Where did Amber Heard come from? Why haven’t we been paying attention to her before now? I mean, some of us (me) paid attention when she officially came out of the closet, but why haven’t we ever really talked about how pretty she is and how she has amazing style? This girl can DRESS. So, these are two new looks from Amber, still on the promotional trail for The Rum Diary, otherwise known as “the cure for the career debacle that was The Playboy Club”. Amber and Johnny Depp were in Paris for a photo call and premiere. Amber wore the floral Reem Acra for the photo call, and the navy Stella McCartney for the premiere. I love both, but the Stella dress especially – great cut. Look at the way it hugs Amber’s crazy body:
It looks great from the back too – I’m actually not crazy about fully-exposed backs. This is the perfect amount of skin on an otherwise sexily conservative dress.
By the way, I don’t even want to talk about Johnny Depp. You know I’ve rarely, if ever, get hot for him, so I’m happy to welcome so many of his newly-disgruntled former fans in my corner. I am happy to see that he’s de-bloated some, though. And I did like him The Tourist, damn it. Hopefully, The Rum Diary will die a quick death and Johnny will go away for a bit and realize that he’s not invincible, and that he can’t just say whatever buttheaded thing comes to mind.

The flower dress is a bit too floral for me but the simple blue dress on her is stunning. Few people can pull off that simple look and ooze sex appeal. I wish she would dye her hair to a darker blond. The peroxide blond is washing her out but she still looks really pretty.
The floral is a bit “busy” but a real eye catcher. She looks so much softer and fem with her hair down.
I am so tired of nude colored Louboutins. They are not attractive shoes, otherwise she is perfection.
This starlet is not only sexy, she has that cute and beautiful and sophiticated (a la Sharon stone) quality too.
She is extremely feminine. I like her style and I like that kind of so rare display of feminity …without the skanky look many have right now.
DAMN, that blue dress is amazing. It’s sexy without being “in-your-face” revealing, the color looks INCREDIBLE on her, the hair and makeup are perfect….
I wanna be this girl….(and I usually reserve that kind of envy for brunettes that are in the same “genre” as me, so the envy at least seems attainable 🙂 )

That first dress is vomitous. But the navy dress is beautiful and sexy on her. She is a really gorgeous woman. Her skin is absolutely perfect.

Amber’s got a great career ahead of her, but she’s got to lose that pose (5th picture) because it looks arrogant. Gossip fans had to tolerate the insufferable ScarJo arrogance, so it being reinvented isn’t a good thing.

Johnny’s arms are really short. He looks almost dwarfish. He also strikes me as a man who spends too much time in the mirror, working his little chains and scarves, and obsessing about his “look”.
She knows this is her shot, and she has been working that shizz to death! She wants to move up, so I don’t blame her.
I love, love, love her makeup in the navy blue dress. If I could do that I would wear that face of makeup everyday. It’s sexy still subtle and lovely.
I have to say that the first time i saw her here i thought she looked boring and a bit cheap; but those last few dresses just made me want to see more. So, my bad; maybe she is promising.

She looks totally different with her hair down and I think it is not an improvement – this woman is beautiful and having her hair up – draws attention to her beautiful eyes – with it down, it draws attention to a somewhat long face.

Since he’s gone off to Doucheland, and is therefore dead to me, I am noticing just what a terrible dresser he is! That jacket with the hat and those scarves? ties? snot rags? hanging off him…. what was I thinking?

she’s really stunning. i’ve seen her for the first time a couple of years ago in the horror flick “all the boys love mandy lane” (not bad at all), and she was so beautiful in it. and as for her girlfriend (very talented photographer), they make one the most gorgeous celebrity couples today.

The floral Reem Acra is hideous!!! No, no, no…just…no. The blue dress is very lovely, fitting and has a good cut. Very interested in seeing more of Amber though. I’ve liked her since her appearance in Pineapple Express.

I do wish she’d darken the blonde color. It really sucks on her. A honey brown would differentiate her from the pack of indenticals that have infested H’weird.
And Johnny? Take a BATH and buy some CLOTHING. I am not one for being ‘proper’ but he looks so insultingly vulgar next to poor Amber, who is trying so hard to get noticed.
BTW, she is apparently a nice young lady raised Catholic who has really swung out there in so many ways: she’s an atheist, an out Lesbian, and just about the most articulate young actress I’ve ever heard. Not even Emma Stone or whatsername (the adorable English actress playing Daisy in Baz’s new Gatsby production-can’t remember names right now!) come anywhere close to Amber’s ability to make a point & put a coherent sentence together. I kinda like my wild women with a working mouth!

Hopefully Rum Diaries is good cuz I’ve seen Amber in a few other movies/TV shows where her roles were embarrassingly awful. Like unwatchable. Her saving grace was that she’s easy on the eyes. I don’t see her as having great style, however. Donning a pretty dress is easy enough. Style is putting things together in a way that is individualistic, interesting and intriguing. That’s quite different. (I fear Hollywood stylists and RC critics are collectively killing those instincts) She may have style, who knows, I just haven’t seen it yet.

The navy blue dress is a bit ‘meh’ for me. I think the same dress in a nude tone with some really, sparkly pizzazz like detractor earrings would have been prettier and more flattering.
I’m all for the sophisticated and yesteryear sweep of a gown that covers both legs and boobs, but this time I just feel it needed a boost of an accessory of some description.

Anyway, I’m becoming a fan of hers. Regarding the dresses here: the first one is pretty but if I stare at it too long I’ll get a headache. The navy blue one is really pretty — I agree with whoever said above that she should stop doing the “arrogant face” pose seen in that fifth picture.

It’s not that SHE knows how to dress, more like her high-priced stylist. These days starlets are trying to use the red carpet for fame. She’s been vamping it up on the red carpet and she’s filling Scarlett Johansson’s role. Remember Johansson didn’t get attention as a sex symbol until she started impersonating Marilyn Monroe on every red carpet. She’s got a glam team fit for an A-list star when she isn’t one.
Also why is no one pointing out that the older Johnny Depp gets, the younger his female costars get? No wonder actresses who aren’t in their 20s have trouble landing roles.
