Can I admit something? Unless it involves Michael Fassbender or someone equally sexy, I am totally over the use of male actors on the cover of fashion magazines. Bradley Cooper is not equally sexy to Fassbender, but B. Coop is a bigger “name” celebrity than the utterly indistinctive Abbie Cornish, who for all we know is just Charlie Theron in a hideous wig, so that’s why Bradley is one the April cover of Marie Claire as well. Anyway, Bradley and Abbie are in Limitless together, and they did the Marie Claire interview together too. It’s a totally boring Q&A, and you can read it here.
What I really want to talk about is this week’s Star Magazine cover story. Apparently, the tabloid has an “exclusive” on Bradley Cooper’s wandering dong. According to the tabloid, Bradley has been fooling around on Renee Zellweger with… Sandra Bullock! And maybe Jessica Biel too.
In a fairly juicy cover story, we learn that Bradley Cooper and Sandra Bullock left a hotel just minutes apart, looking flustered, with mussed-up hair! Part of Bradley’s shirt was sticking out of his pants, and his hat was on crooked, says an eyewitness. Sandra’s outfit was pretty wrinkled, too.
Also! Bradley was caught “cuddling” Jessica Biel on the set of New Year’s Eve during a break from filming in late February. According to the Harlequin romance writers at the mag, “his hand lingered on her hip and he pressed up against her” and “Bradley stared deep into her eyes and smiled back knowingly.”
So: Is Jessica Biel’s bond with Bradley Cooper what tore her and Justin apart? Rumor has it JT was “incredibly jealous” and “suspected there was something going on.”

Quite honestly, I think Star might have picked those two names out of the air. Well… Star claims to have the photographic evidence of Sandy and B. Coop, but I tend to think that Bradley is allegedly boning Sandy and Jessica, according to this tabloid, because there are plenty of photos of Bradley with those two ladies. Because he’s worked with both of them, and all of them promote their junk. Also: this is not the first time Star has claimed that Bradley has screwed around on Renee. Back in 2009, Bradley was allegedly boning Jordana Brewster’s little sister Isabella on the down-low, behind Renee’s back. So… is Bradley a cheater?

Is Bradley cheating? Probably. I’d be more surprised about Sandra Bullock than Jessica Biel. I could defintely see him hooking up with Biel.

Remember that blind item recently about “new gay Hollywood,” closeted but cycling through the same beards? Someone needs to do some social network analyses of the linkages among Biel, Bullock, Zellweger, Timberlake, Cameron Diaz, Drew Barrymore, Alex Rodriguez, Kate Hudson, Bradley Cooper, John Mayer, Jennifer Aniston, and, among the younger set, Taylor Swift, Joe Jonas, Lautner, Julianne Hough, Seacrest, et al. I’m agnostic on Gyllenhaal, and think he’s less predictable. He may be bisexual, or his people link him up with less predictable folks (prior to Taylor Swift).
Many of the above-mentioned are likely bi, but Cameron Diaz has always struck me as a lesbian. Her current relationship with A. Rod and the rumors about threesomes with women don’t change that perception.
But Cooper’s publicist (and Bullock’s and Biel’s) is really working overtime with this one. All three have reasons to want to promote themselves as straight. Sandy’s facing lesbian rumors lately, Biel had a humiliating breakup from a faux relationship (that Timberlake’s folks have decided to spin in a way that makes him look like he had the upper hand when the relationship was an arrangement), and Bradley wants a career as a top leading man–something he might feel would be jeopardized if he were out.
It stinks that actors have to hide their real relationships. Gay men can portray straight men in movies (Paul Lynde excepted), and they’re no less or more physically attractive because of their sexual orientation.

I was watching The A-Team last night (don’t start throwing things at me, I was bored and Justified didn’t start ’til 10!) and I couldn’t help thinking how adorable he is but what a douche he could probably be. I kind of like Renee, so for her sake, I hope they are really as happy as they seem. But hey…what the heck do I know? 🙂

I believe it. I don’t know if he’s gay, but Renee Zellweger has always struck me as totally asexual, and Bradley Cooper makes my douchmeter chime. I think his wandering dong probably had something to do with his 4 month marriage to Jennifer Esposito. I really don’t get his appeal- he reminds me of the overaged, loser beach boys that were still hanging around the boardwalk looking to pick up teenage girls.

I’m kinda tired of people assuming that every single actor in Hollywood is gay. If they are, I have no problem with that: I understand that it’s called ‘acting’ for a reason, and don’t care what a person’s sexuality is. But, just as not everyone is straight, not every cute actor is gay, either. I think part of my issue with this theory is that people think all these rich, successful women are willing to stay in relationships and waste away some of the best years of their life and career to be a beard and further someone else’s career. This isn’t 1940 where the studios force contracted actors to date each other anymore.
I bet Biel would hit that, tho. She needs some rebound dong.

I think there are some obviously some gay actors and beards out there but there are just as many gossip hounds and bloggers who like to stir shit up. A lot of Bradley C’s Limitless was shot in Philadelphia-making it look like New York. There are scenes when he is running for office that were shot directly across the street from my office. I watched scenes being shot. I was more psyched about Robert Deniro than Bradley C.
Anywhoo, I saw Renee Z in the starbucks a few times in the morning. She waited in line and no one said anything to her. She is EXTREMELY petite. I mean I am 5’6 and an 8 and I felt like a man standing next to her. She was on the set all day. She would watch as they looked at scenes. She was laughing with the crew. Bradley C. is small as well. He is very svelt? and lean. But a lot smaller than I expected.

I think that it takes a special type of person to throw themselves into the public eye. I also think it takes extraordinary narcissism to be able to be an actor/singer/tabloid wh*re, so I am willing to believe every cheating story, and wait for it to be proven wrong.
Celebrities, more now than ever, believe they are invincible, and being treated like a god, makes even someone who used to be nice and seemingly moral, able to do whatever actions with very little consequences.
Bottom line: gay or straight, this man is screwing someone behind her back. Bet.

I didn’t get back to this thread until late in the game, but by no means do I think all of Hollywood is gay or that successful women are merely bearding for the men. I’m saying that lesbian or bisexual women may willingly “date” gay men, as a quid pro quo. The blind items may be wrong, but I wouldn’t have a difficult time believing that a group of attractive people would find it convenient to date or hang out as needed to cover their real interests. They may have genuine love and affection for one another, as we all do for our closest friends, and the arrangement may suit them.
If Bradley Cooper is gay (and I’ve read very specific items about him and his former co-star), it stinks that it’s better for his career to be seen as a cad or a cheater (with Sandra and Jessica as “other women”) than it would be for him (and them, if they’re lesbians) to come out.
I will say, though, that while Hollywood isn’t “all gay,” and all actors aren’t presumptively in the closet, it does seem to me that the percentage of openly gay and lesbian performers is much lower there than in most other creative fields (and in the broader population).
At the same time, I can see why many stay in the closet, since I’ve heard straight women say they lost their crushes on male stars once they found out they were gay. WTF? Like the guys were legitimate dating prospects to begin with!

it is sunday 3/20/11 and it is Now official that Rene and Bradley C have parted ways. I would doubt Sandra Bullock is involved since she has just made it clear after the rumors of dating Ryan. The only man in her life is Louis, but it may not have stopped her from taking a hit from both of these guys.

It’s an emotional & instinctive reaction….not a logical one. I found out recently a TV actor I thought was hot is gay & he’s just not attractive anymore. It was an instantaneous death of a crush. Of course I never thought he’d be a prospect, but it’s not about what is realistic; it’s about fantasy, and now the fantasy is killed by the thought that he likes other dudes. It changes the perceptions a LOT. He’s still good-looking, but I have no visceral reaction now & am not as inclined to watch his show because of it.
I think the beard theory is interesting, especially when you observe the musical chair dating of the same celebs. Even if these women are not gay themselves, it can be a career advantage to be linked to a successful actor/singer. It might also leave them open to pursue more private relationships with non-famous people. There are a million reasons arranged, “faux” relationships would still occur in Hollywood, and neither both nor even one of the parties has to be gay, but that certainly would be one motivation.
