According to the National Enquirer and multiple gossip sites, Courtney Cox and David Arquette are “desperate” for another child, whether by IVF or adoption. Courtney gave birth to daughter Coco in 2004, and it seems Courtney is feeling broody for another set of little feet to join the Cox-Arquette clan.
Courteney Cox is reportedly planning on adopting with husband David Arquette in a bid to save their marriage. The couple – who recently spent the holidays with Jennifer Aniston in Mexico – are said to be eager to adopt after several failed attempts conceive a second child.
A source tells the National Enquirer, “David wants a sibling for Coco, but Courteney’s reached a point where she feels it’s hopeless to keep trying to get pregnant.
“They love each other very much, but with Courteney’s intense work schedule and her resisting adoption, David started acting out, going out nights without her.
“But now that Courteney’s given the Okay to adopting a brother or sister for Coco, David has agreed to scale back on nights out and be more accommodating to Jennifer Aniston when she’s on the scene. “It’s a win-win scenario for Courteney and David.”
Courteney struggled to fall pregnant before she and David finally concieved four-year-old Coco.

If they want to go for IVF or adoption, it makes no difference to me. I like celebrity gossip as much as the next person, but I draw the line at judging other women’s reproductive systems. Courtney has always been vocal about her difficulties in conceiving- she and David tried for years before she got pregnant with Coco. I would completely understand how Courtney wouldn’t want to go on that merry-go-round of fertility treatments, hormones, etc with IVF. So I wouldn’t be surprised if they do end up adopting. The only thing I find slightly amusing about this whole report is how Jennifer Aniston’s well-being is somehow a factor in the Cox-Arquette family planning. *zipping mouth about that one*

huh??? how does jennifer aniston figure in this adoption thing? anyway, i do love courtney & david…wishing them luck.
Good for them, there are so many children that deserve a good home…wishing them all the happiness only a child can bring..
So David has to be nicer to Jen or Courtney won’t allow an adoption? Now that’s just stupid.
I hope they have/adopt a boy and name it DaArq.
Is it just me or is that piece from Entertainmentwise kind of mean-minded all round to everyone concerned? This ‘saving their marriage’ and the JA mention – just seems unnecessarily bitchy.
Agree, geronimo — it’s unnecessarily bitchy, and just so obviously using Aniston’s name to get more attention. For something that isn’t even REMOTELY about her. Ridiculous.
Infertility is so painful, and often years of invasive treatments fail to find the “problem”.
But for Courteney, I can’t help but wonder if a sandwich might do the trick.
Why is Aniston such a third wheel in this relationship? It’s not enough her own marriage was wrecked, she’s got to spread it around? Is she that needy?
I’m sorry, but did anyone ever see “Johns” with David Arquette? I don’t think he get’s enough credit for his talent. On topic though, I hope they do a domestic adoption.
Fertility treatments, no fertility treatments, adoption–what does it matter? The method doesn’t make a baby any less baby-like. As long as the child is wanted, loved, and cared for, who cares?
It seems it’s happening to Courtney the same thing that Monica Geller experienced in the last episodes of Friends.
Granger, Geronimo – I actually picked the nicest one I could find. A lot of the other pieces I read were like “Courtney’s pulling an Angelina by adopting and Jen’s furious!!”
The weird thing is that I *totally* believe Courtney is taking Jen into account with her family planning.
Dimo velo (sorry, that’s a damn long name to type), when Friends was being made, Courtney had suffered a few miscarriges at the time & found it very difficult to get through the episodes. Usually work can be a small escape for difficult times , but for her having her character going through the same heartbreak was sometimes too much.
They are such loving parents, I wish them luck.
No, I’m not stalking them to know this, I just can’t remember where the hell I read this.
@Kaiser, in general, we have an opposite take on the Jen/ other people I don’t want to name since the article is not about them/situation, but your last comment was hilarious.
Remember this article is from the Enquirer. I actually am surprised that you guys use this “magazine” on your site. Is this not the worst of all the rags – can’t imagine why it would be quoted. Desperate much?
Anyway Jennifer has nothing to do with this story it is just that everyone knows that Courtney is not as interesting as Jennifer. No one would even read or post this story if jennifer was not somehow involved. Really sad.
Starla, I read something similar after Friends ended–in fact, at least one of Courtney’s real-life miscarriages coincided with Rachel’s in-show pregnancy. That can’t have been easy.
Although CC and DA seemed like an unlikely couple, they’ve been together far longer than I would have predicted. I hope they’re able to have another child, regardless of how they and that child find each other.
Orphans are the latest must-have fashion accessory for the ‘concerned’ celebrity these days.
Heya great! It pays to be health-conscious with our diet this day and age. I have lately learned how essential tomatoes are for us and also the incredible health gains they provide. Growing tomatoes from seed in one’s own garden is not difficult and will supply you a delicious nutritious vege (fruit 😉
