Robert Pattinson changes up his hair: most improved, or still too fancy?

For the past few days, I’ve been seeing photos from the set of Cosmopolis, which is the David Cronenberg-directed film starring our beloved Sparkle-pants, Robert Pattinson. Here are some fresh photos from the NYC Toronto set – I really, really enjoy Sparkles’ hair already. They’re made his hair slicked down, and I think he’s wearing a suit for a large chunk of the film, which is nice. It’s great to see him dressed as an adult, it’s nice to see him without the dirty, smelly bird’s nest hair, and it’s nice to think that Sparkles will continue to work beyond the Twilight series. My only quibble with Sparkles in these candids is that his posture – his normal, every day, going to work posture – is horrendous. He’s a tall boy – he should own it! There’s no need to stoop, Robert.

Sparkles also has a new, young, pretty costar who doesn’t bite her lips compulsively, nor does roll her eyes whenever someone tries to talk to her. I’m just guessing. Her name is Sarah Gadon, and she’s already been marked for death by rampaging Twihards. Here’s a photo (courtesy of Caitlin Cronenberg, the director’s daughter) of Sparkles and Sarah together.

Robert Pattinson’s new sexy leading lady is getting sweet revenge on Kristen Stewart. Actress Sarah Gadon first tried out for the coveted leading part in Snow White and the Huntsman — but Kristen snagged her dream role! So what did Sarah do? She landed a part opposite of Kristen’s boyfriend Rob, playing his wife in the film Cosmopolis, which started filming in Toronto last week.

While Kristen got the big starring gig as Snow White, Sarah gets to spend all day with Rob for two months straight — and likely share some on screen smooches with the Twilight hunk while they film Cosmopolis together.

We’d say playing Rob’s estranged wife is a pretty nice consolation prize and from the looks of their interactions on set, Sarah and Rob seem to be getting along just fine.

So who is Sarah Gadon?

The 24-year-old Toronto native got her start as a ballet dancer before she began guest staring on teen shows and TV movies such as the Disney Channel’s Cadet Kelly, which starred a then 14-year-old Hilary Duff. The past year has been the biggest year yet for Sarah who has three other movies coming up including A Dangerous Method with Keira Knightley and Viggo Mortenson and Dream House with Daniel Craig and Rachel Weisz.

But it’s safe to say playing opposite of Rob in Cosmopolis will be her biggest career highlight yet. The film centers around a day in the life of Rob’s character, Eric Packer, a New York stock market multi-millionaire. Cosmopolis started filming May 23 in Toronto and runs through July 21, according to the movie’s Facebook page. Snow White and the Huntsman is currently in pre-production.

Yeah, that sounds like a press release from Sarah’s publicist. Oh, this will get GOOD. If Sarah’s the kind of girl I think she is (please, God), then she’s going to try to get into the sparklepants. And when she does, all hell will break loose. *fingers crossed*

@ Mari You literally made me lol. That’s how I feel, too.

  5. RobN says:

Doesn’t matter what they do with the hair until somebody takes a weedwhacker to those eyebrows.

  6. Amanda G says:

Ugh…I hate it when men do the “side part.”

  7. Lola says:

Dayum he looks good with that hair. I want more.

  8. Quest says:

If I was Sarah I would get into his pants…feeling the wrath of KStew’s eyerolling coming soon.

  9. Celebs.com says:

    God, I love him.

  10. Cheyenne says:

Oh hell, what’s the diff? He could shave his head bald as an egg and he’d still be drop-dead gorgeous.

  11. Lisa says:

Kaiser you take that back! I love K-Stew and sparklepants together!

  13. MMF says:

I watched him in an oldie last night.
The Bad Mothers Handbook, or something like that.
Acting not bad. Still not much to look at if you ask me.

  14. junk573r says:

He looks a lot like Toby McGuire in these pics.

  15. buckley says:

Like the hair, now if he could only act…

  16. mia girl says:

I think he looks really great.

His new hair style further accentuates his facial features giving me more “jaw porn” to admire.

  17. hairball says:

I like his casual hair better and scruff. Don’t like over gelled hair – esp parted so neatly to the side.

But, still has that handsome face.

  18. Deven says:

Will never be able to figure out why women like boys instead of men!

  19. B says:

    I don’t like his mouth

  20. Vee says:

I like the hair. Rob seems pretty versatile, hair wise, he looks good with many styles.

Kaiser – a couple of corrections. The movie is being filmed in Toronto, not NYC. And the actress last name is Gadon, not Gordon. She’s a lovely Canadian actress, very pretty!

  21. mdf says:

I’d fuck the sparkles out of him any day!

  22. Shy says:

Well I saw Water for Elephants finally… Gosh he is just lost. He can not act at all. It was pleasant movie actually. While Reese and him were hugely miscast but it was fine story and mood. But every time they showed him on screen I was almost screaming: “Dude, come on. Just try to act and don’t walk around with that “I’m gonna throw up any second” face. While watching his pity acting I was bored and was picturing other actors on his place and how they could play that moment. How they could move their faces… It was fun game. But he was still walking with that face expression.

I don’t have any hope that he will look any different in this movie. His face is not capable of acting.

  23. carrie says:

he’s not Patrick Bateman (the one&only interesting yuppie i know)

  24. fannomore says:

looks like ellen page with lipstick

  25. jemshoes says:

Most Improved! Well done, Sparklepants! 🙂 I agree, it’s nice to see Rob looking like a (very young) adult and wearing a suit – basically looking nothing like Edward Cullen.

  26. chalen says:

He looks pretty no matter what, he’s just a fine featured boy, good jaw and cheekbones and nose. I agree with laineygossip though, he’s got some major teacup pouring hands though, they don’t even look real.

  27. mary simon says:

Second the “jaw porn” observation – he has great facial structure – calls for extreme hair – loved his scruffy look and the James Dean high hair he had in the first Twilight movie. Do not like him cleaned up with short hair.

  28. Dani says:

    He looks gorgeous!

  29. chris says:

Sarah Gadon is very pretty. Hopefully she’s not that type of girl. If anything develops between them hopefully it’s natural and not because she’s an opportunist. I absolutely love Rob’s looks for this movie and I also love those red pants. He’s gorgeous.

  30. toto says:

he remind me of less masculine Omar al sharaif aka dr zhivago

    check it out

  31. taxi says:

Whatever appeal he might have completely escapes me. In “Twilight”, he & Stewy just brood at each other. In “Water for Elephants” he had 1 facial expresion. The guy can’t act, has a weird failed-boxer, triple ski jump nose & I agree with RobN – the eyebrows have a life of their own & need major cutting. They’re scary-creepy, just like him.

  32. jennifer says:

    is he pigeon toed?
