Julianna Margulies in icy Narciso Rodriguez: beautiful or (still) Botoxy?

These are photos of Julianna Margulies, fashion designer Narciso Rodriguez (the shorter guy) and JM’s husband (the taller guy) at last night’s El Museo Del Barrio gala. Narciso was being honored, and his girl Julianna was the one who got to present him with “the award for artistic achievement to honor his career and longtime patronage to El Museo del Barrio.” Considering lots of ladies love Narciso (Claire Danes, Sharon Stone, FLOTUS), I think Julianna was a good choice to represent Narciso’s friendships within the industry.

As for Julianna… doesn’t she looks great here? CB and I were just discussing The Good Wife and how… weird/different her face sometimes looks on that show. Don’t get me wrong – I like JM a great deal, as a person and on the show. But over the past year especially, she’s been looking rather puffy and Botoxy. She looks deflated here – in a good way. CB says she’s definitely lost some weight, but I think it’s just JM’s face that looks so much better. Plus, great makeup, good hair and a flattering, pretty dress.

Re: The Good Wife. Is anyone else obsessed with the show? What did you make of the “cliffhanger”? Weirdest non-cliffhanger ever as far as some of the major characters, although I do need to see what happens with Kalinda and her ex-husband (current husband?). Who do you think her ex will be? I mean, what actor will they get? I hope they get someone really big and sketchy – it’s always fun to see Kalinda take down a big guy (with a baseball bat!).

    meh…

She looks fantastic – not botoxy at all. Her husband is super cute too – kind of a Rob Lowe vibe.

I usually think clingy bias cut silk is a dangerous choice for most, but I love her dress as well. NR is a great designer – one I wish I could afford!

  3. Maritza says:

She and her husband make a really cute couple. I don’t think she looks botoxy at all because you can clearly see her face lines on her forehead and her smile lines as well, as they should be.

  4. TheOriginalVictoria says:

Her hubby reminds me of Matt Bomer with those creepy ass eyes. LOL.

I’m a fan of the Good Wife. People have been saying season three is not that good, I disagree. If anything Eli and Kalinda are keeping this show on POINT. Archie, I love you!

Her face looks really good. She does look weird at times on GW.

Anyway, she’ll always be Nurse Carol to me.

It’s a good season but IMHO Alicia has become annoying lately. Breaking up with Will just because her daughter gone for few hours, wth ?
And supporting her husband, being “the good wife” again ? Ugh

Kalinda,Eli and Diane are definitely more interesting.
      I’ll keep watching,just for them

Botoxy? Where? I am sure she does do Botox but it’s wearing off or done very very lightly as I see wrinkles — everywhere – her forehead, eyes, lips, folds and she still looks great!

And she looks great also without a tan. Love it.

  6. Lindy says:

I think I’d dig the dress more if it were in a bright blue, or shimmery bottle-green. It’s too faded, I think.

  7. vic says:

More beautiful now than ER days. Great style.

  8. serena says:

She has so much wrinkles, even at her age it’s strange isn’t it?

    • helvetica says:

      She’s almost 46, so i think that’s normal.

Plus lighting and HD camera can enhance appearance of wrinkles

    • jc126 says:

Did you know she used to lie about her age? She used to claim she was born in 1971, then after she had her son, all of a sudden she was born in 1967 lol.

I call her Blank Face, for her range or lack thereof on that show. I was an involuntary viewer of that show until my boyfriend decided he was totally bored with it.

she has a hot husband ill give her that(:

  10. I love Julianna Margulies, and I, too, am totally obsessed with “The Good Wife.” Absolutely the best newer show on television in years, in my opinion. And what a cliffhanger! Yes, it was different, but that is one of the many things that makes the show superior to most.

Oh, the original question? I think JM looks amazing, doesn’t seem botox-ed at all. If she is, it certainly is not making her look weird. Again just my opinion.

Thanks for writing this piece – I love seeing and reading about her.

I actually really like the dress. There is something “Old Hollywood” about it. I know “old Hollywood” has been used to death, but if she had a white fur coat (hideous things) she could be teleported back in time.

  12. MST says:

She looks nice, but her a$$ appears to be non-existent.

  13. atorontogal says:

I love the dress. Reminds me so much of something Rita Hayworth would wear. I adore old Hollywood circa 30’s/40’s. However I am not a fan of Julianna’s. Never liked here in ER or anything else for that matter.

  14. corny says:

    frozen, fugly hot mess

  15. Navy Blue says:

Why are people so obsessed with who has work done? That’s like asking if someone is wearing designer clothes. It’s Hollywood. I’m with Michelle Pfeiffer. Do what makes you feel and look good, just still look like yourself. Julianna looks great here. Who cares if she had botox. Everyone has it.

  16. Lila says:

I’ve never thought she looked Botoxed. You can always see lines on her face. I think the shifting look of her face has to do with the shifting bangs on the awful wig she wears on The Good Wife. Speaking of, I too love it but I couldn’t care less about the Kalinda cliffhanger. I’m more concerned about whether or not Alicia is going back to Peter.

This dress is gorgeous and surprisingling flattering considering the color and cut. She looks great. I also love her friendship with Narciso Rodriguez. It seems like most designers’ friends ‘age out’ and they get attached to a new young star. Narciso and Julianna have stayed loyal.

  17. Bek says:

    Julianna looks good here.

As for ‘The Good Wife’, I love that show and I thought the third season was good. The last episode would have been good as a normal episode, but it was very disappointing as the season finale. It could have been so much better.

  18. Ally says:

I really like The Good Wife. The most adult-audience-oriented show on television besides Mad Men.

What’s frustrating is that they show Alicia as a very complex character full of contradictions, e.g.

    – this season she realized that she was the ‘other woman’ in Will’s relationship with the reporter
    – she likes to think she has a great relationship with her kids, but she’s always shutting down conversations with them
    – she’s all holier-than-thou with Peter, all independent woman, but every time there’s a major crisis, she calls him be the muscle and save the day
    – she has a bit of a drinking problem what with the glass of wine the second she walks through the door of her home

…but then the producers/writers chicken out and everyone keeps treating her like she’s Mother Theresa. Every single defendant loves her and trusts her immediately. All of Chicago apparently thinks she’s a sainted innocent… it’s tedious. You’ve painted an interesting character, stop backing away from it!

Btw, I adore Martha Plimpton and Carrie Preston (Elsbeth Tascioni) on that show. Freakin’ marvellous.
