These are photos of Kate Bosworth and Alexander Skarsgard, partying and hanging at Coachella on Friday night. Most of the photos of them feature The Bos animatedly talking/flirting with a bartender while Alex looks sort of bored and drunk, and then he begins to play with his phone. Maybe I’m reading too much into it, but I think that speaks volumes about their dynamic.
But still… they went to Coachella together. The Bos is clinging to her bitch at all costs, despite the reports that they’re done or close to being done, and despite her Alex-free Mexican vacation last week. They’re still on, and The Bos made sure that you know they’re still on.
Meanwhile, all of her incessant clinging and famewhoring is paying off – she just booked another gig! How this chick gets work, I have no idea. But she signed on to yet another jack Kerouac adaptation, this one Big Sur. I’ve read most of Kerouac’s books, but I missed that one. The Bos is playing a character named Billie, who is based on the real-life mistress of Jack Kerouac and Neal Cassady. Josh Lucas is playing the Cassady character (ew) and Jean-Marc Barr (who?) is playing the Kerouac character. Yeah… this one sounds pretty bad already.

That’s the weirdest part of their “relationship”. He always looks like he would rather be anywhere else while she’s trying to play it up with a smirk. There are more pictures of her trying to flirt it up with him and everyone else while he is giving her the “You’re not funny” face. Also some rather tense moments too. He’ll smile at anyone but her.
I’m amazed too at how a celebrity boyfriend has brought her so much exposure. No wonder she broke it off with that model guy. She was getting nowhere with him!
There’s something about Coachella that makes every celebrity in attendance look like a douchebag. I think it’s because they all seem to “costume” themselves in “What would a hippy wear to a big concert” attire and end up looking like they’re trying too hard.

So funny, I don’t think their dynamic is what is being portrayed at all. I think he’s totally whipped but tries his best not to show it in public. But I recall how he was looking at her last year at Coachella when he was drunk off his ass. Maybe he’s been trying to make up for that by playing cool to the paps all year. lol
Does this mean he’s cool with her blowing off a children’s charity to flash her ta-tas in Mexico? And I have a feeling that the claws are in until at least Cannes-there’s no way she’s going to miss making that appearance.

@Rita: I think that’s a tip jar. It looks like bills on the bottom unless my mind is playing tricks on me. I don’t understand the Kate hate either. There are times when she’s clearly posing and probably called the paps but a lot of celebrities attend Coachella. I doubt she called them. Also Alex strikes as a quiet type. Even in photos without Kate he seems really laidback. I think it’s just his personality and not a reflection of their relationship.
Hey Kaiser, I am actually attending Coachella this weekend and have VIP tickets as well. I have probably run into Alex and Kate at least 3 times already. Alex is always trying to get away from the pap’s, and he drags Kate away. I nearly ran into him one time coming in through the entrance. Also, Kate looks incredibly skinny in real life, but I’m sure her standing next to Alex doesn’t help the comparison!

Another day, another grumpy pap face. At best he does seem bored or distracted. There were other pics from yesterday where he looked like he was arguing with her and had to go cool off and get Cher in the middle of all of it. I don’t get why they don’t enjoy the party aspect more – they’re at a music festival, have some fun. The other celebs there look fine, and no way can I be convinced they are harrassed more than any other famous person there (and they know the paps will be there). I think they drink too much, start b*tching at each other and then the rest of the day goes down that way.
She ain’t *that* thin people. I see girls this skinny every day. She’s on the thin side of normal sure, but she’s not stop-and-stare-in-horror skinny.
Like a lot of others have already mentioned, I kept getting distracted by the pockets sticking out of the legs of her shorts… If you insist on wearing shorts that short, at least fix the pokets? Otherwise, choose shorts long enough to cover them.

Annie- I agree with you. However, she is one of those girls that I think looks better with a little weight on her. She looked really good while doing Blue Crush. I just think the athletic look suits her better.
But you’re right, she looks healthy to me. Most people don’t realize that eating less is actually very good for you (if done properly, not the drug way) and you live longer.

You need to remember that the camera adds at least 10lbs. I didn’t think this was true until I saw Diane Kruger in person. In photos she looks thin but not overly so but in person? Tooth-pick. It was scary skinny and I see skinny everyday. I live in Vancouver and all the skinny bitches that live in my neighbourhood of Yaletown…it’s an epidemic here. If Kate’s looking thin but not scary thin in photos she’s probably bordering really thin in person. That being said, she’s looking about a million times better lately. I can’t stand her but she’s a beautiful girl and I love her style.

@latam: I’m sure that there are a number for AS stans who are jealous of Kate just because she’s dating Alex, but a lot of people disliked Kate even b4 they started dating. She’s had a long-time reputation as some one who loves attention, and her current relationship is doing nothing to dispel that image. Alex always looks surly at the paps and she always looks smug and delighted.
Of course, we don’t know what’s truly going on with them, they could be totally in love, but the public dynamics of their relationship is what people are responding to. Also, I think that another reason that AS fans are so negative towards her is that, while their coupling has gotten both their names mentioned in the press more often, she has seemingly benefited from it way more than him.
Kate has landed a role in Big Sur and is being considered for a leading role in the re-boot of Total Recall. So far, Alex doesn’t seem to have any projects lined up after he finishes filming TB this year. He was being considered for a role in a film called Kon Tiki, but he lost it to some one else.

MarySue, well put – I think it’s easy for most people to put the rancor around her off to jealousy, but honestly, I would just like the two of them (not just her) to look happy together out in public. Also those photos last year of her and Alex in Palm Springs after Coachella…the hardcore POSING! So many people hate on her and blame her for his looking unhappy etc. He’s a big boy though and if he is that unhappy in a relationship as it might appear, then he should walk away – which apparently he hasn’t.
I agree though that it does seem strange how happy and gracious he acts around others but not to her.
Sorry, but it does kinda reek of jealousy. They’ve been together for ages, he’s obviously happy with her, despite his fans speculating that she makes him miserable, and she’s not just some dumb, skinny blonde. I mean she was accepted at Princeton. Maybe she’s a bit of a poser, but that’s hardly a crime in Hollywood. She’s still young (my age!), so I think we should give her a break.

Just a note….the role in Kon Tiki is going to be done by AS’s brother Gustav Skarsgard. Could be his brother ask him to read the script and give an opinion on it? Then because someone saw him reading it rumors began that he was up for it.
As for Kate’s trip to Mexico she was outside so much she had to get a salon tan when she returned? I think the trip was for something else entirely that had to be done in a timely manner and rest after. And doing it to steal from AS’s thunder {for lack of a better word} is just her style.

I really agree with you on this. AS was reading the script after Gustav asked him too and probably wanted his opinion on the role. Whatever AS told him worked becuase Gustav got the part (good for him).
