Reese Witherspoon, 32, was seen out with her children Ava, 9, and Deacon, 5, at a skating rink in Santa Monica yesterday. Reese is usually frosty with the paparazzi when she’s out with her family, but she seemed to be in a good mood. She has good reason to be – her film Four Christmases with Vince Vaughn was at the top of the US box office for the second weekend in a row. It has grossed $69.4 million according to Box Office Mojo. These are also exclusive photos from the agency, Fame, which means that there was just one photographer trailing Reese and her kids and she wasn’t mobbed.

This week’s Star Magazine claims that Reese has turned down three marriage proposals from her boyfriend Jake Gyllenhaal. They claim he proposed with a diamond ring on her birthday on March 22, again in July and a third time in October in London. Reese keeps saying “no,” according to the unreliable magazine.

The couple is also rumored to be having trouble because Reese plans to spend Christmas with her ex, Ryan Phillippe and their children instead of including Jake, according to the recent National Enquirer. They say “[Jake is] still trying to convince [Reese] to change her mind and spend at least part of Christmas with him, sources say, but at this point their relationship is faltering.”

We’ll have to see if those two stand the test of time, but they’ve been together for about a year and a half. If these reports are to be believed, they’re having a common problem that one partner wants to move forward with the relationship and the other is resisting. Jake wants marriage and a family and Reese isn’t ready to jump into another legal commitment. She told Parade Magazine “Family is all we have in life, but I don’t know how I feel about marriage. Obviously, I’m not far enough out of being married to think about doing it again.”
