Despite repeated claims that her crazy Botoxy marble-head was “completely natural”, Nicole Kidman is finally coming clean about the ‘Tox. Sort of. A little bit. Nicole Kidman claims in a new interview “I’ve tried a lot of things but apart from working out and a good diet most things don’t help. I even tried Botox but I didn’t like how my face looked afterwards. Now I don’t use it anymore – and I can move my forehead again.” Yes, Nicole “tried” Botox. For about EIGHT YEARS. She tried it and tried it and tried it again. And then she “tried” lip injections. And she also “tried” a boob job. And she “tried” a pillow-baby pregnancy. Too far? I apologize. I can’t even see the computer screen, I’m laughing so hard.
Botox? Not me! That, at least, used to be Nicole Kidman’s response to questions about how she kept her complexion so porcelain perfect. Now, however, she has performed something of an about-face.
The Oscar-winning actress, 43, has finally admitted to having Botox injections. But she insisted she no longer uses it, because she did not like the results. She wasn’t the only one.
In 2008, one cosmetic surgery expert told a medical conference that Miss Kidman was so ‘over-Botoxed’ she was giving the industry a bad name.
Miss Kidman, 43, made her confession to a German magazine interviewer who asked her about keeping wrinkles at bay.
‘I’ve tried a lot of things but apart from working out and a good diet most things don’t help,’ she replied. ‘I even tried Botox but I didn’t like how my face looked afterwards. Now I don’t use it anymore – and I can move my forehead again.’
Her previous declarations on the subject included: ‘I am completely natural. I have nothing in my face or anything.’

I have the pleasure to see her in person a couple of years ago and she was such a beauty. It was obvius then that she has something done (botox) but the makeup and that awful blonde hair really fucked up her face in most pics.

Why do people like Nicole, Courtney Cox, etc keep saying they tried botox once when it’s obvious they’ve been using it for years?
Well cover me with flour and bake me for 40 minutes, that’s a shocker! Next she’ll be telling us she avoids sunlight like the plague and has ‘tried’ colouring her hair (to protect her delicate skin and keep up with roles respectively of course; nothing to do with trying to stay wrinkle-free and non-grey). Either stay quiet about it all or tell the truth, but fibbing about is the best way to keep everyone guessing and commenting.

How come every time a celebrity admits to having some work done it’s always that they had just a bit of botox but never touched it again? I never understood why she was blond for so many years when it made all of her beautiful features fade instead of pop out, but when you look at a few of these she has a ton of grey hair. Most women do tend to go blond to hide the gray and coloring their hair. But I love her back with her red hair.
When is she going to admit to her fish lips? Though, thank God, she’s cut back on that. My Nicole that I loved is back looking like herself.

No! Pale is fine. Sun damage is horrific – see Rachel Zoe for an example.
While natural blondes can go red and look fabulous (Christina Hendricks comes to mind), 9 times out of ten redheads who go blonde (Nicole Kidman, Lindsay Lohan, etc…)look just AWFUL. The skin tone just doesn’t match up. Everytime I’ve tried to go blonde from my natural red-brown, I look terrible.
Redheads also tend to have strange reactions to sunlight- like, a complete inability to tan. We break out in freckles, we burn, we get melanoma, but tanning just isn’t in the genes. 3 cheers for pale gingers!

So far this is the best post of 2011; I loved that celebitchy had to clarify the wax picture! I think N.K. has the kind of enormous ego that can’t abide anyone thinking her less than a purely “natural beauty”, and just so you know- God loves her more than all the other 40 year olds and that’s why she looks so great- Blech on her!
I saw Rabbit Hole and she looked better than she has in years (was really disappointed when I saw Australia, her face was so wooden). She did a really great job, I’m rooting for her to at least get nominated. But I noticed her top lip is still a little funny. Darker hair does wonders for her too.

On the “pale skin” issue: I’ve read that both Nic & what’s-her-face-with-Liev both take sunblock VERY seriously, as they’re both Australian and realise how damaging a lifetime of sun exposure can be.
She brings me pure joy too — because she is so weird. But I do blame most of it on her first marriage, and then the trauma of divorce recovery — which gave us two things: fantastic acting in some great films; the biggest lying the press has ever witnessed….about everything personal in her life.

Also to add, yes Aussies are very protective of their skin. The burn time here is about ten minutes and your skin goes RED, not a nice brown colour like it does in Europe.

In my opinion, she may has well have not ‘confessed’… if she was going to continue to insult our intelligence by not being remotely honest about it. To think she could convince us she did it once when her face looks like that… Please. She needs to either keep it to herself, or own up entirely.
@ Rita – I’m probably about Nic’s color, I live in Australia and I actually don’t go out of my way to avoid the sun (although I don’t go to solariums either) and I rarely even wear sunscreen unless I’m going to the beach. It’s just my natural color. Would you say to someone “you are sooo black, you had better stay out of the sun”?
@Annie (#64)- Same here, as to naturally being very fair, not avoiding the sun in particular, & only wearing sunscreen at the beach/pool =) I get freckles from even short exposure to direct sun for any length of time.

@Annie and Hakura – Me too. I am a very dark haired brunette with super white skin, no matter WHAT…it just irks me when I read (or hear) the “too white” , “get a tan” type comments. Not everyone is the same! Some people can’t tan and others need to learn to deal with it!!!
@Michelle (#68)- My natural hair color is also very dark brunette =) (& my skin is extremely white.) Though I haven’t worn my hair that color in ages. I tend to stick to all sorts of dramatic red tones.
You can’t fight nature on that one. You just gotta learn to love it, and compliment it.
I agree with you. Plus when someone is naturally as light as we are, even the ‘spray tan’ stuff looks odd (& normally orange, since we lack a ‘tone’ for it to play off of). & we tend to naturally have moles to start with, so there’s a major risk in being in the sun or tanning booth. Just not worth it. =)
