He’s the Wizard of Oz for what? I know that Hollywood prefers remakes to real innovation, but surely there must be a law against remaking the Wizard of Oz?!?!? Plus, he’d be much better as the Wicked Witch.
Although I love Johnny Depp, I have to ask, is a prequal/remake of The Wizard of Oz really necessary? Can’t the writer’s in Hollyweird come up with their own original story or find a new book? Why mess with a classic and one so endeared by at least 3, if not 4 generations?

Man, I keep hearing that he’s going to play Tonto in the new Lone Ranger movie, and that he’s going to star in a Dark Shadows movie…why isn’t he working on those instead of remaking a classic? I adore JD, but this is a bad move-he needs to leave Oz alone!
