I can barely believe my eyes. Ben Affleck, looking like he enjoys being with his wife and oldest daughter? Ben Affleck being openly affectionate and lovey-dovey with his wife IN PUBLIC? Ben Affleck not being surly when the paparazzi are around? Who are you, Ben Affleck?!? I thought I knew you!
So these are new photos of Ben, Jen and Violet in LA yesterday. Jennifer is ??? God knows how many months pregnant. This pregnancy seems to be much more low-key than her two previous pregnancies – there are still lots of photos of Jennifer and the girls, but she’s taken it down a notch and they’re not getting photographed on a daily basis at this point. This isn’t even the first time (during this pregnancy) where Ben Affleck seems to be enjoying some face-time with his family, although this New Affleck (Affleck 2.0: The Loving Father & Husband Version) has never, in my memory, been so cutesy with his wife. Yes, he’ll hold her hand, but it usually comes with a scowl. I kind of like this new Ben. I wish I could see them like this more often. Usually, whenever the paparazzi are shooting Ben and his family, Ben almost always looks like he wants to curl up and die.
So why does Ben seem so affectionate? Is it just because his lovely wife is preggo and Ben is just trying to be a better dude? Is it because Ben might finally be getting his longed-for son? Jennifer is reportedly pregnant with a son this time, so maybe Ben is just excited about all of the ball games and boy things he’ll be sharing with his son. Or is there another, sketchier reason? Remember how Ben’s name was mentioned often in all of those reports about those high-stakes, underground poker games in Hollywood? Tobey Maguire just settled in one of lawsuits stemming from the games. But I’m sure that’s nothing. It’s just a coincidence!

I have to admit I was wrong about this family. I am glad to be wrong. I still kind of think Ben’s a rat but it seems Jen has got him under control for the moment.

The truth is she could avoid them if she wanted to. That is why I really can’t like her. The paps always find her in the most random places.

I think it’s easier for paps to find her than some of the others. They live & hang in Santa Monica, which isn’t really big. It’s also easy find JG at the kids’ pre-schools and the farmers’ marketsd. Just like following Reese jogging or to church.
I think one reason JG dresses way down around her ‘hood is to make it a little harder for paps to spot her in a crowd than if she was always styled, buffed, & wearing free designer clothes. Blend, blend, blend.

I find them boring but I still kind of root for them because everyone is so negative about them. And they have cute kids. But yeah, she is photographed a lot.
There’s plenty of affectionate Ben and Jen photos and videos of them On YouTube. The paps as time has gone on irritate Ben, though. His children are involved now. I don’t blame him. My husband would look irritated too. and Jen handles it with grace.
He is watching the JLO fiasco and thanking his lucky stars for Jen.
The thing is though Jen can easily avoid the paps, but she does not because she loves the attention.
Why else does she go to the most pap filled places in LA? She could find pap free places if she wanted to.
And Ben is almost always MIA in her daily parade, he just shows up once in a while to pose.
Do you even know the area they live in? They try to lead a normal life, go to the local grocery store, dry cleaners, school run, soccer, doctor/dentist, dance classes etc. They do the same things we do on a daily basis but we do it without the hassle of paparazzi.
How come when Reese Witherspoon is papped running errands with her kids, lunching, shopping, going to the gym or church in the same area her pics are not photo opportunities?
I just think he is very much the family man, absolutely loves his girls. Maybe he reverts back to his old ways now and again.
Also, he hates the paps, who apparently camp outside their house regularly. He’s probably affectionate with Jen often, Violet doesn’t look startled by the PDA, so it must go on all the time.

They are photographed on a daily basis; just check Just Jared and Popsugar….and I mean daily. There is nothing low profile about her pregnancy. She will take a take off to have the kid and then she will be out and about the next day.
look I live in the area. Paps wait outside both Jen Garner and Reese Witherspoon’s house for them to leave and follow them everywhere. Every day. There is Nothing these women can do about this short of never leaving the house or moving.
Remember when you used to see pics of the eldest girl being picked up from her school and now you no longer do? Well the other parents were super pissed that their kIds were being subjected to the paparazzi horde everyday. Jen and Ben could do nothing and the parents and school while sympathetic to the situation wanted Violet out of the school. Because it was such a scene every day.
Free press, stalker laws didnt apply – so Jen made a deal with the devil. The Paps back the F off from the school and Jen will “play along ” in public places.
It’s not a perfect solution but that’s it. And that’s why she’s not dressing up for these shots and wears jeans and sneakers. Do you think she’s going to put effort into these shots when she felt forced into doing this deal? She doesn’t give a shit what people say about how she dresses or the “dimple parade”; she does care about her kids being able to go to school and not be homeschooled.
Didn’t know it was like that. They have my sympathy.
Regis Navarre (X17online.com’s boss) said in a french talk show 2/3 years ago that Jennifer Garner didn’t avoid the paps(he showed a video where you see Violet did a tantrum in the street and to calm her,Jennifer pointed her out the paps who followed them and immediately Violet did a big smile) and that Hugh Jackman was friendly with the paps

Ever since she got pregnant with their first child and forced him to marry her when she was 8-9 months pregnant, he looks horrible.
No one should be that miserable and no one should chain another person by using children.
No one “is in love” with someone because his career is going well.
or because that someone is pregnant.
Either you are in love or you are not. That guy never wanted to marry her. No person can love a person that pull such tricks on him and forces them unto such life-time commitment.
You can try to make peace with that, but not to actually love a person who conned you.
No one “forced” him to marry her when she was barely pregnant. If anything he had been trying to get married, period – to any Jennifer, for awhile at that point. I’m all for the catty comments, but to say he was “forced” into marrying her, or that this baby is “forcing” him to stay is just ridiculous. They are both “choosing” to stay, whatever their reasons.

Even bad marriages have their “ups.” No matter what, I just can’t get past thinking Jen Garner will put up with anything to keep her Martha Stewart life the way she wants it. She would never leave Ben – he would have to leave, and he won’t be doing that, because his white-picket-fence family is better for his career. I’m not saying that’s a conscious decision – more like living with the status quo because it’s easier. Plus, I believe he very much loves his kids and the “idea” of being a family man. Beyond all that, I get tired of the constant J. Lo and J. Garner comparisons. I mean, it’s not J Lo’s fault that Ben loved her at one time – and I think he really did. Simple facts – J. Lo is a diva; she’s a Latina. No big deal. J Garner may appear to be lower-key, but I see it as fake, dimple-girl, Martha Stewart wanna be. J. Lo doesn’t make apologies for who she is, and why should she. It’s just the way she is. I just don’t get this whole thing people do where they have to insult J. Lo all the time – as if she has anything to do with Jen #2. Weird.
I agree that I hope they are happy and wish them nothing but good vibes…it bums me out too when people make a big deal about “finally getting a boy” because it sounds like their other children weren’t enough.
