If you couldn’t tell already, I’m obsessed with knowing what Brad Pitt gave Angelina Jolie for her 38th birthday. We know they spent her birthday in Berlin, where they went to the Berlin premiere of WWZ, and then the whole family went out to eat, and then Brad & Angie went to the Soho House where Angelina only stayed for an hour and Brad kept partying until 2:30 am. But none of that answered my question as to what kind of jewelry Brad got her, if he got her anything at all. Well, Brad was asked about b-day present and he told Bild, “Oh, that’s private. You know, something for the global woman, something for the mother [and] something dirty – always.” So, three gifts: birthday booty, something mommy, and something classy.
Now E! News reports that Angelina was wearing one of her birthday presents on the Berlin red carpet – see that bracelet? That was a gift from Brad. He designed it himself!
Angelina Jolie was literally wearing a token of Brad Pitt’s affection at the Berlin premiere of World War Z. A source exclusively tells E! News that the actress’ stunning bracelet, featuring five rows of sparkling white quartz, was a Christmas gift from Pitt in 2011—a present that the architecturally inclined actor helped design along with Jolie’s personal jeweler, Robert Procop.
While she may have worn the bauble to more private affairs since, Tuesday marked her first time showing it off in public. And the romance didn’t stop at Jolie’s wrist. The diamond earrings she was wearing were also a recent gift from Pitt, designed to match her engagement ring.
Both of Pitt’s creations, meanwhile, were based on an original tablet design first used by Jolie when she had a pendant made for her real-life leading man. The tablet has since been a running theme in their presents to one another.
Jolie has since decided to add Pitt’s bracelet design to her Style of Jolie jewelry collection, which will be available in September at Y2 jewelry boutiques in China and a few select retail stores in the U.S. The earrings the actress wore to WWZ’s Paris premiere were part of her collection, sales from which will benefit her Education Partnership for Children of Conflict foundation.
And we’ll be keeping our eyes peeled: We don’t have the specifics yet, but another source tells us that Pitt also gave Jolie jewelry for her 38th birthday yesterday. No doubt it’s stunning.
So, Brad designed the bracelet with Robert Procop. Which is why the bracelet looks so much like The Style of Jolie jewelry – Angelina loves this jewelry style. Makes sense. The earrings just look like big, drop earrings, and I guess those are quartz too. I like quartz a lot, and I have a quartz ring (with diamond surround) that everyone thinks is an amethyst. Anyway, I just think it’s sweet that Brad is designing jewelry for her. I want to know more about the jewelry they give each other!
The Sun also claims that Brad bought Angelina thousands of dollars’ worth of lingerie for her birthday too:

So Brad made an extra fuss of her as she turned 38 – buying her a stack of knickers and bras from Agent Provocateur – as well as designer togs… and a horse.
He handed over a load of the gifts while they were in Paris for a premiere of Brad’s horror movie World War Z.
A source said: “Since Angie has recovered from the surgery her and Brad have been acting like a couple of lovestruck teenagers. They can’t keep their hands off each other. It was her birthday on Tuesday and as well as the underwear, Brad arranged for the French fashion designer HEDI SLIMANE, from Saint Laurent in Paris, to sort her out with a whole wardrobe full of new clothes.”
“Angelina was so touched by Brad’s gifts that she teared up. She can’t wait to marry him this summer.”
So, let’s keep track – she got a bracelet, earrings, new clothes from Hedi Slimane, and lots of lingerie? Angelina scored big-time this birthday. And good for Brad for making it into a really big deal.
UPDATE: Yeah, so I didn’t read the E! News story close enough. Brad gave her this bracelet for Christmas a few years ago and she wore it on this red carpet. But they say he did give her jewelry for her birthday.

I love them dearly, and she has looked SO gorgeous in this most recent tour-and so joyous! Joy just sparkles out of these two when they are together.
I’m thinking she’s had these dresses designed specifically to cover her entire chest as she won’t have done reconstruction yet if she just had the mastectomy. Usually the recon happens a few months later and you have to use prosthetics and bandages for awhile until everything heals, but maybe I’m behind on the news
I think I read that reconstruction was in the same procedure as the mastectomy. Like they took from her and gave to her in the same procedure. Someone correct me if I’m wrong and made that up…
I suppose there are several ways to do it, but my good friend just had a double mastectomy. Directly after the removal the surgeons put in “expanders” to prep her for implants that went in several weeks later. So she always had some “size” going on up top.

Don’t want to sound mean but her implants are proportionally quite big for her frame no? Anyway, she looks really beautiful and relaxed, I think the procedure has put her mind at rest a lot. They are a great couple.
I think they might still be swollen from the surgery. It takes a few months for them to drop into their natural pockets.
I also want to say that I really like this dress on her. It is 10,000 better than the sacks she usually chooses. It also clearly demonstrates how thin you have to be to pull off a peplum!

Check the article here from yesterday about Angelina’s outfit. The current ‘size’ of her breasts, and the fact that they will settle into a smaller size (which is normal), was explained in detail several times by a few wonderful women who have had the procedure.

Her boobs are still swollen and will drop in size but most people don’t realize when they settle it’s not by much.
How do I know…well from experience. I worked around boobs for over 8 years and most of them fake. I have gone with girls when they had their surgeries and I have seen women before and after their surgeries. Sometimes the shape will change a little but if Angie got a large C it will still be a large C when they settle. If she got a small C, it will still be a small C after they have settled. I think she looks great and it’s also the dress that’s giving them that fuller appearance.
V4Real – I think the point is, she probably picked implants that were close to her original size. It is swelling and them sitting so high that is making it look like she got really big ones. The amount of swelling from just an implant is marked. I can’t imagine what it must be like when surgically REMOVE all the breast tissue, and then do a reconstruction. JMO.
@Lulu I don’t know if you know of anyone who has gone through breast reconstruction the way that Angie has but I do. Before they put the implants in they inject you with some type of substance to build the fatty tissue back up. I don’t remember the exact medical term for it. My co-worker went through it. She had breast cancer and removed both of her breast, even the one without the cancer. Before they add the implants you have to get these injections for at least a couple of months. I’m assuming that’s why Angie took a few months. Overtime we could see the fat building back up where her breast were. Unfortunately she decided not to go through with the implants, she have so many other health problems such as type 2 Diabetes, heart problems asthma, etc. Her medical Bills are ridicules.
