People: Prince William to choose his wife & baby over his RAF career

Even though we know that Prince William is totally going to quit the RAF at some point this year (probably right around the birth of his child), we still have to play along while William’s press office dithers around. God, I wish I worked in William and Kate’s press office. I know I wouldn’t last very long there, and I would probably be fired for yanking on Kate’s weave, but seriously – I could do a much better job with their press and I wouldn’t be afraid of speaking truth to power. I think William sees himself as some kind of media genius who can successfully manipulate the press to his every whim. But what is increasingly coming across is that William is a nit-picking narcissist who expects special treatment for everything. Just take this week’s People Magazine cover story:

Prince William may not let his six-months-pregnant wife, Kate, win at ping-pong – “Ahem, I think that was 6-2,” he teased after beating her in an impromptu match at a Scotland youth center April 4 – but he is getting ready to make bigger concessions to his family-in-the-making.

A source close to William tells PEOPLE the prince will soon announce he’s leaving the RAF Valley – a search-and-rescue helicopter unit based in Anglesey, Wales. His work there kept him away from Kate, and the cozy farmhouse they shared with dog Lupo, for as many as 10 24-hour shifts each month.

William has said he loves his work with the RAF, but he loves his wife and baby-to-be even more.

“He’s ready for the next step,” says the source. The couple’s baby joy has brought them even closer, say those who know them. “They’ve always been close but it’s been much more pronounced since she has become pregnant,” says royals author Judy Wade.

[From People Magazine]

I feel like William is trying to maximize his goodwill by playing his RAF exit as a choice for “modern parenting” – like he’s choosing his baby over his career. When really he had exhausted the RAF with his vacations and royal duties and he and Kate found every excuse they could to be away from Wales, and there are many questions as to whether William even fulfilled his most basic RAF duties.

So, how would I do this if I was working in their press office? First, I would stop drawing this out. William should have announced his intentions MONTHS ago. He should have been the one announcing it too, by making a speech in which he spoke about his military service, about veterans and his role as the future head of state. He should be framing his RAF service as part of his larger education for his future role as king, because the impression William has left to many people is that the RAF was a part-time gig he did to avoid working as a full-time royal, that the RAF was just what he did because everything else was so awful.

Meanwhile, The Mail has a lengthy story on how William will become the new patron to The Duke of Edinburgh’s favorite charity, Fields of Trust. You can read about it here – it’s basically a trust to protect the national playing fields. Prince Phillip has always been keen on athletics and getting kids to play games and such. William will be taking over as president of the trust at the end of the year when Phillip retires. And don’t think I’m leaving out Kate! She will become “godmother” to a new cruise ship, the Royal Princess, on June 13. The Mail says that it will probably be her last public appearance before her “maternity leave” begins. HAHAHA. You know her maternity leave is going to last a long time, right?

    I still like them

    • truthful says:

      me too!

      • Kcarp says:

Me Too…Can’t help it. Maybe because they talk like they are in Harry Potter? Kidding kinda.

      • Lucy says:

Haha the accents definitely have something to do with it!

      • Red Snapper says:

You guys are reminding me of the episode of Frasier when Daphne’s brother, who has a very strong Cockney accent (think Eliza Dolittle, My Fair Lady). Roz *swoons* over the brother exclaiming “He talks like a prince!!”.

By the way if you listen to Kate speaking, (engagement interview, two speeches) she talks with a very noticeably fake posh accent. Seriously. I’m of British descent, I *know* accents, and hers is painfully, awfully, cringingly FAKE.

      • Mich says:

        @ Red Snapper

Lol! A few weeks back I was talking to someone who used to know the Middletons very well. The kids were all quite friendly well into their 20s. She says she howls with laughter whenever she hears Kate speak because that is so not her normal voice.

I cringe when I hear her speak. Not because she sounds awful but because she is obviously trying so hard to get her new accent right.

      • Faye says:

@Red Snapper – My husband is British, and he says the same thing, that her voice is so obviously fake. Based on my experience, the British are so funny with their accents — they attach so much importance to them and can tell so much just after hearing someone speak for a minute or two. Not that we don’t have regional accents in America, but it’s not nearly as significant.

      • LAK says:

@Faye – The opening song ‘why can’t the English learn to speak’in MY FAIR LADY summaries our attitudes to accents as you have described.

And BTW, Audrey Hepburn has a really bad cockney accent, which i think is what she was aiming for. Not as bad as Dick Van Dyke in MARY POPPINS, but very close. Her accent is better once she’s been made over.

Eh, what are the royals good for if not setting a PR example, heh. It’s the right spin, and there’s at least some truth to it.

  3. Prince William kind of seems like a prick, like Father like son.

    • Chicagogurl says:

I dont disagree that Charles can be icy but the mans policies and environmental initiatives are/were ground-breaking, even more so given his stature. I read his book a fews years ago and was stunned at how well thought out he is regarding strategies for recycling, greening, policies, hunting/fishing and generally making the planet a cleaner place. He can be a dick all he wants, but it probably would have done England a world of good to have him as king a decade ago.

      • apsutter says:

Agreed. He is very well read and knows his stuff. He’s very forward thinking on environmental issues and thinking of England’s future.

  4. acp says:

Many people believe the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are lazy b/c they never work. BUT I wondered if maybe some in “The Firm” want them to stay at their current activity level b/c Prince William won’t even be King for many years. Like, Prince Charles and his wife will step into his role as King one day. Could he have a hand in this? I like a good conspiracy. But I know people who are unemployed for months at a time who have great financial means and it drives them CRAZY. No one wants to be idle if they can help it… Plus I think Celebitchy had a post a while ago that said Kate was ready to work but that it was up to William… Or maybe they ARE just lazy?

    • m says:

Its highly likely that William will be king by 45, and as it stands, he is the least prepared future monarch ever. Why would the palace want to set him up for failure?

      • Merritt says:

Why do you think it is highly likely William will be King in 14 years?

Are you expecting Charles to die or to abdicate upon getting the throne?

      • Apples says:

I don’t know… The current Queen looked incredibly baby-faced in her coronation photos.

    • LAK says:

You know Charles and his siblings don’t have to work. Charles especially could have remained at home talking to his plants for the past 60yrs since that’s how long he has waited for the top job.

Instead, he has created a role for himself that gives meaning to his title and to his life. And that is uniquely his and can’t be passed on. William will have to figure out what he wants out of his life and make it work for himself.

William has had 8yrs, since he graduated from University to figure out his life whilst he had the freedom to do so.

You are advocating for William to sit at home doing nothing since he has a long wait to the top job ie he may as well continue waiting untill he is King [if we still have the monarchy when it is his turn]. If Charles is as longlived as his mother, that’s a good 30yrs minimum of sitting at home doing nothing except indulge himself at tax payer expense.

    • Faye says:

Does anyone really believe these two want to do work, but are being held back by anything except their own laziness and lack of ambition? I’m not trying to attack your post, BTW, just others who make excuse after excuse for them. William actually has a job, which he chooses to neglect for endless vacations, hunting trips, and jaunts with friends. As for Kate, she had 9 years of no royal obligations and the chance to do anything she wanted, since she had no financial worries – and she chose to do nothing.

Even if they’re being held back on official royal duties, they could be doing more with their charities. Instead, they holiday, shop, and party. That says it all to me.

  5. brin says:

Well, they are royalty, I like them more than most celebs.

    • Erinn says:

Yeah. Even at their most offensive, they really are more tolerable than a lot of celebs that we talk about.

    • springingforward says:

I like them, too. More power to William and Kate, if he becomes more of a family man than previous royals.

    • My2Pence says:

@ Brin. That is part of the basic problem. They aren’t meant to be celebrities, and when they become nothing more than celebrities, the point of their position is gone. They are meant to be working hard, doing their best to be representatives for a nation on the global stage, and becoming respected and beloved by the people.

Even many people who hate the idea monarchy publicly state their affection for the Queen. She is the “nation’s granny” but many state, once she is gone, the monarchy needs to end. Charles, Camilla, William, Kate, and Henry MUST become hard-working, adored and respected royals – not celebrities.

      • Dena says:

Although I like Prince Charles, I think he will be tolerated . . .just tolerated, that is . . . as the leading monarch. His reign will be pivotal in terms of the stability of the monarchy. I don’t think it will be dissolved if the people don’t take to him, but it will be shaky going forward simply because the people and their relationship to the monarchy has changed. Modernism/modern times, in part, brought that about IMO. As a result, William & Kate don’t have the luxury of sitting back and riding the stay-at-home parent coat-tail. They need to be out and visible–hustling for their jobs much like street people are out and about everyday on street corners begging for loose change and cigarettes. William and Kate are simply too high to try to dodge work. Eyes will always be watching them. They can’t fly under the radar like Sophie and Edward. W & K need to be perceived as working royals.

And why does William need to “quit his job” in order to be a stay at home dad? For that matter, why don’t all the men who are in the armed services quit their jobs to be with their wives and newborn babies. Hell, they work harder and longer and are put in more dangerous situations. They need the break. Not him.

Finally, I don’t know how many of you have ever watched the television show Martin, starring Martin Lawrence. For those of you who have, you might remember the character Tommy. Tommy always claimed to have a job or various job, but no one had ever seen him working or knew of his co-workers. Martin & Company would listen in a long-suffering type of manner to Tommy talk about “his job.” However, when the soliloquy was over, Martin et al. would say, “Tommy, you ain’t got no job!” So, I said that to say this: Everytime I read about William and “his job” that he works whenever he wants to work it, I always want to scream “William, you ain’t got no job!”

      • bluhare says:

I think Charles could surprise us. He’s had a long time to prepare, and I think he has some strong ideas about what he wants to do. While he does come across as a bit pedantic, and he is a spoilt royal (having his shoelaces ironed???), I think his heart is in the right place.

    • Spooks says:

I just don’t get this. Their ancestors were a little luckier than mine hundreds of years ago. Their biggest achievement is being born. Royalty should not exist in the 21st century.
Most of the celebrities here at least DO something to earn their money.

  6. EllaM says:

William simply loses his job, because the S&R part of the RAF is sold to an US company. The RAF has no money to buy new helicopters so they’ve outsourced the S&R operations to Bristow Group for 10 years. Some of the RAF personnel will continue to work for Bristow, but William won’t, because he was always against privatizing the S&R branch.

I don’t think this story comes from Williams media people, it’s simply made up by People…

    • L says:

      This.

Plus his unit is disbanding this summer anyways, so he couldn’t stay in Wales even if he wanted to. He’s not making this decision-it’s being made for him.

      • Mich says:

True. But the fact that it is going private also allows him to save face. The RAF told him last year to fish or cut bait. Either take the job seriously and put in the hours or quit.

      • EllaM says:

Some commenters below wrote, that his contract ended anyway so I don’t know if the RAF wanted to get rid of him, maybe he just wanted to end this chapter. Afaik Charles was only trained as a pilot but never “worked” in the job. Harry was in Afghanistan and William actually saved some people as a rescue pilot. Not too shabby for some royals.

      • Mich says:

        @EllaM

In 2011, William lobbied Parliament hard to not go forward with the privatization. I think he really loved this job – but as a kind of hobby instead of real ‘work’ like the rest of his outfit.

My understanding is that between frequent vacations and various other commitments, others had to pick up the slack. Sometimes on very short notice.

So it is just as well that this chapter has come to an end.

  7. The Original Mia says:

Do they mean he’s going to become a full time royal? Because I’m not really sure what that People suck-up piece is about.

Poor William. He’s on a rotation that has him away from his family for 10-24 hours. Yeah, that’s called working. Nurses, doctors, soldiers, everyday people do that all the dang time.

    • Belle says:

Worse, the article says ‘as many as’ 10 24-hour shifts each month. So, it could be 2 shifts a month… or 5, or whatever. It seems he is required to fly/work a certain number of hours to maintain his license, but from past comments it also seems like he does the bare minimum. So, if he has ‘as many as’ 10 shifts per month… the minimum is obviously less.

I don’t pay close enough attention, but I’m thinking he has rarely (if ever?) done ten shifts a month… and the mention of that number is a generous one. You are right, the article (People) is a major suck up piece.

    • EmmaStoneWannabe says:

Yeah I know! A 10-day/month shift is a luxury compared to the real world! Most people I know who work away from home like that work 50% of the time, not 33% of the time…for example, 14/14 or 30/30.. 30 days on, 30 days off… How nice it must be for William that the MAX he had to work during any given month was 10 days!!!

      • Belle says:

Very true. I have to admit though, even if he did the 10 24-hour shifts a month, if that was what the job required, I wouldn’t have a problem with it. What bugs me is I think the reality is that he does far less, and this is just an attempt to make William seem like a hard-working, average guy who is making the difficult decision to put his family before his work. What is the point? We know he is not hard-working… or average, right? We also knew this ‘decision’ was coming and he would have made it even if Kate weren’t pregnant.

      • LAK says:

Given we know he barely scrapped through his minimum requirements, he is definitely working less than that.

  8. Manchurian Global says:

“Prince William to choose his wife & baby over his RAF career”

Translation: “Prince William is lazy and finally found a barely legitimate excuse to end his RAF career.”

    • Mia 4S says:

Amen. Plus gee it must be nice to have a wealthy income available to you and the CHOICE to stop?! What am I supposed to do…applaud? Weep at the brave nobility? Blech.

  9. Tiffany says:

Roger Ebert dies and does not land the cover. Blastmamy I tell you.

  10. LadyMTL says:

Maternity leave…*snort*. Don’t you actually have to be working to take maternity leave?

After she has the baby I predict maybe 3 months where we don’t see her and then bam! Back to the shops.

  11. bluhare says:

Well, this explains the constipated look on his face the last few outings. He was forced out either by the RAF or granny.

  12. littlemissnaughty says:

Do they think we’re completely stupid? He’s not choosing his kid over his career, he’s not exactly the model of a working parents who has to make an incredibly difficult decision. That baby was always going to be the start of them being full-time Royals, no? What the hell?
Ugh, I can deal with blatantly obvious PR most of the time but these people are complete amateurs. Gawd.

    • LAK says:

His previous deadlines were; age 25, then marriage, then age 30, now baby. Each of the previous deadlines wasn’t honoured so i don’t think the baby one will be.

      • littlemissnaughty says:

But the age 25 thing was never going to be realized unless he was going to get married by then. And the age 30/marriage deadlines were super close together and by then, they had probably realized they needed some more good PR, so the newlyweds were trying to be “just like us”. A working husband, a stay-at-home wife and to make them look good, a few engagements here and there. Only that backfired because they were vacationing like the end was near.

They will probably milk this baby thing for all it’s worth and in order to do that, he needs to quit. But I could be wrong and it’s like you said. I have a feeling that whatever they do, they won’t be working hard for a while.

      • LAK says:

All senior royals can take up full time duties when they are of legal age.

The deadlines he was given were compromises taking into consideration what was going on with his life.

The initial deadline at 25yrs was so he could finish university and perhaps a little taste of the military.

When that deadline was looming, he signed up for another military contract, so they moved the deadline to 30yrs old or marriage which ever came first. Since William had always said he didn’t want to marry before his 30th birthday, i think that was a good compromise.

The good PR image which you’ve detailed is a distraction from the fact that he hasn’t taken up his duties despite being given plenty of time to do so. ditto the baby.

ps:- Charles was given a deadline [sort of] which he had to stick to. No extensions or compromises. He was several years away from being 30yrs old when he took up royal duties and he was unmarried.

      • bluhare says:

That poor child is going to be hauled out as an excuse for everything for the next few years.

  13. Baskingshark says:

Going to work once every 3 months to be photographed does not constitute a “career”.

Also, in that top pic Grinny McSocialClimber is looking very pleased with herself; perhaps because William looks even older than she does.

  14. HoustonGrl says:

Strange how some people have zero ambition.

  15. Murphy says:

I know the cruise ship is Royal Princess and not Princess Royal but I still think Anne should be its godmother. Or at least another REAL princess like Beatrice or Eugenie.

  16. Reece says:

First of all, Roger Ebert should’ve gotten that cover! Really People?!?

Just because he won’t be in Wales doesn’t mean he won’t try to go somewhere else…I’ll believe it when I see it.
Maternity leave??? *snorts, side eyes Palace PR*

  17. Red Snapper says:

Does anyone know about his schedule recently? It seems like he hasn’t worked since the Mustique holiday in Feb. Then there was the skiing/wedding holiday in March. And they took another “break” in Scotland before the engagements with Prince Charles. Three holidays in three months. That mat leave can’t come quick enough, eh?

    • bluhare says:

Seriously? He hasn’t worked in 3 months and Kate’s been in London? Wonder why that is?

  18. Erinn says:

    A bit of perspective:

My grandfather was in the RCAF. He came from a family without much money. He would go down to the docks and get fish from the fisherman to feed his family. This was as a child. 10 years old. One time he made a dime doing some odd job. He went and spent that money on candy for his friends. He got ripped out by his father for spending his money that way, and quite frankly that was the last time my grandfather splurged on anything.

He enrolled in the air force, and has worked up in the Arctic, Lebanon, Japan, Germany, Ireland etc etc. The man worked his way up to the rank of Major. He could have been a Colonel if he had put in a bit more time.

Work was his life. My grandmother essentially raised their three children on her own because my grandfather worked for hours and hours, and the kids grew up not seeing him often. He worked away his life. He provided us a very comfortable life, but he missed out on so many things in his families lives.

I was pulling around 60 hour weeks for a while not long before he passed away. He kept telling me that I worked too much. He constantly worried that I was putting in too many hours. My grandfather was not the kind of many who openly discussed feelings, and the fact that he spent his life working, and then was concerned that I was doing the same thing tells me a lot. I think he regretted the hours he spent away from his family. And I can’t blame Will for wanting to be around his.

    • My2Pence says:

@ Erinn. That was a lovely story about a lovely man. A man who had to work hard to support his family and lived to regret it. He was from a different generation and may have been telling you, gently, that he thought the woman’s place was home with the kids and your partner should be the one working hard outside the home.

1 in 4 people in the UK cannot pay their heating bills. Enormous and growing unemployment rate. Homelessness is rampant and William and Kate are moving into a 21 room, 4 storey home paid for by the taxpayers they refuse to serve. William and Kate Middleton have to “work” – and work hard – to keep the Monarchy from being thrown over by the growing Republican cause.

You think the people of the UK are supposed to stand up and applaud that a privileged man is quitting a job he barely works? Where he skips off on vacation all the time so his hard-working co-workers cannot have time with their families because William has run off on vacation again?

And we should think, “Oh, lovely William is going to spend 24 hours a day with his baby. Isn’t that wonderful? [insert delighted squeal]”? Odds are, he will spend less than 1 hour a day with their kids, whether he is working as a royal or not.

And you liken this lazy, duty-shy manchild to your loving grandfather?

      • bluhare says:

Tuppence: Totally agree with you. On every point.

Erinn, you had a wonderful grandfather.

        And William’s a d*ck.

    • LAK says:

That is a lovely bittersweet story.

Unfortunately, you are trying to empathise with someone who by choice doesn’t spend time with his family. Not because he has no choices due to money/distance issues, but because he wants to.

He has been given MORE freedom that any heir, including his father to do what he wants before taking royal duties and he has done nothing with that time. He is now being forced to pick up the royal baton and is whining and whinging all the way rather than bowing out with grace and dignity.

    • bluhare says:

That is a lovely story about your grandfather, Erinn. The world needs more people like him.

But I agree with LAK re William.

    • Suze says:

What a lovely tribute to your grandfather. He sounds like a wonderful man. You were lucky to have him in your life.

William, though, is an entirely different story. Although I think he’s happy becoming a father, I don’t for one minute believe that he’ll significantly alter his life to accommodate family life.

  19. Sachi says:

Maybe this is why he has been looking so boorish and annoyed lately.

No more excuses to hide out from your royal duties, William!

But of course, the Palace PR would make it look like he willingly left his job because he is so devoted to Kate, raising his child, and his role as future King. LOL.

What a joke he has become.

And I find it incredible that some people actually see it fit to praise him for doing this. This is something he should have done a long time ago.

Rescuing people as a SAR pilot was his job. It was what was expected of him. The taxpayers’ money was used to pay for his training. It was just right that he put it to good use, not to mention he has abused his privileges and position to do whatever he wanted in the RAF and he has faced no punishments for his shenanigans.

Add to that his whining and “woe is me” antics: that his life is apparently so hard because he has to choose between being a royal and a RAF pilot, that he is feeling stifled from the expectations (but not the perks, right?!). He’s so full of sh*t.

He shouldn’t get so much compliments for once again just doing what is expected of him re: leaving the RAF. It was something that he was sure to do anyway except he has delayed it over and over because he didn’t want to assume more royal duties and responsibilities.

    • bluhare says:

Sachi said: >> He’s so full of sh*t.
      <<

Belle, there's your answer. He really is constipated!

    • Mrs.Krabapple says:

“The taxpayers’ money was used to pay for his training.”

Because he thought it would be fun to fly a helicopter. And why should he pay for private lessons when he can get the taxpayers to pay for it? Plus, he can have his picture taken wearing a uniform and pretend he has a real job. All while having fun.

Good thing he doesn’t think it would be fun to be an astronaut. Imagine how much THAT would have cost the taxpayers.

  20. Mrs.Krabapple says:

It’s so sad that William always has to choose, with too many commitments to fulfill. Like when he had to choose between attending the Paralympics and his RAF duties, he reluctantly had to miss the Paralympics.

But then, he had to choose between the RAF duties that he gave up the Paralympics for, and his vacation in France. And so he was forced to give up his RAF duties to accommodate his vacation in France.

Poor guy. In the end, he had to give up BOTH the Paralympics and his RAF duties, because of his vacation in France. Why doesn’t the public just give him a break? If he wasn’t forced to go on vacation in France, he might have had time to do something else. Really, we should all feel sorry for him.

  21. Angelic 20 says:

Who wants to bet that William and Kate well become full time stay home parents once the child is born?

    • My2Pence says:

@ Angelic 20. Ah, but in which “home” will they stay 24/7/365?

      – 21 room, 4 storey apartment at Kensington Palace

      – Amner Hall on Sandringham estate

      – Harewood Park (rumored to have been purchased by Charles and fixed up for WK before 2007 breakup)

      – Scottish cottage William inherited from Queen Mum

      – Her parents new home in Berkshire that William may or may not have helped purchase. Since she seems to live with her parents full-time, will this continue after the baby arrives and William will just move in too? (Which gives the Middleton family illegal 24/7 taxpayer-funded security into the bargain.)

      Am I missing any?

    • bluhare says:

Like anyone would take that bet, Angelic!!

  22. apsutter says:

HAHAHAHAHAHA. What a f***ing joke. Yes, he’s “choosing” his family over his job. More like he barely even flies anymore and RAF is sick of making exceptions and working around Prince Entitled’s ass.

    • bluhare says:

That’s exactly what I think. I wish I was a fly on those London/Wales walls, I raelly do.

  23. Hope says:

You know, I completely agree with you about how William should have announced his intentions sooner and not lied his butt off and dilly-dallied. As far as Waity’s sure to be super long maternity leave goes, good. She should have a year off. All primary parents should. I know way too many people who have missed so many special moments with their kids because of work. Sadly it’s a luxury few can afford, but I don’t think it’s one we should begrudge others, even if they are lazy.

@Hope. In order to get ANY time off from work – sick, vacation, or maternity leave – you actually have to work full-time. If you are lucky-enough to have a job that provides leave time, since many jobs no longer include any form of paid leave.

Do you honestly believe Kate Middleton has been working 40+ hours per week for the last two years? She is paid by the taxpayers to serve, she chooses not to. She has in no way “earned” full-time maternity leave, much less for a full year. Again, they are not rich – their funding comes from the taxpayers. They are taking the perks and refusing to do the work.

You know, I completely agree with you about how William should have announced his intentions sooner and not lied his butt off and dilly-dallied. It’s a People puff piece, so I’m not sure I can lay the blame on their PR here. Although, I would pay Kaiser to be my PR person, and I think she would do a fine job if she had the royal beat.

He was always going to give it up so all the discussion on whether it was because of the privatization or the baby or whatever is for naught.

PEOPLE Magazine’s corp TIME is trying to unload People Magazine, they are also laying off people because revenue sales are down. Kate may be a darling to PEOPLE Mag who are continually trying to shove her in our faces on that cover, but she still is not beloved or sells like Diana Princess of Wales did. Kate is just a cold fish and fake, the public is not fooled by her, no matter how many covers she gets on.

If Kate was truly going to dazzle the world, she and William would already be doing it, these two are just two lackluster people with Royal titles.
These two are just lazy, they think they can go along half -assed , doing a wave and chat at a royal event every now and then and the public will fawn over them, but imo it’s not happening, because they are both only concerned more about “themselves ” and could care less about the public when they attend these events.
How can a girl-woman who spent all her twenties, chasing a Prince, not working, clubbing, not interacting with the public, but instead taking every opportunity to jump on the first lavish vacation that came her way suddenly be made into a caring charitable Princess? It’s not working, it’s never going to work, because despite the press trying to promote her as the second coming, “it’s just NOT happening with these two.” They are dull, lackluster and worst of all LAZY and selfish.
