Kelsey Grammer, 55, announced his engagement to 29 year-old British flight attendant Kayte Walsh earlier this month. It was my impression that they were planning this for some time, as paparazzi “caught” them out engagement ring shopping way back in August. Kelsey’s insufferable wife of 13 years, Camille, first filed for divorce in July. It’s clear that Kelsey cheated and then pulled the rug out from under Camille. Still, it’s hard to feel even a twinge of sympathy for that awful woman.
Kelsey and Camille don’t have a prenup and given how many properties, assets, and business dealings they have together this could get messy and incredibly expensive. His fortune is estimated at around $120 million. TMZ reports that Kelsey earned about $100 million while he was married to Camille and that she could get around $50 million.
Kelsey seems to have a plan, though. He’s asking for a quickie divorce from Camille so he can make Kayte the fourth woman to become Mrs. Kelsey Grammer. He’ll deal with all that pesky asset splitting later.

Kelsey is asking the divorce judge to grant the divorce decree asap, and leave all of the money issues for later. In legalese, it’s called “bifurcation.”
Under California law, a divorce can become final 6 months after a petition is filed. Camille filed on July 1, 2010 … so if the judge grants Kelsey’s request for bifurcation, he can marry Kayte Walsh Saturday, January 1. Kelsey and Kayte have been engaged for several months.
There were reports Kelsey was trying to keep Camille from grabbing his pension benefits — but in fact the pension papers are merely a formality which is required when someone files to bifurcate.
UPDATE: A friend of Camille’s tells TMZ, Camille “is not surprised but continues to be disappointed at Kelsey’s immature and disrespectful behavior.”

It was smart of Kelsey to convince Camille to go on Real Housewives. We quickly realized what a nasty person she was and are ready to forgive him for taking up with a woman young enough to be his daughter. It may ultimately be a very stupid move, though. I’ve been watching the show and besides watching Camille be insane and manipulative, she’s definitely doing her boy toy Nick. I don’t know what job he has but he is always free to spend hours and hours with her in the afternoon and fly on a whim to whatever city she happens to be at for “business”. I think Camille has been cheating on Kelsey for a while too and she’s been paying Nick to be her special friend.
One of the most irritating traits of hers is thinking she’s a perfect 10 when in reality, she looks like a googly-eyed frog. Every time someone picks (she instigates) a fight with her,her immediate reaction is that they are jealous of her.
You know, the innocent party in all of this is Kayte. If she had half a brain she would be on the first flight back to the UK because this man will chew her up and when she’s no longer young and beautiful and bubbly and fresh he will spit out her bones and go looking for someone even younger. Look what 13 years with him did to Camille. Granted, she was probably always a nasty piece of work but the mileage, the mileage.
I’m always astonished when I read he didn’t have a prenup. He must have been “vadge whipped” out of his mind at the time and he doesn’t seem much more sane about his perky flight attendant. Well, it’s not that complicated now. His quicky divorce will cost $50 mil.
Man.. thank God my mother told me to stay out of the sun. Her skin looks horrible and she looks way older then her age. All those youth treatments end up aging you faster. That is the point of them. I don’t watch any of the “Real Housewives” so I’m not understanding all the hate for Camille. The woman was married to this man for 13 years and has two babies with him. Why is she the bad guy? I’m confused. And, y’all do know those reality shows are scripted and edited to make the people in them look bad, right?
Anyway, Camille will get 1/2 of Kelsey’s assets because it’s the law of California, if there is no prenup. I have no clue if she will run through that money the way Nicole Murphy ran through her $15M but that would be her problem. For now, Camille deserves, and will receive, 1/2 of the assets and as much child support as she needs for her two children to continue the lifestyle they have had since birth. That’s the law whether the judge agrees bifurcation or not.

After the divorce Camille might have to cut down to one nanny a child AND pay attention to her children. I disagree. Having their father now living on the opposite side of the country and flaunting his new trick in the media is horrible parenting. Maybe Camille doesn’t pay them enough attention, but she is at least in the same state. I have no time for fathers like him. The fact that they used a surrogate only shows me that Kelsey made a conscious decision to bring those kids into the world, they are not whoops kids and he was not tricked into having them. He chose it, so now he needs to nut up and act like a real man and father or he is nothing more than a worthless piece of shit and a selfish bastard. Her having four nannies isn’t that unusual. I read years ago that Sharon Stone had SEVEN nannies for ONE child, so she could have 24/7/365 coverage.
