These are some new photos of Kate Hudson, Matt Bellamy and Kate’s son Ryder in Malibu yesterday. Kate just gave birth to her son Bing Bellamy ten days ago, and we’re not used to seeing new celebrity moms out and about so quickly. Kate’s stomach hasn’t even gone down – but she still looks really great. This pregnancy was so different than Kate’s first. When she was pregnant with Ryder, she put on so much weight, and it went to her face. As you can see here, her face still looks thin, and she carried most of her weight in her mid-section. This is also, like, the fifth photo set of Kate and Matt post-birth. Kate really is a hippie mom, and she’s not vain about people seeing her just after she’s given birth.
What consistently surprises me about Matt Bellamy is how he seems so “into” Kate and her world. Kate goes from casual to super-serious in relationships in the blink of an eye, and most men run away screaming. Not Matt, though. He seems committed to her and committed to being part of her life, and being a great step-dad to Ryder. This Malibu outing was just Kate, Matt and Ryder building sandcastles, and Matt looks really into it. I’ll just say it: Bless skinny, pale British boys. I love them. They’re overwhelmingly sweet, aren’t they?
By the way, I can’t wait to see photos of little Bing Hawn Bellamy! I wonder if Kate is going to sell photos of the kid to one of the magazines? As far as explaining the name “Bing”, Bellamy wrote on Twitter, “For those wondering, Bingham is my mum’s maiden name and Bing Russell was Kurt’s dad. Family connections all round!” I still think it’s a super-cute, old-school name.

He does seem committed to Kate and I am glad that the baby’s name has sentimental meaning to them both. Side note: Kate looks so much like Goldie (especially in the second photo)!

This is wonderful….they are taking the time to do things alone with Ryder so that he will understand that having the new baby doesn’t mean that his mom & Matt won’t love him just the same as before. 🙂 I never liked KH before now, but she has just earned MAJOR points with this outing. Also love the fact that she doesn’t give a rip if she’s skinny again or not right now.

I think it’s great! I’m not really a fan of her but it is so nice to see a celeb out after a baby looking….normal. Like she had a baby 10 days ago. And I agree with SolitaryAngel – so nice to get out with Ryder, alone. And I love that name, Bing. Yes, very old-school. Very nice.
I have always thought that she was so adorable when pregnant and it is definitely refreshing to see her embracing every aspect of having a baby. Including taking her time getting back into shape after giving birth. And just enjoying it all.
Matt has a bit of a post- pregnancy belly happening too!

Aww, these photos are sweet and awesome…reminds me of me with my kids. After I had my kids, I would be up and cleaning and doing stuff,lol. I love doing stuff like that as well with my babies, it’s always fun. Keeping young at heart and embracing your inner child. 🙂 Kate looks beautiful! 😀

@Krissy, he’s probably sleeping. It’s smart for her to get out with her older son. It’s easy for older kids to feel left out, so she’s giving him some special time.
I’m not crazy about her as an actress but she seems like a very good mom.
Wow! This has really scored her some points. There’s usually some heavy bashing going on in Kate posts. I’ll give her SOME credit. However, she is pretty covered up (wearing a sweater on the beach while the boys sport t-shirts). Perhaps she is TRYING to win us over with this appearance after she saw all the love Pink got for doing it first.

I think these are the first authentic pictures I’ve seen in a long time.It doesn’t look like anyone is trying to prove anything, just living life and keeping it real.
Why does she still look pregnant? My tummy went back to normal in 2 days…slightly flabby with stretch marks of course, but indeed flat.

Its hard to be a second time Mom. You walk a fine line in making sure the older sibling is okay and part of the new babys life, while making sure the older child feels loved and important, while taking care of a new baby.
My boys are closer in age than her boys, but it is still hard. One of the things I did to help my son feel part of the new baby was putting a step ladder next to the changing table, and he would climb up and hand me a diaper when it was changing time.
He would stand there and look and hand me things. It was really sweet.
Once he got used to his little brother he would get mad at me if I didn’t give him his bottle quick enough.. ‘BABY HUNGRY!” he would say LOL

They are now 16 and 14 and are pretty close, and they have welcomed (for the most part LOL) a baby sister who is now 11.
Matt was committed to his last gf as well. Maybe when he is in love he is in love. I love his belly haha! They look adorable together.

Good for her that her stomach looks real. I have 4 kids and after each one my stomach went down less and less. I imagine Ruby7 only has one kid. Kate has two now, remember, body is different.
