Some weeks, as I’m looking through photos for Hot Guy Friday, I often wonder: “Is this the week I should do a Hot GIRL Friday?” I will eventually, but I worry that a Hot Girl Friday would lead to too much girl-on-girl crime, what with everyone screaming at me when I summon a “From The Desk of Monica Bellucci”. And while I do consider myself a straight woman, there are several women in the world that I would happily bone, or even marry and live happily as their wife. Like, I would love to go to bed with Sofia Vergara. I think she would be so much fun. I would happily marry Emma Thompson, just because I think spending the rest of my life washing her knickers and getting drunk with her would be time well spent.
All that being said, I’m not a dude, and what dudes find desirable or hot is often a complete mystery to me. Take this AskMen poll, which was just released a few hours ago. Blake Lively takes the number one spot. Now, I think Blake is a pretty girl, and her body is amazing (and partly man-made). I wouldn’t marry her, but I would be interested in feeling her up. And I would never make her number one. But the other two ladies in the top three… well, I love a sassy brunette, so Mila Kunis and Sofia Vergara have my heart. Forever.

So I looked at the whole list and I’m pretty sure this list was just a random assortment of celebrities placed to make more attractive celebrities pissed off. Shakira is hotter than Angelina Jolie? Kate Middleton is hotter than Minka Kelley?? And Blake Lively’s face looks like a foot.

Blake’s not my favorite actress but she is certainly “hot” in the conventional sense of the word.
The girl has one of the best bodies in the business. She’s tall, lean, toned, thin, long legged, blessed with only a small bit of body fat on her chest and on her bum, long blond hair, blue eyes, big white smile. These characteristics have long been considered qualities of a regulation hottie.

Also I feel like this list was cooked up by publicists. Clearly people who are enjoying hot careers at the moment (eg Natalie Portman) are given precedence over people who will actually be considered beauty/sex icons fifty years from now (eg Angelina Jolie).
When Kristen Stewart made that list, I was 100% convinced it’s fake. That list is comprised of the people whose PR people paid the most money to have them put on it.
