These are some new photos of Katie Holmes at an event called “Beauty Culture” – I think it was a photography exhibit. The guests included Halle Berry, Dita Von Teese, and tons of Scientology people, so take that however you want. I’m just going to be covering Katie Holmes’s appearance. Now… I’ve been yelled at before when I’ve criticized Katie for not dressing for her body. Most normal women understand their body faults and figure out ways to minimize their perceived faults and accentuate their positives. Katie never learned. She consistently wears styles that emphasize the wrong features. Plus, she’s just one of those chicks who makes expensive clothes look cheap. I can’t even begin to describe how this above-the-knee skirt and chunky booties were not the right choice for Katie’s legs. It should be a crime to do this to yourself. When are women going to realize this? If you have anything other than super-slim, toned legs, these booties will make your legs look TERRIBLE.
I do think Katie’s hair looks pretty. Over the weekend, I dyed my hair for the first time (ever), and it ended up a similar color to Katie’s. She also looks like she got some sun (probably from sitting by the pool all day with her daughter), which works on her. Should I talk about the clothes? They’re awful and ill-fitting. She has no taste.
By the way, as I looking through photos of Katie, I found this one of she and Tom at the taping of Oprah’s farewell show extravaganza. This is the face of contract renegotiations.

Katie is a pretty woman, but gawd she’s got some tree trunks for legs…no way around that. This article is “right on,” because Katie cannot/refuses to dress for her body type.

I agree that she doesn’t dress as well as she could and most of what she wears looks cheap and unflattering.

I dye my hair that color a couple of times a year. Mine’s only a few shades lighter, but there’s just something striking about this rich brown.

Wrinkled silk boxer shorts? Ugh. Does she look in the mirror before she leaves the house? That first outfit is particularly tragic-none of it works. The jacket is the wrong color and style for the dress. The shade of brown is unflattering. Kaiser’s already dealt with the bootie issue.
From what I was told, there were actually two different contracts before the wedding- one before the pregnancy, the other addressed paternity.
That photo of her with Tom is scary. She looks totally glazed over and in wrinkled silk shorts no less. Now I see he is wearing his hair puffed up in front to try and look taller, along with his normal shoe lifts. He should own his small stature and stop trying to be what he is not–TALL.
Whatever material the bottom outfit is made from, it reminds me of a salmon colored shirt I had from The Limited back in 1993. Not a good.thing. Why is she also mixing what appears to be cotton eyelet with suede shoes in May??

You’ve got a good point. Tom has gotten all the PR that he can out of this “marriage” and he will spend millions to win custody of Suri (“joint custody” like with Nicole but Suri will never leave his side). So there isn’t much left for him there. And since the marriage was all PR from the start, why not move on? Unless a PR marriage is better than him pretend-dating young starlets, I guess. And another marriage would be #4 – a bit hard to explain/ justify.

My sister has legs like Katie’s and she calls her legs tree trunk all the time and she loves the shape of her legs and wears clothes that make them look their best.

@Susan – I just asked my husband what he thinks of stepford’s legs and he said they aren’t bad whereas I think they look too big. But I think it is the clothes she wears though that make her look off.
