I don’t know why we have so much royal news today. First we had the story about Kate Middleton and Camilla Parker Bowles at each other’s throats, and now this. This sad news will likely cause several ginger-fetishists (Michael K) to throw themselves into the pit of despair. According to Star Magazine (caveat, caveat), Prince Harry wants to marry on-again girlfriend Chelsy Davy. You see, I don’t really think that was what Chelsy was aiming for. I think she just wanted to be invited to the wedding, and maybe got some hot ginger Best Man action. Chelsy’s not in it for the ring:
Prince William isn’t the only marriage-minded young royal. Back-on lovebirds Prince Harry, 26, and Chelsy Davy, 25, are now getting so serious, he wants to tie the knot with her as soon as possible after his older brother and his fiancee Kate Middleton say their “I do”s this April.
“Harry hopes to announce his engagement to Chelsy a few months after Will’s wedding,” an insider says.
Although Harry and Chelsy have split several times during their seven-year relationship, he’s certain she’s The One, the insider adds.
“There aren’t many people he trusts, but he knows he can count on Chelsy.”

Wouldn’t it be nice to think that Harry is the romantic, passionate one? That he sees Chelsy as the love of his life and he’s set to make her his bride because he’s so in love? It’s also nice to think that if Harry ever does pop the question, Chelsy will turn him down. Just my thought – she already has money, and she’s starting her career as a lawyer. Why buy the ginger cow when you can get the strawberry-flavored milk for free? Isn’t that right? Someone told me ginger dongs taste like strawberries? If only.
Last thing: this girl has a kick-ass body, and I totally admire her game and her career (coughWaitycough). That being said, at certain angles, in certain lights… she’s just not very attractive.

I would be inclined to believe this one. For one thing, I think Kate and Pippa Middleton would be pushing this relationship. Chelsy is a known quantity to Kate and heaven forbid if Harry would marry an absolute knockout Victoria secret model type girl who would outshine Kate. Secondly Chelsy is a party girl not a lawyer. If she was a lawyer she would be practicing law right now. Chelsy is probably hoping for a ring so she doesn’t have to bother with that grueling thing called work. Which is why she probably went to Law school in the first place, to avoid the daily 9-5 schedule. Who could blame her, if you have the money,why not?

Garvels, it is pretty well known that Chelsy is taking some time off before she starts practicing law. She already has a postion set up with a respected firm.
Highly doubt she is waiting for a ring since she has dumped Harry before and has stated she doesn’t care for living in England too much.

the folks who went there were poor, or forced to go, trying their hand and ranchign and farming…not the rich colonial rulers and their families-many of whom left post independence…but those who were the working class immigrants from UK-they do have a certain ‘ghettro charm’ about them, er, redneck quality, perhaps you could call it.
I have lived in africa for an extended period of time-and even the expat kids whose parents basically raised them there (in addition to the generations back folks there), have that smoking/drinking/hard living edge…oh, sure, top education, and somewhat hardy/rugged quality to them, but also a bit of a ‘rode hard’ quality to them. lol.

and when i saw the NY’s pics of chelsea with a bunch of zimbabweans-it just brought back so many memories of semi trashy, but very rich, white ppl partying like there’s no tomorrow…very characteristic of most of the former colonies there…

I can appreciate that chelsea will always miss/prefer it. b/c it does have the expeditioner aspect to it, that can be hard to shake, once it gets into your blood, or in her case-is in her blood. It’s kind of a freeing aspect, really.

And in terms of Chelsea’s looks, I saw her in person at UCT and she’s actually very attractive in the flesh. She’s no tall, gaunt model, but she has a firm curvaceous body, full face, feminine features etc. I can definitely see the appeal.
For Harry it also seems to be for the most part her independence and lack of interest in his royalty that most attracts him.
Saw them out at a club together in Cape Town sneaking a kiss behind a large pole hoping no one would see it. They looked so happy and into each other. Hope they figure it all out!
