God, I just love everything Dita Von Teese wears. It’s not even that I think her clothes would look good on me. I just want her body, her face, her closet, I want to be able to put looks together like Dita. Even when she goes out of her way to match, it never comes across as too-matchy. These are new photos of Dita at a screening of God Save My Shoes, a “documentary is about the relationship between women and their shoes.” This is what Dita wore to the screening – perfect. I’m guessing the suit is Christian Dior – it’s giving me Dior vibes. The red is magnificent, the cut is gorgeous, and I love how she’s covered up and still so, so sexy.
As for the documentary – it looks interesting/funny. There are interviews with celebrity women and other high-profile women in all walks of life, and it’s all about women’s shoe obsessions. Here’s the trailer:
See, I think it’s interesting, but at a distance. I’m not a shoe person – I’m a purse person. If they made a documentary about purses and how there’s all of this pent-up sexual desire for the perfect purse… I would understand that. I just don’t get the shoe thing.

She certainly personifies class and perfection.
Gorgeous outfit! I’m not sure anyone else but Dita could pull this off.
She makes me proud to be a virgo. 🙂
I am becoming a shoe person– and sunglasses. I have a pile of sunglasses in many colors and styles, and also shoes… I dont do much else for myself because I dont wear makeup and raraely style my hair, so its the best I can do.
I will say I am a hairband and hair decoration person, and earrings– …I make up for the lack of makeup with lots of other eye catching stuff LOL
Yes its definitely spontaneous and urge driven… a lust after that beautiful thing… and to make it a part of yoruself I guess- then you posess its attraction…
Bold colors suit her very well but this ensemble really is too matchy matchy.
this IS too matchy-matchy.
She just like Megan fox
awesome, as always.
I love looking at pretty shoes. But I can’t convince myself to buy many pretty shoes (yet) because walking around in them all day would make me want to die.
And I don’t really like those shoes she’s wearing…but I don’t really like bows on anything. I wish she had worn flashier shoes to a movie screening about shoes…
Like. She looks best in things inspired by 1920s-1950s fashion.
She looks Fabulous.
Perfection-this is Dita styling. She’s unconventional and there isn’t anyone else who can pull it off.
OMG I would totally go see this movie! I am a shoe person, heels and stilettos kinda girl. I mostly wear alot of pencil skirts and plain blouses, so wearing a beautiful pair of heels is a ‘outlet’ for me. Most of them are Delicious and Micheal Antonio because I cant afford the super expensive stuff. I even have a couple of Bordello heels too and never fail to get a ton of compliments when I go out in them. For me, my heels will always fit and they give me an instant boost of confidence and height. I could care less about handbags, for day to day use I still use a med-pack style over-the-shoulder thing I found years ago. And Im the girl who will notice if another woman is dolled-up and took great care with her nails and hair only to wear a pair of scuffed-up flats. For reals?!
I love this woman so much…words cant describe.
I love that suit. I want it so bad! I don’t always like what she wears, sometimes its so weird, but there are definitely more hits than misses. Love that she sticks to her favorite era of fashion and totally owns it.
Seriously – she must spend 100% of her time shopping.
The color is awesome but I don’t really like the high neckline.
oh, bring back this look please! This is what needs to be sold at Target.
Shoe ENVY! I couldn’t carry this look, but Dita does it justice.
Lewis… are you Kaz/Slig? If so, stay on JJ.
She is always fabulous. Her “throwback Glam” style is perfect. I hate her lip shaped purse in this photo…it’s tacky. This needs a more elegant bag. Love her look!
Beautiful suit but the shoes cheapen it. Her act has gotten old. She must spend hours daily painting her face which i get because she isnt a looker but she could modernize her makeup a little. She can still be throwback glam without all the war paint.
She has such an odd shaped face. Very oblong and the white makeup accentuates it even more.
Red perfectly contrasts with Dita’s dark hair and pale skin, but even she can’t pull off red from head to toe. Red dress and red shoes never looks right. Black, taupe, or beige shoes would look better.
I think she looks awesome. She’s a very unconventional beauty…I LOVE her pearly white skin. I wish I’d stayed away from tanning so I could have avoided the sun damage you get as a result. I’m definately not as fair as she is, but there’s nothing wrong with being white.
She looks like a potato.
Yawn. Mashed potato face.
Too matchy-matchy, but gorgeous! Not sure about the skin though as it is starting to look fake or painted on.
Mrs. Potato Head.
or an American geisha.
I’ve appreciated Dita’s embracing of burlesque and the art of the tease…
And burlesque appreciates curves. Dita’s been known for her tiny waist. (I love corsets!)
But recent pics of her show a very full face. Have the pics I’ve seen been super-Photoshopped or has she gained some lbs or on prednisone (causes puffy moon face)?
The obvious color difference between her face and the rest of her skin seems careless.
And oh no, no, nooooo! I didnt notice it at first but is her lipliner uneven!? I can totally tell! And its not because of her half smile! Her lipliner IS uneven! Oh geez….
lovely, she can do no wrong… except for the lip bag
When I was getting ready to attend a wedding today, I found myself frustrated, trying to achieve “perfect” makeup: smudging mascara, muddying up eyeshadows and trying in vain to create a even red mouth. I thought of Dita, and how she probably effortlessly creates her signature look. I can’t even manage to get it all on perfectly, let alone maintain the perfectly made up face that Dita does. And she’ll be the first to tell you: she doesn’t employ makeup artists.
Why is she so deathly pale? Is something wrong with her?
only now i noticed the lip shape of her bag, and i love it! it’s like a little playful throwback to her hanging out with goths days, and i love everything about her here (as usual) except maybe the shoes, they’re a bit too classical for this outfit. the colour is not so much an issue but a little beige somewhere could solve the issue of eye-exhausting boldness of red.
