First off, please don’t yell at me and call me a racist for putting two attractive “women of color” in one “separate but equal” post. I only wanted to put Sofia Vergara and Freida Pinto together because they were wearing similar colors (this beautiful blue-green-teal). I swear! I promise! But seriously, how gorgeous are these two women of color? As a woman of similar coloring, I could only dream of looking this beautiful.
Sofia was one of my picks for Best Dressed at the Golden Globes. Her dress is Vera Wang, an ID that I didn’t expect. Usually, I tend to dislike Wang’s red carpet gowns, but this is absolutely stunning. It’s a gorgeous color on Sofia, it fits her like a dream, and she manages to look sophisticated and sexy without having the girls in our faces, you know? My only (small) complaint was that Sofia’s hair should be different. I don’t like it down and poker-straight with this beautiful dress. Also: how funny was Sofia’s speech when Modern Family won best comedy? She was so cute! I like her even more when she speaks in her native tongue.
As for Freida, she went for this strapless Prada in a similar hue as Sofia. This is one of those rare dresses that looks different (and better) in still photos than it does in motion (and I suspect, in person). When E! News got in close on the fabric of the dress, it looked really cheap. But from a distance, the effect is gorgeous. Plus, that face! God, she’s beautiful. Oh, and that necklace was amazing too! I find it hard to wear yellow gold with similar coloring to Freida, so I found it enchanting that she made it work.

Sofia Vergara is pure pleasure. A pleasure to look at, a pleasure to listen to, and a pleasure to laugh with.
I loved that she said her toned arms were thanks to her trainer, and the rest of her body was thanks to cake.
Boy, she is one gorgeous lady, isn’t she? And she has a great laugh! That’s why it kills me that she’s paired with such an old man in “Modern Family.” There is no way on God’s green Earth that someone as gorgeous and funny as she would be saddled with a crabby ooooold man, IMHO.
That being said, both look great in the color, but Sofia wears it better because I just don’t like the cut of the top of Freida’s gown. It’s straight across and not a good cut. If that were different, then it’d be impossible to choose.
Both looked absolutely gorgeous! I can’t decide who wore teal better. Sofia, hands down, was my favorite of the night, until I saw Frida’s dress and couldn’t decide! I WISH I had Sofia’s amazing body, and Frida’s classic face.
must admit, I don’t think Sophia’s dress does much for her. It is a beautiful colour but the styling of the dress and her hair is not quite right.
Freida’s is a lovely colour, but it looks like she is pregnant. Maybe she is. Is she?
I thought the same thing: pregnant or just a really weird place for a waist band. Not flattering.

They both look gorgeous, I LOVE the deep color on both of them. Much more flattering to the dark hair and skin.
I prefer the long flowing dress of Freida Pinto. The mermaid style does nothing for me, but the way the fabric is wrapped is just stunning.

Out of the two, I would say Sofia. But she always chooses the same kind of dress. I wish she would change it up once in awhile.

I think Frieda is really beautiful as well, but that dress….the fabric looks really thick and the overall effect makes he look kind of….fat….which is weird, bc you know she isn’t. She’s worn a few weird things on the rc – I wonder why some designer doesn’t trick her out better?
Frieda’s dress was one of the biggest let downs of the night. Not feeling the fit – looks like a certain mid nineties style that I don’t like.

Sofia’s dress looks like many of Vera Wangs bridal gowns..which even in a teal color make it look “bridal” to me.
Absolutely LOVE the color of the dresses (although, like normades said, I would call it more a peacock blue.) but while Freida Pinto IS gorgeous…
is she pregnant or is it just the unfortunate shape of the dress? She’s an itty bitty little thing – but the stiff way the dress stands out from her body, especially in the side shots make it look like she 4 or 5 months pregnant.
Both looked amazing. Did not see Frieda in motion since I was not able to watch the globes, but on these photo’s both she and the dress look absolutely gorgeous!

But funny you would comment about Freida’s neckless. Currently living near her native country I find gold, especially the very yellow kind, looks so much better on brown and black skin tones. I am extremely white and feel that I look as though I have jaundice when wearing gold. Rather unflattering. Non-white skin tones look much better rocking gold in my opinion.
They are both gorgeous. I wish FP had worn something more sleek since she has the body for it. I think SV wears form fitting dress because she worried about looking fat if she wears something with lots of fabric. The colour looks gorgeous on her but I feel like she’s done this look a million time just with different colours
Sofia was the queen of the night, she owns her sexiness and flaunts it without being smug and superior.
I liked both dresses, and they both looked pretty, but Sofia’s dress was my favorite. Great color on her, and the fit is perfection for her figure.
Um, is that a real question?! Sofia, of course! She looked amazing. And that personality of hers just puts her amazingness over the edge.
But I loved Frieda’s necklace! On camera (tv) it sparkled and was so beautiful.

What was going on between Sophia Vergara and Julie Bowens? I only caught part of it. Was Julie acting weird or was it some schtick?
She’s always an annoying fame whore. She comes across as really stupid – all she ever talks about is how much she loves herself, with that horrible voice. She needs to take speech lessons, stop shouting and stop being so conceited. It’s a very unattractive trait. There are a lot of other women in Hollywood who are truly beautiful and don’t have voices that grate.

I clicked on this expecting to say Frieda, no matter what, because I think she’s one of the most gorgeous young actresses out there right now. (I think Sophia’s pretty too, bot Frieda is one of my favorites)
But on the dress…I gotta say Sophia. Sophia’s dress is pretty typical for her. But I like that she goes with what works! She’s one of the few curvy women in Hollywood that consistently dresses her body well. (Yes, I’m looking at you, Christina Hendricks). Frieda’s dress is unflattering and weird. The color is nice, but the cut doesn’t do her justice.
Hands down Sofia looks way better, just stunning!

I give it to Pinto, because I am hating “mermaid dreses” at the moment. Especially when someone seems to always be wearing one. Both are pretty ladies, though. Pinto’s necklace was gorgeous.
Both were stunning, just in different ways. Sofia, va va voom. And it’s the best she’s ever looked on the red carpet. Perfect choice of hair, dress, jewels.
Pinto, very elegant in an easy way, not too try-hardy. And her face is just classically beautiful, so the style dress matched her.

Anyway, Sofia looked good but I want her to do something different. They both wore my fav color but I honestly feel Fri took my breath away.
