On Monday night, someone sent us a one-line email that read, in total, “jennifer love hewitt is pregnant and engaged to costar boyfriend.” That was before the news broke on Celebslam, and that person had send us other random tips on Hewitt, claiming that she had a source on the set of Hewitt’s TV show, “The Client List.” I should have followed up on it, I know, and now I’m seeing the news all over. So maybe that means that the other tips this person sent me were true, that Hewitt had made sure that her boyfriend, Brian Hallisay, had a larger role on the show than producers intended and that there were hard feelings among the cast members. This tipster also claimed that Hallisay was living with Hewitt, in a new home she purchased, and was a “kept man.”
Hewitt has since confirmed that she’s pregnant and engaged, and she’s on the cover of US Weekly for it! It’s been a long time since she’s been on the cover of a weekly entertainment magazine, I think over four years, so this is big score for her. Here’s US’ story:
Everything’s coming up roses for Jennifer Love Hewitt. The Client List actress, 34, is not only pregnant with her first child but also engaged to marry boyfriend Brian Hallisay, Us Weekly confirms exclusively in the new issue.
The actors, who previously appeared together on NBC’s short-lived series Love Bites, started dating 15 months ago after reconnecting on the set of their hit Lifetime show. Hallisay proposed in late May, while the two were vacationing in Europe.
Adding to the couple’s bliss is the news that they’re expecting their first child. As Us Weekly reported exclusively on Tuesday, June 4, Hewitt is around three months pregnant. “We’re so thrilled and happy to start a family,” the costars told Us in a statement.
Both the pregnancy and the engagement are a dream come true for the first-time mom-to-be, who has been vocal in the past about her belief in fairy-tale romances. “I think that I could be a really good wife,” the actress (whose exes include Jamie Kennedy and former fiance Ross McCall) said in 2010. “I know that I love being able to give my love out to someone. I know there is somebody great out there for me.”
It seems like this was a whirlwind romance for her, but they’ve been together about a year. Jennifer has been talking about finding the right guy, and planning her wedding, for years now, so she probably feels ready. She also has been very open about wanting kids, and just said in March that she would freeze her eggs if it didn’t happen for her soon. That must have been right around the time she got pregnant. Congratulations to Jennifer and Brian! Ooh this makes me wonder when she’s going to do a photo op to show off the ring. You know that’s coming. It will be one of the three she has picked out already.

Yes–I too have this body type and waved goodbye to my cute hourglass figure a couple of months ago. Luckily, I was super excited and happy to become a mom, so I embrace my new “all-over” roundness and I’m sure JLove will too!

I rarely read the crazy surrounding JLH so I like her and think she has a fantastic body but if the rumors are try about her getting her man more time on the show that sounds bad and low. What is with women dating down? I’m happy that she is pregnant so at least she is getting a baby, which is important for a woman her age who seems to have desperately wanted one for a long time. Not quite as optimistic about the shelf life of this relationship though. A baby isn’t going to make him “the one”. Maybe she will finally get to walk down the aisle and he will stick around longer for the sake of the child, but I sense this is going to end up like one of Kate Winslet’s marriages.

I never believe this oops surprise pregnancy once a women gets into her 30’s. especially since she discussed recently freezing her eggs. She knew what she was going for and what she was doing during the months they were getting busy if she is not on birth control. Might the guy be clueless or think that it is a surprise pregnancy sure she can sell that to him. If your researching freezing eggs you are most likely very in tune with timing to up odds of pregnancy.
I wish her best with the guy. Regardless, this baby will give her something she is missing in her life. She did seem very close to her mom. It was touching.
