My “I told you so” smug is all over that Jessica Biel post, but what can I say? I’m having a good gossip day as far as my predictions coming true. Remember how Pippa Middleton went on a “friendly vacation” with a group of people that consisted of her ex-boyfriend (who will incidentally be the Duke of Northumberland), but not her supposedly current boyfriend Alex Loudon? And I said that Pippa is totally the kind of girl who was in the midst of reviewing her options, boyfriend and potential-husband-wise, now that her sister is a duchess and now that Pippa is getting so much attention. I said that Pippa was going to dump Alex Loudon and set her sights on becoming a duchess too. Well, guess what?
Pippa is single! That’s the news out of England, where Duchess Catherine’s younger sister, Pippa Middleton, is said to have broken up with boyfriend Alex Loudon, who accompanied her to the Royal Wedding in April.
“It is common knowledge in their close circle of friends that Pippa and Alex have recently split up,” a friend is quoted as telling the Times of London.
Middleton’s newfound celebrity put a strain on the relationship, though the pair will “stay good friends,” the Sun reports.
Loudon, 30, is a former professional cricket player turned broker.
Lately, Middleton, 27, has been spending quite a bit of time with George Percy, an old boyfriend from her college days.
She and Percy, the son of the Duke of Northumberland, recently partied in Spain together and also watched some tennis together at the Queens Club.

Meanwhile, Pippa’s sister Kate was all over the place this weekend. She did the Trooping the Colour thing with William and the royal family, then she and Pippa went to a wedding of one of their friends, AND then Kate and William went to a birthday party for Prince Phillip. Kate totally recycled too – she wore the same fug hat to the Trooping the Colour and the wedding, and she wore the same fug coat to Phillip’s party that she wore several years ago to a wedding. I guess she’s trying to send the signal that she’s not a total diva clotheshorse who must have new outfits for every occasion? Yeah… that will change, I think.
UPDATE: We just got the photos of Kate wearing the blue coat. I’m still meh on it.

I get why people talk about Kate but what exactly is the appeal of her family members? I can barely get it up for the royal family as it but now they have to talk about Kate’s dull as dirt siblings. So her brother likes to show to his buttocks, big whoop. Her sister looks likes a little bit like her and dresses just as bad…who cares? Unless one of Kate’s siblings marries Harry I fail to see their appeal.
I love the sisters Middleton…they are such a boost for Britain. Too bad Cheryl Cole couldn’t get this kind of press, but let’s get real, she is no Kate or Pippa!
This insistence on making Pippa “happen” is doing the exact opposite. This is a 27 (in dog years) old who is still supported financially by her parents and with a life goal of marrying into some form of aristocracy. Damn girl make a life for yourself. Same goes for Kate. Be your own woman!!!!

I actually like Waity’s dress. Why do these young women look so much older than they are? Pippa looks older than Waity in this picture; is it all the tanning she does?

Fug coat?! I love that blue coat–it’s gorgeous! I don’t blame her for wanting to be able to wear it more than once. And yes, Pippa does seem to look very old and matronly in that shiny yellow-green coat getup. *That* is fugly.
They’re OK…pretty but no amount of makeup, hairstyling, fake tanner, designer clothes or even photo retouch will have either sister coming even close to the late Lady Di’s natural beauty, grace and public charm. Sorry but it’s true.

Pippa is haggard looking to me, she’s nothing special looking. Besides that she is just a different class of gold digging famewhore from what we usually see here. Looking at that last pic of them the envy of her sister is palpable.
I don’t care much about her love life since right now I’m more concerned about her appearance: why all of a sudden does she look like a tranny mess?
In that header headshot of Pippa in the hat she looks like a rugged, harried charwoman in a period movie. Thank goodness for Pippa that she’s the sister who’ll be able to have all the cosmetic surgery she needs without public outcry.
Maybe the relationship with Loudon was rocky before the wedding, but Pippa didn’t want to spoil the festivities by going through a breakup then, so she waited till after to break it off.
Another possibility: Loudon got cold feet when Pippa emerged as the star of the wedding, and wanted out because he didn’t want the media attention that comes with being part of the Middleton family.

That black/ivory dress with the rings that Kate has on is GREAT. I love it and it looks great on her.
Both, but especially Kate, could really do with way less make-up. And I also wonder whether Kate always looks so smug or it’s just that those are the pictures that get the most ‘press’?
They both look older than their age but Pippa loves to tan, which ages her even more. As to Kate’s clothes, I agree on the blue coat: the color and pattern remind me of an old lady tea cosy. I love the McQueen white coat and Pippa’s chartreuse coat is nice too though the edging on the sleeves is a bit much. She’s a total social climber for sure. They don’t call them Wisteria Sisters for nothing.. 😉
Kaiser: Pippa may be aiming to be a duchess, but that doesn’t explain why she didn’t hook up with the duke before now. They have been friends for 10 years, why would she wait so long if that was her goal? I wondered if he was gay?
Pippa did act extremely chummy with Percy. She knew they were being photographed, and if Loudon dumped her she might have wanted to make him jealous.
anon, I totally agree. Diana had that something both girls lack: charm, freshness, beauty and sincerity. And of course a very unique mix of sex appeal and innocence. Kate is charming and pretty but she has no magic like Diana had. Both girls look HARD, with the kind of sharp edge Diana never had, not even when she was older. I see this softness in Princess Mathilde of Belgium but she has no star quality Diana had.
I called this one too! The only thing that does surprise me is the speed in which it happened. It’s only been a bit more than a month since the wedding, and they were supposedly almost engaged before the wedding. Pippa had best be careful; I smell a backlash a comin’.

Kate married her prince, good for her. I am 10 years with my guy, and will continue to ‘wait’ as I love him very much.
Kate’s clothes are apropos for her station in life, and at the cost she should wear them few times, the queen does!

I don’t get why the media are trying to make Pippa so relevant and famous. Kate is a new royal, very pretty and many people are interested in how will she handle her new role. But Pippa? Damn, she looks more like a middle-aged woman than a twenty-something year old. I know women much ,much older than her, who look ten times more youthful.

The dress Waity wore to the wedding is recycled too. She wore it a few years early to a night-club with her sister.. They are both social climber. TOTALLY. Got to respect their drive, & i can’t knock their hustle. Oh my, i really need to get a life lol
It’s so strange why both sisters look so haggard for their age when their mother looks rather young for hers. You’d think one of them would get her genes. Maybe they have the type of faces that stay the same. Meaning they looks older now but in the next twenty years they will stay the same and look younger. But I doubt it because there are deep lines and same sagging in that cheek and mouth area already.
There was something genuine kindness that shone through photographs with Diana.
If you just looove something in your wardrobe you want to wear it more than once, so Kate probably likes that blue coat just as much as we do, and she had to wait a really long time to wear it again; and she chose a really auspicious family occasion, so she must like the coat a lot. I don’t see anything wrong with celebs appearing in a piece of clothing more than once.
I find it improbable rather than impossible for Pippa to catch a DUKE.These people ARE already in close contacts with the Royals, for them it’s going to be a severe downgrade if anything.
I guess she’d end with someone that seeks upgrade in the same circle too.
P.J.,I read somewhere (of course totally unreliable source 😉 that Pippa and the future Duke were more than friends in college but they parted ways.. and it was not HER choice. So now that she’s in the limelight and close to the throne, she appears again very attractive…she’s the future king’s sister in law. Plus the media’s fuss about her – the guy could be impressed and flattered by her attention. This time she won’t let him go.
To be fair-the trooping the colors thing and the wedding were the same day. About 2 hours apart actually-so I don’t begrudge her wearing the same hat/hairstyle. She prob had to rush over to the wedding to not be late, so it makes alot of sense to me.

I agree with everybody who’s saying both sisters look older, I tend to think it’s too much tanning, they both love sunbathing, which in some cases can make you look older.
What’s wrong with recycling? I have favorite clothes and shoes I wear all the time. They are comfortable and look good on me.

By the way, that dress Kate wore the other day with the light pink cascading crystal look was the most perfect dress I’ve seen in a while. She was perfect in it.

I thought this duke guy was a former boyfriend. Have they just always been friends? And she may get her duke but I predict either a divorce or an unhappy marriage for her. It’s very upper-class to recycle your clothing. The queen herself does it, and most of them keep their cars forever, preferring an old, battered land rover to a more luxurious, ostentations vehicle. In some candid of the royal family at Balmoral they look like ‘common’ people.

I don’t get the Pippa thing – she’s got a good body but wth does she do other than vacay?! I think Kate is the better looking one. As for looking older than their years that’s definitely true. But sometimes when someone looks older than their age they actually age well, ie Christie Brinkley (before the Tonys yikes) she’s always looked like she’s in her thirties and now she’s older – you can’t tell what’s changed. As for the Princess Diana comparison if Diana had the grooming and been 28 when she married and not 19 =she would probably be walking around pretty smug too 🙂

Katy Uptrady is beautiful and I love the blue coat on her. I think she is doing great so far. Sometimes she and Pippa do look a little sun-aged – but mostly they look like strong healthy girls who’ve done sports all their lives. Wonder who Pippa will set her sights on next – Hippa or Parry, anyone?
These two are the definition of tools. Any woman in this day and age that spends all her time either angling for a man to give her social status or wearing silly hats rather than working or developing a career is an embarrassment to humanity.

It costs money and is ultimately coming from tax payers I bet. I admire a woman who can be crafty with her style and who knows how to look like a lot more money than she spends; I always find it a sad and moreso disgusting thing to look at for example Ms Beckham, who spends thousands on a small purse or whatever but never uses it twice. THAT, is absurd and cruel to all the poor who could use that wasted, inflated money in charities. Better that she learn to coordinate, and demonstrate another dimension of fashion talent other than producing just one outfit from certain pieces.

I love the coat. I love her. I’m glad she’s wearing things more than once. That’s what 99.9999999% of the world population does.
Annie_Grey – In the 9 years they were together, he didn’t seem to be that into her either so I wouldn’t worry about it. This relationship always looked as one of convenience rather than a love match (after all he wanted other girls but they always turned him down).
Besides William will get to fool around on her soon (if she ever pops out a kid). Royal men will always have that option.
She has to “recycle”. She made a good PR move after the wedding when they said they would live in a small cottage in Wales and forgo servents (I knew that wouldn’t last long). Now it’s been stated they’re moving into Kensington Palace and placing ads for help including a “dresser” (oh brother). So now she has to make it appear that she is one of the little people after showing up in new outfits since her wedding.
William makes 30k a year and had a small fortune when his mother died (5m?), so she has to appear that with her husband’s modest pay package she has to recycle clothes like the plebs.
It won’t last long. She’s been waiting for this and I imagine she’s just chomping at the bit wondering when she can start getting free clothes and wear the family jewels. After all the Royals are CHEAP, frugal to the extreme, since she has no money or job, he won’t want to be paying for her wardrobe for very long. Do you think he gives her an allowance?
And no the Middleton’s are not that wealthy that they can afford to pay for Pippa and James’ lifestyle in addition to Waity’s. They only make 150k a year off Party Pieces and they now have to keep up the facade by buying a bigger home and going on 6 vacations a year. It’s bad enough they almost went broke trying to keep it up for the last 9 years.
