her close-knit family could dissuade her.

“Her parents weren’t thrilled,” continues the source. “But she explained to them that she gets to see them all the time and wasn’t able to spend time with Jake during the publicity madness.”

By Thanksgiving eve, she was on an NYC-bound flight, arriving hours later at his sister Maggie’s Brooklyn townhouse with her bags in hand.

“Jake likes her, no doubt. Taylor is obviously really into him to be doing all this,” says the pal.

She ended up spending Thanksgiving at Maggie Gyllenhaal’s house, where Swifty helped stir pots on the stove. A day later, Jake and Swifty returned to Tennessee to finish the rest of the weekend with her brood.

“She loves his family and he loves hers,” says a Swift friend. Adds another, “It’s definitely serious.”

There’s a ton more in the cover story, mostly observations by bystanders who noticed Swifty and Jake giggling and acting like high school girls in love (for real) as they took their love tour from city to city, coffeehouse to coffeehouse. There are only a few gems… stuff like “Despite the wholesome G-rated dates, sources close to Swift say that she’s ecstatic about embarking on her first mature relationship. After all, her past loves – which include Joe Jonas and Taylor Lautner – have mostly been Tiger Beat staples, many of whom ultimately broke her heart.” So… Swifty reaction to being in her first adult relationship (second, if you count getting pissed on by John Mayer, figuratively and probably literally) is to send all of her friends out to gossip about her to Us Weekly. Seriously, ALL of the quotes in this piece are from Team Swifty sources. It’s very interesting. The closest thing we get to a Team Gyllenhaal source is some “insider” who says that Jake like Swifty because he has a thing for Southern blondes, and because Swifty “dotes” on him and acts “love-struck” which strokes his ego. One source even surmises that Swifty is already considering Jake “the love of her life.” Oh… this sh-t is going to be epic when it all goes to hell and Swifty writes another album.

Finally, there is one last sentence I have to transcribe from the cover story: “The love story continued after they hopped a private plane to Nashville the next night. One memorable stop: the Gaylord Opryland hotel – ‘a big destination for couples,’ says a source – to look at the Christmas decorations and the Garden Conservatory November 27.” Oh. My. GAYLORD. Yesterday I was just joking around saying that for some reason, I kept reading “Gaylord” when I say “Jaylor”. Now it’s official. They are Gaylord Jwifty.
