Here are some new photos of Ralph Fiennes in Russia today, at some film festival where he is presenting his directorial debut, Coriolanus. Several things jumped out at me at once. First of all, Ralph looks GOOD. The last time I saw him, he had shaved off all of his hair. It’s grown back, and while he’s still got a wonky hairline, I think he looks better with some hair. He looks like a scary predator with no hair.
Anyway, so now that my English Patient Ralph has come back to me, what does he do? He breaks my heart by showing up with his GIRLFRIEND. And she’s an aristocrat. Her name is Lady Amanda Harlech. They’ve been dating for several years (on and off, I believe), and she’s considered “glamorous”. I think she’s pretty-ish and age-appropriate for him. But it’s notable that she came with Ralph to the film festival. While they’ve been photographed together before, occasionally, they’ve never really done the red carpet thing, and I get the feeling that she rarely goes to his premieres or anything. Perhaps she’s the one to get Ralph to settle down? The thought makes me want to cry.

I think Ralph is a good actor but I prefer his brother Joseph in the looks department.

Ooh, he’s awesome. And this movie he’s promoting is the one he shot last year with Gerard Butler. You know what that means: press junket with one or both of these hunky guys!

Alex Kingston supported Rafe for 10years before he hit is big. He married her and then dumped her (after a short period) for Annis.(Who left her long time partner and father of her children)
Then Rafe did his version of “Snakes on a plane” with a stewardess thus making Annis dump him.

Oh how it pains me to say this, because I adore Ralph Fiennes…..but he is not aging well at all in my eyes.

I met him on a flight from London to Dublin last year. No snakes on a plane that time! (great comment 12, Praise St Aingel!)
He was smallish, scrawny and shaven headed and I looked at him and was really surprised by how ordinary he is in the flesh…really surprised. Love him as an actor though, mesmerising.

Indeed, after I commented I saw that he had hooked up with Annis whilst still married to Alex Kingston. Hmmm, I decided not to follow the line of speculation too far as I don’t know the intimate details of the relationship. It does, however, seem REALLY sketchy.
Ralphie is a good actor but why don’t we ever hear anything about Gary Oldham?
Gary is a genius actor and I would think he and Ralph would be up for alot of the same parts.
I think Ralph Fiennes is a very attractive man; however, for me, it’s not just his looks. It’s the whole “tortured artist” thing that he has going on that does it for me. I’d love to do “Much Ado About Nothing” with him. He would make a great Benedick to my Beatrice. I look forward to seeing what he does in the future. I particularly loved him in “Onegin” – the music his brother composed for the film was divine.

Ralph Fiennes is still undoubtably one of the best actors of his time, whether he looks half dead or not :p People radiate what they feel inside, maybe he’s unhappy, overworked or just plain tired, who knows. That look is definately not flattering to him or to his lady friend…I hope he finds genuine happiness with whomever he decides to marry, and then we’ll see that rakishly handsome man, we all like, again.
