I’ve been avoiding this story all morning. I’m just putting that out there. It sometimes feels like Jon Voight gives an interview about his daughter once a week. And it’s always completely random. Like, “Jon Voight thinks Angelina Jolie should learn how to roast a chicken” or “Jon Voight thinks Fax Cannes Jolie-Pitt would be better suited for world domination, as opposed to Empress Shakira.” Those are just examples. I can’t help it, I think the dude is crazy, and if conservatives want to hold him up as some great example of a sane, Republican, Hollywood player, I think they’re only hurting themselves.
Anyway, Jon is in Israel. With Mike Huckabee, who I kind of like, and think would make a better Republican presidential nominee than any other potential contender. Jon and Mike are in Israel for some seemingly random purpose… the way Jon describes it, the whole thing sounds like a vague pro-Israel photo-op. While he was there, Jon talked about Angelina once again:
Academy Award-winning actor Jon Voight says he hopes his daughter Angelina Jolie will join him soon on a visit to the Jewish state. A longtime Israel supporter, Voight is visiting the country with likely U.S. presidential candidate Mike Huckabee.
Voight was for years estranged from Jolie. He said on Tuesday his celebrity daughter was well aware of his “affection for Israel and the Jewish people,” but that he doesn’t know where she stands on Israel.
Jolie serves as a goodwill ambassador for the United Nations.
Voight told The Associated Press he would “love to see” Jolie at his side “coming on a visit to Israel.”
He said: “That would be a nice thing before I go.”
The 72-year-old Voight starred in such movies as “Midnight Cowboy,” “Deliverance” and “Coming Home.”

HINT.” So… Jon is trying to pull a “Before I Die” guilt trip on Angelina… in the press! Empress Zahara is unamused. She asked for a trip to The Wailing Wall for her 6th birthday, and she didn’t get.
One last thing – when Angelina wore that green Versace to the Golden Globes, Jon made yet another statement: “Angelina looks stunning. She rarely wears color but tonight, tonight is her best ever in my opinion!” Jon Voight needs a gig on Fashion Police. OMG! Best idea ever.

Talk about pressure. What if she is conflicted about Israel? It’s not like they have a wonderful human rights record. From the very beginning, after the Palestinians were terrorized out of there, to vacate the country, the Israelis are similar to the colonial English, using a ‘Terra Nullius’ type of justification for occupation.
In Australia, for an Aborigine to claim native title, they have to prove their belonging to the land, with tangible proof. All Israelis do is point to the Old Testament.

For Voight, I think he’s just chewed the biscuit. I don’t think Angelina will be happy with this sort of manipulation. Israel is one hell of a mess. The last country in the world with a concrete wall dividing people, with the exception of Cyprus, but even in Cyprus, people are allowed to enter each side of the island now.

Oh I’ve walked around the house semi-clothed with my brother and father in the house (bra and shorts, just a towel etc). I guess I’m icky too. I can’t talk on behalf of others but I can tell what made me check it once (and never again — so I’m not among those who visit it regularly): a very unfortunate coincidence. I stumbled upon the site and when I realized I had seen the weirdest, highest level of internet boards craziness on the planet! — yes, they top the twihards. At least the twihards are crazy “in love”, not “in hate”. There were more than 1.800 pages (when I visited it in 2009 or before that), featuring at least 10 topics each and some of these topics would have more than a hundred pages…of pure, insane hate. Just hate. Nothing else. Nothing positive, no rational criticism, no intelligent discussions.
I also noticed (back then) that while some topics trashed Brad Pitt as well, the vast majority of them were all about Jolie. It almost felt like they would give Pitt a pass if, you know, he went back to his ex-wife. Like there’s hope for him. It’s the evil succubus Angelina Jolie that must be taken down at all costs.
At some point I thought they sounded involuntarily funny — and I understand some strongly dislike Jolie and just want to get that out of their system without taking the risk of getting banned from a regular gossip site. But then I realized some of those lunatics could come somewhere near Angelina Jolie and her children. It makes total sense if the Jolie-Pitts spend a lot of money with bodyguards. I know I would.

@Praise St. Angie, went to FF for the first time last night to see what it was like and from the link above you can see that the first few pages are kinda funny but then the comments became really nasty so that was once and never again for me! Unfortunately I saw that horrible photo before closing the damn thing.
The first time I heard of FF was here in CB – I think it was cheyenne the one who talked about that site. I read some of its pages and some of the comments were harsh but funny, as long as I thought it was a joke. Then I found out that they were serious, and I stopped reading and never came back there.
That’s why I was quite offended when mln76 asked me if I was one of those nuts from FF, especially because I’ve never said something mean about AJ or her kids.
@Praise: I’m curious about the FF thing, too. For example, I love horses. I could spend all day talking about riding them, grooming them, gazing lovingly at them, addressing their various nutritional needs — the list is endless and undoubtedly pathetic to people who aren’t of the equine persuasion. Anyway, the point is that I sure as hell wouldn’t waste two seconds of my time trolling a site that advocated hating horses, you know? I wouldn’t go anywhere near it, and I certainly wouldn’t drop the name of said site on other blogs, because all that does is let more people know if its existence and encourage curious people to check it out (thus driving up the hits).
Not sure if that’s the best analogy, but that’s all I’ve got at the moment (it’s been a long day).

@Praise: Oh, man, I wish one of my friends was an equine vet. Maybe he/she could give me a discount! (We live out in the sticks, so it costs a fortune just to get a vet out to our property, let alone treat the horses.) Anyway, I’m glad my analogy made sense. 🙂

@T–#90 thanks. i’m regularly bra-les with my dad and bros in skimpy nighties every evening watching TV wiv ’em before bed. i’m 24, single and a post-graduate student hence, i live with my family during the vacations. i should be a ‘floozy’ cos i have larger-than-average African boobs. (i’m African.) i would never be braless in front of another guy who is NOT my dad or bro, either. i just think it’s where the minds of the people is at… in the gutter or in proper place.

@Raven Sparrow. couldn’t resist. i clicked the link and saw the pic you spoke of and many others. all i could do was “ahahahahahahahhahhahhahaha!” Laugh! they are so hilarious! and none of them are recent. they are all over ten years old! hahahahahaha! it’s like taking a pic of a T-rex and freaking out over how vicious and dangerous it is to you when you know they’re extinct and can no longer harm you! hahaha!

I’ve seen multiple shots of her and her brother kissing. It’s not just the oscars kiss. They kissed on the red carpet another time (someone above mentioned this already), and there’s a photoshoot out there with them kissing on the mouth as well. Jolie is wearing a dress cut down to her belly-button and James is hugging/feeling on her. Sorry to all yall fans, but it’s really not normal. Jolie herself started crying during her Rolling Stone interview about how James and her had decided not to see each other too much in public any more. EEk.
