These are some new photos of Jake Gyllenhaal and his miscellaneous male “friend/companion”. They’re walking their dogs, and it feels like the paparazzi invaded a romantic dog-walking stroll, right? I feel like Jake really wishes he could hold that guy’s hand. The urges, they are strong. Must. Stop. The Urges.
So… over the weekend, Jake Gyllenhaal was “spotted” with Rashida Jones, daughter of Quincy and ex-girlfriend of John Krasinski (right, they dated?). Many people (like Michael K) were suspicious of Jake’s public photo op with a girl, and figured that he was shopping for a new girlfriend, and that Rashida might be “the one (who wouldn’t ask a lot of questions)”.
Well, right M.O., wrong chica. Last night, Jake was “caught” getting friendly with Anna Kendrick – Pop Sugar has the exclusive photos here. Jake and Anna (best known for her part in the Twilight series and her Oscar-nominated turn in Up In The Air) are working together on End of Watch – that film where Jake plays a butch, bald cop, I think. According to Pop Sugar, Jake, Anna and some dudes went to Las Vegas and then stopped for sandwiches, where the lone paparazzo got some shots of Jake embracing Anna. Neither one of them can figure out what to do with their hands. It looks like Jake is thinking, “Deep breath, you only have to be this close to a vagina for another twenty seconds. One Mississippi, two Mississippi.” Anna had a boyfriend last year, but I have no idea if she’s still with that guy…? Anna is 26 years old, by the way. She looks 15, though. Why does Jake always go for the ones who look and act so young?

Is there any actual proof out there that he’s gay or are we just assuming it from some “vibe” people get? Kind of like everybody “just knew” that LeAnn Rimes’ ex-husband was gay until it turned out that he just got married again and then everybody pretended like they thought he was straight all along.

On the pictures with Anna he’s wearing a ring on his ring finger.
I feel bad for him, sometimes I wish people could get off his back, but most of the time I just hope he could come out and face himself. I actually don’t think it’ll damage his career if he comes out, I mean, he’s not an action hero like Cruise or Smith, he’s the sensitive beautiful man of Hollywood.

I don’t think he is gay… I really don’t! Just no vibe like that from him. To me, he likes a LOT of attention from the ladies, just like the rest of the Hollywood pretty boys.

Jake is a nice guy. If he’s with Rashida, good for them. If they are just friends, good for them. I thought Anna was still seeing Edgar Wright.
Those “exclusive photos” may be from his filming a scene for the movie he is currently working on with that actress. That blog is notoriously inaccurate.

What put the final nail in Jakey’s coffin was the “romance” with Unicorn Swifty…I mean those pictures of them on the cover of US Weekly proclaiming their “LOVE”? Ridiculous.

BlackMamba – Yea, he really miscalculated with Swifty! It was just too ridiculous to be believable! To go from dating a woman in her 30s with 2 kids, to dating a child who writes about unicorns and rainbows. Yeah…
He’s definitely on the lookout for a new beard. It’s sad. He should do what Neil Patrick Harris did, and be happy with his man! (Who’s bearding with the chick from OTH. Why, who knows?)
RobN – I’m still not convinced Dean is straight. I believe blind item that said a singer’s husband slept with a male household employee! He either has an arrangement with his new wife (where she knows and is okay with action on the side) or he hides it from her. I severely doubt Dean is a just a femme straight guy. IN the Popsugar pictures, Jake and Anna are in Los Vegas to film. The man with them is the director and Jake is wearing a wedding ring which is part of the movie. The camera man probably just got a shot of them in rehearsal. Besides Anna is WAAAYY too smart to be one of Jake’s beards. The girl is serious about stuff and doesn’t mess around. She also still has a boyfriend.
I think those pics are from Jake and Anna’s movie scenes taken in Vegas.

I hate that you and other gossip sites keep perpetuating this rumor that he’s gay. If he is, then fine, let him come out on his own time. If he’s not, then good god, can you imagine the irritation that this guy goes through on a daily basis? Because not only are people calling him gay, they’re being very mean about it.
The toothy tile blinds haven’t ruined his career. I bet most people outside of the online gossip reading world even known about the speculation on his sexuality.
Even if there weren’t gay rumors about him he would still not be a major/mainstream star. The media and his people have tried to push him to become a leading man (like all other young actors), but the public obviously doesn’t see him as much of a draw because most of the movies that he’s been a leading man in haven’t done spectacularly well at the box office (I’m not saying they have all been bombs).
He and his PR are just going to have to accept that he doesn’t have that “IT” factor that draws mainstream audiences. He should just stick to indie films and supporting roles.
He needs to come on out. And his friend walking around with the “raised eyebrows” like: What? Who? Looks like he had his hand in the cootie jar. If you study body language enough you can pick up mannerisms. As someone cant hide the real them constantly. And he is gay. And he just needs to come on out and live his life and be happy instead of in misery all the time.

I really can’t understand why so many women find him attractive. I’m not even trying to be mean; I really can’t. I look at his photos and I just don’t see it. Especially the face. Why did they give him the role of Prince Dastan anyway, he has no resemblance whatsoever…

Aww, I love Anna Kendrick! And agreeing with what some people have said above, the photos look as though the two could be filming a movie- or just buddies. His arm around her shoulder isn’t exactly the harbinger of romance.
