Matt Damon, his wife Luciana, and their two children were seen out at LAX airport on Friday. Damon was photographed comforting his crying daughter Isabella, two, while Luciana had their newborn Gia Zavala, two months, in a baby carrier. It’s usually stressful to go to the airport and hopefully Isabella isn’t scared by the photographers that are likely to have surrounded her family. She looks like she was crying when she got out of the car though.
Damon has often talked about the joys of fatherhood. He told OK! Magazine that being a dad inspired him to start his charity, the H2O Africa Foundation, which brings clean water to remote parts of Africa. He also spoke candidly about how being a dad opened him up and changed his life:
“I think certainly once you have kids it’s hard not to see your child in every other child that you meet. And when you see the way a lot of children live in the world it makes you very angry as a parent.”
So what does the two-time dad enjoy most about having kids? “Well that’s a tough question because there’s a lot to love about it,” he explained to OK!. “It’s probably the indescribable way that a new child opens up your heart. It sounds kinda corny but it’s true.”

You can tell that Damon is a great dad who gives it his all. Hopefully Isabella calmed down once they got on the plane. It’s a lot more comfortable in first or business class as they’re likely to have flown, but it’s not easy traveling with kids. I’ve been in similar situations with my son many times.
Damon is currently supporting Presidential candidate Barack Obama in his bid for the Presidency and was said to be going to Florida this weekend to help him campaign there. That is likely where his family was headed.

It can be really frightening for a little one to have to go through the security scanner by themselves.

Where’s the oldest daughter been? You almost never see them out with her (Luciana’s eldest daughter) anymore.
Love Matt Damon, he can (almost) do no wrong in my eyes. He appears to be a very sweet father as well.
oh wow, the kid is scared of the security scanner. i think it was kind of tactless for the paps to be taking pictures of an obviously distressed child. rude pap indeed! 😕
Airports are scary places, poor little thing.
What I don’t get is why paps are allowed inside airports? Outside, yes, but inside, and when people are actually going through security? Surely that’s not right?

How refreshing to see a two year old kid potty trained! No pull-up/diaper on her… amazing considering that most of my friends seem to think that 3 and 4 years old is just fine for their kids to still be in pull ups.
TC, seriously… Why do you care? Parenting is a tough enough job as it is. Let people do it the way it works for them and keep the snide comments to yourself.
TC, I dont know if you have kids every kid is different. Some maybe ready at that age, some may not but it’s not fair to clump the parents and label them negatively.
In the first pic, all I saw was the sandy hair, and I thought Bella was only taking after Matt- now that I see her face, I can see she has Lucy’s eyes.
I don’t know what Bella’s crying about, but Matt looks like he might punch a pap. 😛

Ya, I would guess it was the paps and the flash bulbs going off that scared her more than a security scanner. I don’t even want to see pictures of celeb children. They are all cute little versions of the celebs themselves, what’s to see? I say there should be a moratorium on children’s photos unless the parents release them.
I’ve often wondered how the hell paps are allowed to take photos inside the airport esp in the security line…
They live predominately in Florida… She is gorgeous.
