These are some photos of Beyonce and Blue Ivy’s return to NYC. The family Carter was in St. Bart’s for the Easter holiday (and then some). I’m also including some shots from their holiday too. By the way, did you hear that Beyonce wrote an open letter to First Lady Michelle Obama? I think it was an open letter – or did Beyonce just send this to FLOTUS and then put a copy of the letter on her website? Yes, Beyonce posted the hand-written note to Mrs. Obama on her site – you can see the note here. Beyonce is really sweet – she writes:
“Michelle is the ultimate example of a truly strong African American woman. She is a caring mother, she’s a loving wife, while at the same time, she is the First Lady!!!! No matter the pressure, and the stress of being under the microscope — she’s humble, loving, and sincere. She builds and nurtures her family, while also looking out for so many millions in so many ways. Michelle, thank you so much for every single thing that u do for us — I am proud to have my daughter grow up in a world where she has people like you, to look up to.”

I only have only one complaint. If you’re writing anything to the First Lady, take the time to spell out “you”. Every time. It’s just more professional and respectful, which I think is due to anyone in Mrs. Obama’s position, regardless of Beyonce’s personal friendship with this particular First Lady.
In other Beyonce news, In Touch Weekly claims that Bey’s personal trainer is still living with her and that Bey is working out non-stop to lose the baby weight:
Beyonce loves playing mom to Blue Ivy, but she’s ready to rock and she’ll do anything to have her pre-baby body back! In fact, the singer is so serious about getting in shape for her three Memorial Day weekend concerts in New Jersey, she’s moved her trainer into the NYC apartment she shares with Jay-Z.
Beyonce’s fitness guru, Marco Borges, believes “consistency is key,” explains a source, so the singer is religiously sticking to a combo of cardo and resistance training.
“When Beyonce’s not caring for Blue, she’s exercising,” another insider tells In Touch. “She wants to look amazing for her performances and refuses to settle for anything less.”
But Beyonce has another secret workout weapon in her arsenal besides her live-in trainer: “Jay-Z has been hitting the gym with her and staying healthy too,” says the source. “They’re both looking great!”
[From In Touch Weekly, print edition]
They do look great. I think it’s interesting that it only seems like Beyonce’s body changed AFTER she gave birth and not before – like, no part of her body looked bigger while she was pregnant except for that pillow-y looking bump, but now that she’s postpartum, all of a sudden her body looks fuller. But we’ve had this fight a million times, so let’s not get into it again. I’m more interested in her trainer’s idea of “consistency is key.” All of the personal trainers I’ve known have always encouraged mixing up your workouts and not doing the same thing over and over. Does Beyonce’s trainer have it wrong?

I dont think the trainer ment do the same routine consistently I think he means work out in general consistently. thats what my gym guy says. you have to consistantly work out but you can change it up. it helps make your exercise a habit if you do it on a regular basis.
The top picture cracks me up. Photographing her bodyguard from this angle makes Beyoncé look like a dwarf.
haha, right! i thought i clicked on a story about nicole richie at first.
I agree with Beyonce. Michelle is a great role model for girls.
u? u??? Good Lord, Beyonce. You’re an adult, writing to the First Lady.
I agree with Lol, he’s talking about exercising consistently, not doing the same thing over and over.
kazoo, I thought it was Nicole Richie too!
Michelle Obama was on the Colbert Report this week, I am so impressed by her. She’s promoting Joining Forces, the program she and Jill Biden started to help support military families.
Where is the hair that is supposed to be on Jay’s legs???
I think they mean that consistency, as in working out every day, is key.
I think you mean someone else wrote the letter to Obama and just put Beyonce’s name on it.
Her body did change its just that she was sooo skinny when she got pregnant that when she gained weight she looked normal and she carries extra weight well the letter is bleh to me nothing special and I think he means maintaining the diet and exercise not doing the same thing over and over
Am I the only one who thinks it strange to display a letter you wrote to someone? What is even funnier is that is it “news”……….
Ditto…if it is actually posted on her website, it seems to be a cry for the FLOTUS to help her confirm her baby. I am in the camp that she did carry and birth it, but there was some trickery involved that is creating all of this backlash. I would think posting something a bit more formal and in depth about the FLOTUS as upliftment and encouragement to all her followers. Seems a bit desperate in that it seems it should have remained private. Using the FLOTUS as a woman of inspiration takes a bit more crafting than that. How did she deliver it, I wonder? Is that a photocopy…I’m still referring to the letter not the baby or whatever you all are calling it.
Am I the only one who finds the casual address ‘Michelle’ to be disrespectful? Agreed, Beyonce and the First Lady have a personal friendship however, if this is an ‘open letter’ posted on the web for everyone to read, it should be taken into consideration the rest of us do not share this same friendship with Mrs. Obama. She should have addressed the First Lady as such, and Beyonce’s arrogance overshadowed the thoughtfulness behind the letter. #notsuprised
I completely agree. Especially when you’re supposed to call her mother Miss Tina at all times and get chastised when you don’t. So Beyonce’s mother is to be addressed with respect more so than the First Lady of the United States? Not in my world, or anyone else’s world that has a lick of sense. I just hope Mrs. Obama actually told that silly girl to call her Michelle instead of Beyonce being her usual disrespectful, dimwitted self and assuming familiarity when it’s extremely inappropriate. She needs to grow up. Furthermore, the next time she wants to pen a “personal” letter to someone she “admires” and broadcast said “heartfelt” letter publicly for all the world to see, try to at the very least use correct grammar. #fail
She wasn’t pregnant people, it was ALL FAKE!
Beyonce seems like such a simpleton. My 12 year old cousin could’ve crafted a better letter in less than 5 minutes. Of course, I haven’t had any coffee yet, so I may just be extra surly this morning. But I can’t believe she posted that letter on her site. Nice sentiment. But I’m reminded that a lot of these gals have limited education.
Lw you’re not surly; everyone (but bouncy) knows she is an uneducated, illiterate robotized dimwit; who really believes she wrote that letter, and yes addressing the First Lady as Michelle shows narcissistic temerity. And then revealing the letter is famewhoring by other means;
Funny thing the First Lady has much better musical taste; last month they had a jazz show at the White House our public station aired parts – that featured real musicians – Jeff Beck, Gary Clark, Gregg Allman, Mick jagger, etc. – the President even sang – HOW could this have gotten no pub,
But someone ghost writes a letter for this corporate hack and it’s newsworthy.
THe Obama’s and all politicos need to stay away from junky narcissistic pop stars – it does nothing for their credibility or election chances – I’m being non partisan in this.
Excellent comment.
Dear, Beyonce, can you please go away for a while? take some time to grow as a mother, a woman. It just might help you add some depth to your character. I know you want us to think that you’re invincible and you can do it all, but we are all humans and everyone needs and deserves a break. we won’t forget you…honest…we won’t.
Is it me, or did Beyonce change? i feel like she’s becoming more and more like other famewhoring celebrities, and that’s a shame.
