Last night was the big premiere of Unknown in Hollywood. That’s the film starring Liam Neeson, Diane Kruger and January Jones, amongst others. It didn’t occur to me before now, but Diane and January are both trying to be big high-fashion girls. Both have contracts with big fashion houses, both will wear “difficult” dresses, both regularly make the best and worst dressed lists. So… let’s start with Diane and her barely covered biscuits. Her biscuits must have still been tingling after that fur-covered GQ shoot, because she’s coming dangerously close to Full Biscuit Reveal Code RED in this Dolce & Gabbana mini-dress. If it had just a few more inches, I would love it. As is, she’s making me really nervous. But I will say this… Diane was impeccably accessorized: Joshua Jackson is adorable.
Next up: January Jones in Alexander McQueen. I thought January looked like ten kinds of hell, and it wasn’t even the awkward McQueen dress. She just looked drawn and exhausted, and the hair looks like mine after I’ve been working out for an hour. Dirty, sweaty, unwashed, gross. But yeah, I don’t care for the dress. It seems like every ugly dress gets labeled “high fashion” these days.
Kim Kardashian in maternity wear, for some reason. If I was six months pregnant, I would adore this coat.
Lovely Liam Neeson. I’m not a huge fan of the scruffy facial hair, but Liam gets a pass. I still want to hug him.
Ooooh… Adian Quinn is in the movie too. God, I love him. I would do him even if he was wearing that funky necklace.
And RDJ! And Susan. They were at the premiere too. So cute.

Actually, I liked January’s dress much better than Diane’s. But you’re right, January’s hair is a f*cking mess.
And Liam Neeson is one of my favorite actors. And it was nice seeing RDJ there.

Yellow/gold eyeshadow looks cute sometimes but never, and I mean never, photographs well. Bronze yes, light gold no.
I get it – the stylist was trying to punk up her image to match the dress. Well, the dress sucks and the makeup sucks harder.

Jones’ dress is too much and it winds up looking a bit uggo. It would look much better without those button things and the flap. And not only is her hair terrible, her make up makes her look “flu-ish”.
So agree – just want to hug Liam. Thank God for RDJ too – love that man! I don’t hate JJ’s hair or dress.
I like January’s dress, but not on her and not with that hair-do. I am not liking Diane’s dress, she does not have the legs to pull that one off – it looks like something is missing but a great come-back with her male-dong accessory.

I seriously think January Jones might be developmentally delayed. It would explain so, so much about her.
I adore January’s dress but her makeup is bad. Diane looks really awkward in that cut and lenght. Usualy she’s elegant but not this time.
I think that Kruger and Jones both got so caught in ‘fashion’ that they forgot to wear something that looked good on them. Also, I didn’t realize how unattractive really jacked up heels can be to woman’s legs and ankles.
Kruger looked extremely uncomfortable in that dress. I didn’t really like JJ’s dress either,but at least she didn’t look like she was wishing she had worn something else.
I like January Jone’s dress, but I don’t like her (in general) on it. I can see Angelina in a dress like that, if only she’d dare to wear something other than glitter-ugly sacks.
Diane’s dress top half is cute, but it’s too short, even for a person who has nice legs, but who cares when there’s Joshua Jackson around?
Kruger’s dress is not only too short but also robs her of any waist. My main problem with Jones’ get up is the eye makeup, it makes her look quite mannish. She has such a delicate face that the makeup totally takes over.
ugh, I take back what I said about Jan Jones looking good on the red carpet. She looks like hell warmed over here.

diane’s dress is beautiful and suits her too. the first thing you notice on january is the lipstick, then the horrible dress. her hair also reminds me of the bad haircut i had in high school.
not to pick on her more… but when she was being interviewed on the daily show, she was wearing a dress that she didn’t want to put her arms down (like a barbie). it looked painful and was awkward to watch.
Dianne’s “dress” seems more like a shirt and looks pretty inappropriate. I LOVE January’s dress, but that makeup is awful and f’s up her face. They should have picked a different eyeshadow and lipstick color for sure.
Diane Kruger is so beautiful it hurts to look at her. Jan Jones… not so much.

shit the makeup on jones is awful. she was on DS the other night in black mini and looked gorgeous. but kruger is vixen, she’s so hot it doesnt matter what she wears. i especially love this dress on her.

I liked the top of Diane’s dress, but actually physically flinched when I scrolled down and saw the rest of it — or, rather, the lack of the rest of it. It looks like she’s wearing a napkin as a skirt. How in the world did she put this on and think it was a good thing to wear to a premiere? Good grief!

January Jones’ dress was kinda cool. But Kruger needs to learn how to dress for the season. RDJ was wearing a jacket AND sweater, while Kruger wore a bedazzled doily. Brrrrr.

@whitedaisy: My girlfriend worked on the Dawson’s Creek set for years and years. I partied kissed him on more than one occasion… swoon. It should be noted that he was a bit of a drinker back in the day and I may have taken advantage of him. And I’m okay with that.

January’s dress is wearing her and the makeup is too severe for her coloring. It overwhelms her features. She is a pretty woman. Just not liking this look on her.
