Okay, it’s crazy slow today, which is why I’m writing about these photos. Generally, I’m not one of those people who completely gushes over new photos of celebrities with their kids. Unless it involves Empress Zahara, that is. But there’s something about these photos of Gwen Stefani and Zuma that I just find enchanting. As far as paparazzi-targets go, Gwen and her kids don’t get pap’d on a daily basis like, say, Jennifer Garner and The Dimple Parade. But Gwen and the kids do get pap’d often enough that I wonder if someone is tipping off photographers. Some of these photos look like they are from a family photo shoot.
Also, I still think Gwen looks pregnant, but I guess I’m just going to have to go with “Gwen just dresses pregnant in real life.” Oh, and Zuma is friggin’ adorable. I love his little red car. You can tell it’s his favorite.

Oh I totally think they tip off the paps but I like their family. I also like that Gavin is always in Roger Federer’s box at Wimbeldon. I hope that they do have another baby.

To me she is proof that if you do not damage your body too much with cigarettes, drugs, and alcohol, you can age very well, something a lot of rock stars don’t seem to realize. And Gwen is a rock star.
She is aging well, but with help. She does botox, pretty obviously. Nobody that is my age has that shiny and smooth a forehead with no laugh lines.
I don’t think Gwen usually dresses that pregnant, I think she might be. She is usually rocking some tight thighs and abs, her legs look bigger here, but maybe she is just taking it easy between touring.

fabgrrl – Yeah. I’m surprised he has such bright blond hair given that Gavin and Gwen have dark hair (she dyes it). But he’s definitely a mini-me of Gavin. Right down to the dark eyes. Interesting!

Don’t get me wrong — their kids are really cute, but still. I find it gross that celebrities who’ve nothing going on use their kids to keep themselves relevant.
Seriously, what has Gavin done besides show up? His band sucked and he’d be forgotten if he hadn’t married her. And she doesn’t seem to do anything but be a mom — conveniently in front of cameras.
I find it a very f&^ked up foundation for raising kids, but what do I know?

You shouldn’t make such sweeping statements. Maybe she does ‘tox, I certainly don’t know. But I do know that at 46 I have a smooth forehead and no laugh lines…and I laugh a lot.
It’s just good genetics. My dad is 71 and barely has a wrinkle at all. My mom, 68 also has very few wrinkles. What crazy is they both smoked for about 50 years before they quit 3 years ago! Makes no sense at all.
On the other hand, my hair started turning white when I was 15 and was completely white by 30, so there’s always something, right? Thank God for Natural Instincts!

Oh, and since you brought up Kate (which why she’s relevant to the conversation or reality in general is beyond me). I boycotted her a long time ago because I don’t feel she Deserves to be a celebrity. If you’ve read any posts I’ve made on her, you’d know that.
Once upon a time you had to actually do something to be rich and famous. Now, you just have to get your name on the Net and you’re adored. And that’s Sad.
Gwen’s L.A.M.B clothing line is huge and she is very involved with the day-to-day operations. Also, her music is still very much relevant. She had a very successful tour just a couple of years ago.
She looks like their 21-year-old nanny. This woman does. not. age.
I don’t think Gwen should be penalized for deciding to raise her children instead of constantly working. How often does that happen in Hollywood?
Also, majority of the photos that pop up of this family regularly are from the same places. Same playground, same restaurants, near their house. I don’t think it is out of the realm of possibility that they genuinely do not set up photo ops. It is not like their photos would actually be worth much, so why would a photographer go out of their way to photograph them unless it was just convenient?

Gwen Stefani & Gavin Rossdale don’t have to prove themselves as celebs to anyone. They are huge rock stars, no matter how long ago “Just a Girl” or “Glycerine” were. They aren’t “whoring out” their kids to stay relevant, they are playing with their children like any good parent would. Jaysus…
one possible reason for her lack of wrinkles: look how tight her hair is pulled in that braid in pic #1. that takes away some crow’s feet.
also, even if celebs don’t have anything invasive done to their faces, they have access to the absolute best skincare services in the world. it can’t hurt.
Do they do anything besides go out with their kids? Lol. What do you want, pics of them shooting heroin or going on drunken benders?

I love Zuma rubbing on mom’s ear for comfort while he’s having his bottle/tippy cup. How sweet is that? Both are cute.
She’s NOT ugly, whoever just said that (comment 11), she does have good style and she has cute kids. But I do agree she parades her kids out in the town too too much and rarely does she go without a nanny. I hope she doesn’t put up a front in public, cause too many celebrities do. I think if someone wants to seriously be discreet, they can. And paparazzi follows her cause she’s cool like that, that’s why. However…these Hollywood kids don’t need to be freakishly annoyed and frightened by creepy camera guys (possible pedaphiles) following them around, it’s disturbing and creepy. The reason being is that I read almost anybody can pick up a camera and be paparazzi, even someone with criminal record and no one would know…(the ones being followed that is). I still liked it when Julia Roberts when off on some creep parked at the parking lot of her kids school, for how he shouldn’t be there taking pics of her kids or any other kids. In all seriousness, isn’t that stalking? Geeze.

Botox typically leaves skin really shiny like that.
I know it’s part genetics, I can go with no makeup and pass for 10 years younger with no intervention. She just looks really smooth and shiny. I think Gwen is great, makes killers shoes and is pretty.
I just am also 98% sure she uses it. I am in the medical field, having worked in Newport Beach and LA and can pretty much spot that a mile away. Celebs use botox, yeah a sweeping statement, but kinda true, no?
@Tiffany: Any theories as to why it makes the skin look shiny? Botox must also paralyze the piloerector muscles. I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Hmmm….

Unlike some celebs who genuinely seem to enjoy spending time with their kids, for this woman it’s all about the photo op. I mean, going to the playground doesn’t warrant getting groomed to the hilt beforehand and slapping on layers of makeup and wearing fancy clothes — just look at shots of other celebs doing the same thing, they are not dressed for a film premiere or performance.
What surprises me is that in these photos, she is not accompanied by her usual crew of helpers (nannies, bodyguards, etc.) which she always seeems to take everywhere, even when she is with her ever so helpful husband.
Why wouldn’t she spend quality time? She’s got the time and the $ to sit in parks all day if she wants to. She’s being a mom. Betcha she’s got nannies though too.
