Two nights ago, Stacy Keibler and George Clooney walked their first red carpet together, arm-in-arm, at the New York Film Festival premiere of The Descendants. Most people thought that there was something awkward about Clooney and Keibler’s body language, but people also thought that it was a good sign for Keibler that she was getting the official girlfriend-rollout. I even noted that it looked like Clooney bought Stacy some hair and makeup people, because her styling is improving (although there’s still a ways to go).
Anyway, the New York papers have some interesting information about what went on beyond the red carpet for Keibler and Clooney. According to Gatcrasher, Clooney didn’t even both showing up at Stacy’s 32nd birthday dinner on Saturday night. Stacy went to dinner with her parents at Catch, while Clooney was God knows where. Now, before you start screaming “They have a contract! That’s why he didn’t show up!” – I should point out that it seems like Clooney celebrated Stacy’s birthday with her one week ago, when he took Stacy and her friends to Cabo. So maybe Clooney didn’t feel like doing the dinner-with-parents thing. Especially because they have a contract? And because Page Six points out that Clooney was at another dinner that night. Here’s more weirdness that is Clooney & Keibler:
George Clooney sneaked out of the official after-party for his much-buzzed-about “The Descendants” for a romantic Manhattan dinner date with girlfriend Stacy Keibler. The superstar joined castmates Shailene Woodley, Matthew Lillard and Beau Bridges for a celebration at Time Warner Center’s Stone Rose Lounge on Sunday night after the Alexander Payne-directed movie closed the New York Film Festival.
While charming guests, Clooney kept a close eye on his phone while waiting for stunning blonde Stacy, who had earlier walked with him on the red carpet, to arrive. He was seen hugging her before they headed for dinner.
A spy told us, “George was so eager to find Stacy that he rushed right past her in the crowd on his way out of the party. Once outside, he started texting her again and sent one of his bodyguards to look for her. George then couldn’t fight a smile as he saw her, in her long black dress, walking out towards him.”
Even though it was midnight, the pair then headed downstairs to Landmarc for dinner, with a few other close friends.
Clooney has been juggling celebrations for his two Oscar hopefuls, “The Descendants” and “The Ides of March,” with former wrestler and model Keibler’s 32nd birthday.
On Saturday, while Keibler dined with her parents at Catch, “The Bourne Legacy” director Tony Gilroy hosted a dinner at ‘21’ for Clooney, with guests including Oliver Stone, Jeremy Renner, Julianna Margulies, Joan Collins and Olivia Wilde.
Clooney was driven right through the Occupy Wall Street protests in Times Square to get to the event, and the usually unflappable actor exclaimed, “I just drove through 500 cops!” Later Payne shocked the room when he began speaking Greek with two well-heeled guests.
A rep for Clooney, who jetted to Paris last night for today’s premiere of “Ides,” was not available for comment.

So, Clooney was at another event and Stacy decided to just go to dinner with her folks and have a quiet night. No biggie. What are your thoughts on the whole “he started texting her again and sent one of his bodyguards to look for her” bit, though? They need to get organized. When she’s his date at these industry events, she needs to stay closer to him instead of trying to talk about famine with Bono. She just doesn’t realize that her job is to cling to Clooney! I wrote that half-jokingly, but it’s kind of true. At the end of the day, I’m still buying that Stacy and George are a “real” couple, I just think that they aren’t in sync with each other – yet. They’ve only been going out a few months.

When you say “Girlfriend roll out” I picture George’s assistants carrying Stacy to the front of the red carpet rolled up in a throw rug. When the paps are ready, George gives the rug a kick and out rolls his latest piece who jumps to her feet with that “I’m it” smile.

George has always reminded me of Cary Grant. He even looks like Cary. And everyone knows the “rumors” of Cary back in the day. The only difference is Cary married his arm pieces. I guess it shows how far we’ve come when George is under no obligation to marry his.

George DOES have a great PR team…these women disappear as quick as they appear- magic! I saw the trailer for Descendants- it looks bad & predictable- like a so-so Lifetime flick. Stacey is a nice PR distraction from the poor box office (& mixed reviews) of Ides and will be able to do the same when this movie comes out.
I am not on the George is gay train, but he has been compared to Cary Grant many times. He gives Brad Pitt sweeter looks than he gives this woman. He just seems happier with his pose, which is fine, that is how he rolls.
He is probably doing everything with her behind closed doors, but in public, it seems forced. Maybe deep down he is insecure and needs women who don’t seem to challenge him and they make sure he is the star in the couple.
His ego could not handle a strong, independent woman which is why he ends up with the women he does.

Not only everyone is quickly forgetting about the Italian chick. We are also forgetting that only few months ago he met her parents, relatives and friends visiting their own places in Sardinia. I mean, he had to plan and organize that visit on purpose, since it’s a small village in an Italian Island, no direct flights.
Maybe that’s the reason why he doesn’t feel the need to meet other parents and relatives.

It was an embarrassing moment for Keibler, for sure!

Yes he went to her birthday weekend last weekend, but if this was her birthday he could have taken her to this great dinner party and introduced her to some interesting people and had dinner with the parents another night. I think he is not comfortable bringing a pin up girl wrestler to an A-list Hollywood dinner party. I think the whole relationship is on his terms. When Stacy gets some self-esteem she should move on. I have never seen his appeal and to me his relationship with these women borders on disrespectful.
It was rude of him to say he was having sex with Stacey Keibler tonight. I believe a man should always be respectful, I don’t care how hot he supposedly is. Nothing is sexier than a man who knows how to be discreet and respectful with the ladies.
He seems to be under the mistaken impression that he has this dry, witty, irreverent sense of humour that we are all supposed to find sexy, but I find it boring and irritating.

let’s face it. what he is saying when he “dates” these types of women whom he treats badly is that he has contempt for women. that any fan fantasizing about being with him can expect the same. he chooses the low-lifers because everyone thinks they deserve what they get. but no one deserves to be objectified and mistreated. if he were really a gentleman he would know this and date someone with whom he could have an equal relationship. but that would require him being with only one woman and he (apparently) can’t stand the thought of that. that is the real reason why he will never marry again imo.

I have been thinking about this relationship as soon as her name was attached to his. There was the breakup with Canalis and then there was Italian PM Silvio Brulisconi saying that Clooney attending one of his parties and THAAAAT is when this shit kicked off. He wants both of these films to be awards season bait and he needs to not have his name associated with neither one of them between now and February. My other theory is that one of his man toys has proof that he likes the dong and has threatened to release it so he needed someone fast and who will not ask alot of questions.

Canalis did not look low maintenance to me, and Larson and Keibler (who are cut from the same cloth) look like they are doing everything they can to get some attention. Why would he want to hire these women who are trying to muscle into the spotlight?
If he was paying someone I think it would be a gorgeous unknown who would happily stand in the background. Then he could create his own story about her that would REALLY sell. Like, “Here is my girlfriend Ann. She is a nurse at an elder care facility and deworms orphans in Africa on her vacation.” Instead of, “Here is my girlfriend Stacy. I don’t see him wanting to compete with his coupled counterparts, especially if both people in the couple are of comparable fame and power. Like someone has already said, I think that George doesn’t want a woman with enough power to humiliate him when he, inevitably, decides to ditch them. Because the current HW environment allows for the woman to pi$$ and moan about ‘her’ pain – in fact, I think that they prefer a seemingly public exhibition of her alleged private pain, versus a public exhibition of her professional talents.

George is incredibly immature (like a 14 year old inexperienced boy) when it comes to dating women (which speaks volumes about him, especially at age 50), and he is well known for insulting his dates with childish humor because he is clueless to know better, but I seriously doubt he actually said to the press “I’m having sex with Stacy later on”. George is crass, but he would not say anything revealing about his personal life. Unless you can provide the link, we can assume you made this up, especially since no one else has seen the link or video.
Stacy is just one in a long line of girls George parades on the red carpet. Another one who dresses like a hooker and whose roots are so dark no one is going to think she is a natural blonde anytime soon. Stacy’s not a tranny, and she really is 32. My sister and I grew up with her.
She is just really tall, and she works out a lot. She is actually very pretty in person and has always turned heads wherever she went.
Her style of dress and hair is common in Maryland. Especially the Baltimore, Dundalk & Glen Burnie area. Our favorite outfit back then was skintight jeans with white Reebok Classics, our bangs sprayed stiff with Salon Selectives.
She hasn’t quite gotten the classy red-carpet look down yet. But that’s really not who she is anyway. Why should she have to change for Hollywood? (keep your B-more flavor, Stacy. Girls might hate on you, but guys think it’s hot)
Everyone says she looks dumb, but she isn’t. She was honors in HS and went to Towson University. She’s no rocket scientist, but she was focused on academics and doesn’t seem dumb at all.
I doubt she will be the one he settles down for, but every relationship isn’t meant to be long term. I wish them the best and hope they have fun while it lasts.

Up until the Kleiber Catastrophe I was the number one George Clooney’s fan. Always used to “praise” him to all my friends and family. I used to find him classy and he was kind of a male model for me! But now I am officially over this tasteless disgusting guy!
I am not spending a dime on his next movies or whatever project he is involved in.
I sincerely hope we won’t be nominated for anything, I don’t think I will be able to bear that Giant piece by his side. I’d rather see him walking red carpets with Sarah Larson or Krista Allen than that classless girl.

If he’s actually straight then I think he’s bummed out that he can’t date Evan Rachel Wood because she’s way too young and it would be bad for his image – but that’s who he REALLY wants. That is, if he’s even interested in women. 32 yrs old is as young as he can go without alienating his fan base, and even then she looks like his daughter.
