Celine Dion sang the tribute song, Smile, to the people we lost this year and of course they left out Corey Haim and put in a bunch of screenwriters, agents and industry people most of us have never heard of. (Props for using pictures and footage of people smiling with the nice send off of Kevin McCarthy toasting at the end.) That’s another issue, but Celine looked incredibly banging in this ethereal silver Armani Prive after having twins just four months ago. Giuliana Rancic, who has cited Rachel Zoe as her pregnant thinspiration, was practically drooling over Celine’s post baby figure during E!’s red carpet coverage. Dimwit Kelly Osbourne initially thought that it was Penelope Cruz, not Celine, who had just given birth to twins and Giuliana had to school her about it. Maybe that’s because Penelope still looks juicy and hot post-birth while Celine quickly went back to her pin thin self.

That’s not to say that Celine is anything but sublime in this dress. Celine is working those nursing boobs, and I love that gorgeous jewel nestling in her cleavage. You know that necklace is worth seven figures. This is how you do pale metallic, and while Goopy got a lot of compliments for her dress I thought it was too boxy on her figure. Celine’s somehow makes her look curvy despite how tiny she is.

I also loved Celine’s soft wavy hair, which was a very nice trend last night, and her bronzed makeup with peach cheeks and lips. She looked amazing, she wasn’t orange and, just like Marisa Tomei, she wasn’t waxy or puffy at all. Celine is everything the Oscars weren’t this year – elegant, classic and graceful.
