Heidi Klum managed to hide any worry about the state of Project Runway this past weekend as she shopped for flowers on Santa Monica Boulevard on Sunday. Heidi is one of the few women that could make opening a can of corn look pretty and interesting. She brought along her daughter Leni, and the two looked absolutely adorable together. Every article written about Heidi in the last few days mentions how worried she is about the show, but she sure manages to look pretty carefree.
Heidi Klum has shot the new season of her hit TV fashion contest Project Runway without knowing when or if the series will air. Network bosses at U.S. TV network Bravo have blocked plans for the sixth season of the programme to air elsewhere in 2009, and producers don’t want the show to air on Bravo.
Last month (Sep08), a New York judge has blocked the show’s move to America’s Lifetime network, claiming producers at The Weinstein Company violated Bravo bosses’ right of first refusal to future cycles of Project Runway when choosing to switch networks earlier this year (08).
Eva Longoria Parker and Lindsay Lohan have already shot guest spots on the new show, according to reports, but Klum has no idea when it will air.
She says, “We’ve shot the whole season already, we don’t know what will happen, so we’re kind of waiting to hear what the bigwigs have to say on what’s gonna happen with this battle. I just hope we air.”

Project Runway is one of the only reality shows I’ll ever watch. I always thought it looked dumb until I actually sat down and paid attention and realized how awesome it is. Heidi strikes me as someone who’s so successful, smart, and driven that even if the show does end up in legal limbo she’ll still come up with new projects that people will pay attention to.
Here’s Here’s Heidi and Leni shopping at The Empty Vase in West Hollywood yesterday. Images thanks to Bauer-Griffin, WENN, and Fame.
Heidi, growing flowers is far more rewarding than shopping for them. Less stressful too
I’m worried about PR too – this past season sucked hairy balls. I just kept thinking, “Way to go out with a whimper, PR.” 🙁
It’s not Heidi fault, and there’s probably little she can do. Except for wear the hell out of that amazing dress. 😛
Kaiser, I agree. That dress is stunning on her. Ahh….What I would give for such a bod!
I love Heidi because she is so real and not afraid to be goofy. She is amazingly down to earth for someone so beautiful and successful.
And somehow…..the stuff she says sounds better and funnier and cuter with her German accent. It’s kinda cool.
so, what if it doesn’t air?!
if they filmed EVERYTHING already, it means they have a winning designer, will she/he get the car and money if the show never airs? i’d say prolly not, i’d be mad as hell…
BRAVO effed up the season that just aired by not promoting it properly because it was the last season they had it. and then they decided to screw over heidi and the designers by not allowing them air the new eps. Way to go morons at BRAVO.
the Project Runway fans will now proceed to haunt you forever
I like Heidi, she is tough a spunky. Hang in there. This is just a minor set back.
Why is Bravo wanting sabatoge the move? They didn’t want the show any longer, eventhough it was one of their best. One show they should be axing is Real Housewives of Atlanta.
My only regret about being tv-free is not being able to watch PR. The two-minute internet clips just don’t cut it. Still, I don’t wish a dry PR season on anyone. I hope they air it, on the off chance I can sneak in an episode or three.
She needs to take up banzai tree sculpting, very meditative.
While the dress is pretty, I don’t think it does anything for her looks in it…
It seems pretty formless in the pictures, only 1 shows any hint of a waist on her, not that she has hips mind you…
But of course she looks good in anything… Or nothing…
