These are photos of Christina Hendricks from two nights ago, where she was one of the big celebrity “gets” for a dinner in honor of Maria Cristina Buccellati at the Chateau Marmont. It was basically an event in honor of jewelry, because Buccellati is an Italian jeweler who is set to open up yet another American boutique – you can read more about the event here. What I’m interested in is the fashion. I have to admit it… I like this ensemble on Christina. I’m not sure if I would like it on another woman. Tight leather skirt, and a black cardigan sweater with some kind of appliqué? It seems like something you would wear to your company’s Christmas party, not a jewelry show. And yet… it’s refreshingly beautiful and simple on Christina. Okay, so I would totally wear this outfit. The skirt is awesome, and the cardigan is cute. I love it all. Especially how much her hair has improved.
In other Christina news, she also participated in one of the weirdest pictorials I’ve ever seen, in the new issue of Harper’s Bazaar (the one with Beyonce on the cover). Bazaar got celebrities (really random celebrities) to “recreate” iconic images from Martin Scorsese’s films. You can see the whole online slideshow here – the celebrities include Kate Bosworth (ha), Sir Ben Kingsley (seriously?), Emily Blunt (what?) and others. Christina posed with Jack Huston in this Gangs of New York-themed photo. Here it is…bizarre.
But everybody is talking about this weird one with Keanu Reeves and Chloe Moretz, channeling Robert DeNiro and Jodie Foster in Taxi Driver. It’s… off. Not the right vibe.

I like her on the show the few times I have seen Mad Men, but no she is not the leather type and that outfit looks dated. Not sure if that was the intent.
Oh my.. that Keanu and Chloe pictures looks perverted to me. I loved this girl in Kick Ass and since then I just don’t like the direction she is going. She is 14 and has this underaged sex vibe that she gives off. I don’t like it. I have seen her posing for pictures and it scares me. She has such talent but gosh I see the next generation Lohan.
Makes me just shake my head.

Despite the leather, this combination doesn’t look refreshing, but matronly and old fashioned on her body type. Skirt lenght, cardigan sweater size / color / decoration…meh

Nothing wrong with her figure, but she does not have a good eye for flattering silhouettes. Too tight in the wrong places, shiny, and not defined enough at the waist. Another miss.

Out of all the pics, I thought she was the one that most filled the bill. Everyone else kind of felt random.*shrugs shoulders*.

She’s so gorgeous in Mad Men/60s drag, but every single red carpet shot I see, her face is weird. Her real life make up is usually too harsh, and she often has this weirded puckered look on her face. I don’t get it.

I only said that because people come on sites like these all the time and comment how someone looks sick when people think he or she (usually she) may be too thin and say things like “she should eat a sandwich” or “wow, that’s unhealthy.” I just don’t understand why people can be touchy about one extreme, not the other. Hendricks is gorgeous, everyone knows that.
They made Keanu look like a serial killer.
She’s gorgeous, and I adore her voluptuous figure. To use a trite phrase, she’s a breath of fresh air in a society that insists women should look bony & hip-less.
Liz@ I agree with your statement people on these site have no problem trash talking thin people but get all defensive if someone says anything negative about a person who fuller. My niece is 14 and thin always has been just like her mother myself and my mother, and great grandmother, eat all we want but don’t put on weight. I hope she never comes to these types of sites because the comment from poster alone about thin people or that she not a “REAL WOMAN” because she doesn’t have hips are enough to give her self esteem issues for a life time.

I think it kind of makes her look fat. I don’t really like the style. I don’t think she’s really that pretty, just has a huge rack. But I like that she embraces the body that she has.
makes her look fat indeed, this was designed for somebody with a slimmer figure, and it’s a casual kind of outfit, meaning you could wear it to café or something but it hardly looks like chateau marmont material to me. i would be ashamed of having dressed like that next to everyone in gorgeous outfits. of course she won’t lose the extra weight, because the boobs are her meal ticket, but she lies to point blank and claims they are her natural assets. we’ve already seen your playboy pics with the small boobs, when you were at an average weight! anyway and she is too pale, not good pale like dita either, and the black makes her look like a bed sheet. sowwy

She’s a beautiful and sexy women but honestly she has no style or sense of dressing for her body type. Gosh with curves like that she should be the best dress in Hollyweird.
I think she looks fine. The outfit does look better without the cardagan, but maybe it was a bit nippy out that evening. And speaking of nippy, I’m just glad to see that she can cover up her chest!! Usually they are the only things that you can focus on!! Is she married? I heard she was a few years ago, but I never see her husband with her. Keanu is starting to look his age. He seems very slim now. That pic of him and her seems a bit strange/staged/wooden. lol
