Over the last few months, barely a day goes by without new, inappropriate candid photos of teen star Miley Cyrus leaking on the Internet. Miley making out with a boy. Miley in the shower posing in a wet T-shirt. Miley and a friend making a video making fun of two other Disney proteges. The big question is, why in the world would Disney’s darling act out so inappropriately when her entire career as America’s Sweetheart is at stake? Well, a recent story at E! Online may hold the answer. Miley herself told E! News’ Marc Malkin that she thought this was the final season of the top-rated Hannah Montana TV show. When Malkin reported this, Disney was quick to respond, saying that not only is Cyrus shooting a Hannah Montana movie at present, she’s also shooting the third season of the TV show and has signed on for a fourth.
Miley Cyrus may be getting ready to say goodbye to Hannah Montana. Or at least she’s thinking about it.
The 15-year-old superstar feels the time may be right for her hit Disney Channel series to come to an end.
“We’re thinking this is our last season,” Cyrus tells me.
Update: Just heard back from a Disney rep regarding Miley Cyrus and talk about the end of Hannah Montana.
“Miley said it best when she said she’s delighted to be part of the Disney family,” the rep wrote in an email. “We start production on the third season of Hannah Montana on August 4 and have an option for a fourth season beyond that. We look forward to the Hannah Montana feature film coming to a theatre near you in Spring 2009.”

Could it be that Miley wants out of her Disney contract, just like Hillary Duff before her? Of course, when Hillary Duff wanted out of her contract for the hit show Lizzie McGuire, she just smiled and played along, waiting patiently for it to run out, and then didn’t renew. Miley, 15, doesn’t seem to want to wait that long. Perhaps all these antics have a purpose- to piss off Disney enough that they’ll fire her. We’ll have to wait and see.

I am so tired of her and her behavior. Yes, teenagers act out and rebel against their parents better judgement. But enough already. Inappropriate pictures, videos, ect…where are her parents??? She looks to be the upcoming new generation of rehab seekers if she doesn’t tone it down

If this is true then what kind of prospect does Miley Cyrus might have after Hannah Montana finishes. It seems that she is so much related with her character that it would be very difficult for her to separate herself from the show and establish her self as an actress or singer. I think she should be patient and in the mean time try and explore more projects outside the Hannah Montana series, so she has other things to full back on if and when it ends.
You know I can understand that she would want to move on with her career, but this is not the way to do it. She is making herself look like a slut and she is only famous for being a teeny bopper role model, so really this just shows her immaturity.
I do not care as long as she just goes away, i am sick of seeing her and her slutty antics.

She’s better off riding it out with Disney as long as she can. They are already grooming her replacement, it’s either that girl from ICarly or that other one Wizards of Waverly place (who might be the same girl for all I know). Hispanic enough to give international flavor to the Disney brand, but not enough to freak out or threaten any border-conscious parentals.

Also, I don’t buy the virgin bullshit. You don’t take photos of yourself nude and/or in various states of undress for good clean fun. You take them to show to people as a reminder/preview of what they have seen/will see. So….pardon me if I laugh quietly into my coffee at her claims that she is as pure as the freshest snow. Not that there is really anything wrong with girls and women taking charge of their sex lives, but come on, at least don’t push the “wait until you’re married” bullshit and then send your much older and sexually mature boyfriend pics of your boobies.

As usual, Kaiser, your comment is both funny and apropos; what I find strange is that Billy Ray hasn’t weighed in on all these inappropriate photos–or am I missing something? He is supposedly so protective of Miley, but if he’s staying silent, he may agree with her plan to “break free” of Disney.
I can see several reasons why she might think she needs to quit the Hannah Montana character; she may be afraid that she’ll be forever (forever, to a 15-yr old, is a lot longer than an adult’s understanding of same)typecast, or that the character is holding her back from her career as a singer. My feeling is, a job in hand is worth a career in the bush!
I saw her sing on the Today show, and she remarked that she was very excited that all those people had shown up just for her, with no show backing her up. The Today show said that, for the first time in their history, they had to actually close off surrounding streets–there were that many fans.
I wasn’t very impressed by her voice.

You’ve SO hit the nail on the head, Kaiser. Every time I hear about all this ‘purity pledge’ nonsense it just smacks of some type of weird sexual fetish to me as well. I know how extreme that might sound to some people so let me explain.
Most of these people pledging to stay virgins until they’re married are usually religious types, and as we all know, most mainstream religions (Catholicism, Islam), take a very involved stance on homosexuality and other sexual behaviors. Which creeps me out, because why on earth do they want to get involved on what goes on in people’s bedrooms for? It’s just so foreign to me. They get all involved, like saying masturbation and oral sex and other things like that are wrong as well (but I don’t think most people really follow those rules since the prevailing mindset seems to be that those things ‘don’t count.’)
It’s the same for same-sex marriages and abortions and birth control for me; every time I hear something about someone picketing a Planned Parenthood or trying to force through a bill keeping marriage between a man and a woman I just get so pissed off. If you don’t like abortions or gay marriages, then don’t get them, it’s as simple as that. If you don’t think you should have sex before marriage, don’t have it. But there’s no need to force your views on other people, and all everyone keeps talking about is how Miley Cyrus wants to stay a virgin so she can be a good role model.
Firstly, I’d think this would not need to be said, but stay out of Miley Cyrus’ vagina, for God’s sake, she is just fifteen. Maybe she’s having sex, maybe she isn’t but the bottom line is, teenagers aren’t avoiding sex, all because Miley Cyrus says to. A few might, but largely that advice is ignored; the number of teen pregnancies and STDs vouch for that fact. How about a role model who tells these sexually active teens to wear condoms and use birth control to be safe? THAT would be someone to look up to, but apparently such an idea is too extreme to even be considered.

I agree Kaiser and the others. These young teens are aimed as much to adults (men) as they are to kids. Like Britney Spears when she first started, these young girls are just secret guilty pleasures for the middle-aged men of the world. Which is sad because like any other teenagers, these girls are starting to get more sexual but they are unaware that the media and these entertainment companies like Disney are using them and exploiting that fact to create more profit for themselves. After all, is not most men’s sexual fantasy to claim and conquer a young virgin. EWW, that last part just sounded wrong for some reason.

it is very possible that she is only doing this so that she can get out of the contract. but the funny thing is, she may be popular, but she isn’t ready to spread her wings and fly out of the nest. hannah montana is the source of her fans. if she drops the contract, she is screwed.
