I thought for sure that Kim Kardashian, Kanye West and little Knorth Kardashian would be on this week’s People Magazine cover. But it didn’t happen. Too bad. And Kim isn’t allowing her mom to debut Knorth on her new talk show either, which is probably driving Kris up the wall. There is a story in this week’s Us Weekly that Kim will make her first post-baby appearance on Kris’s show… at some point. Apparently, Kim wants to show off how much weight she’s losing. More on that in a moment. But for now, let’s just be happy that Kim has finally issued a statement… on her Celebuzz blog:

Can you believe Knorth is already a month old? She was born on June 15th. And we still haven’t seen her!! Kanye must have the baby on lockdown. Either that, or Kim really just doesn’t want her photo taken just yet. Speaking of, Radar had a suspicious story a few days ago about Kim and how great she looks now:
Kim Kardashian has been in hiding since giving birth to daughter North West more than four weeks ago, but RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned the new mother was recently spotted for the first time on a public outing with the baby — and we have all the details.
According to an onlooker, Kim was out and about in Southern California some time in the last few days, keeping a low profile and avoiding paparazzi by tooling around town in her nanny/helper’s car that looks anything but what Kim is accustom to!
“Kim looks amazing, she really does. She’s dropped a lot of the baby weight already…not to say she still doesn’t have a ways to go, but she looked slim and was glowing,” the onlooker revealed.
“As for the baby, Kim and her helper kept a blanket over North’s car seat so nobody could catch a glimpse.”
This sighting of Kim is the first since she gave birth to North on June 15 — quite possibly the longest Kim has ever gone without being photographed since becoming a public figure.
As RadarOnline.com exclusively reported last week, Kim is sick of being in hiding and wants everyone to see her baby sooner rather than later.
“Kim is excited to have the whole world see her baby,” a source told Radar. “She is saying that she knows that everyone will love her as much as she does and she wants people to see how beautiful she is.”
During Kim’s most recent sighting, the onlooker tells Radar Kim looked fabulous.
“She’s dropped quite a bit of the baby weight and it shows,” they said. “And she really looked like a doting mother, which was nice to see.”
Yes, we get it, Kris Jenner. Kim will be available for “Body After Baby” photoshoots any day now. Start booking them, Kris! But quite honestly, props to Kim thus far. I thought she would pimp out the baby within days of giving birth. Maybe this is a new and improved Kim? We’ll see, people.

The entire world will be all over the place once the royal baby is born, & will be all anyone wants to talk about. Even though they’ve had a burst in their popularity recently, I just don’t think Kim & Kanye can compete w/the royal offspring/possible next Queen of England.

I must be in the minority here because I don’t care about Will and Kate’s baby. I rather see a picture of KK and Kanye’s baby. I think a lot of young American girls and the hip hop community want to see a photo of their baby.

I think Kim’s waiting until Kate pops out the new prince(ss) so Kim can get her and North’s photos on the same page as the royal baby. You know those royal baby front pages are going to be collector’s items and Kim wants to be on the same page.
Agreed: mags with Baby Cambridge on the cover are going to be collector’s items. And that’s why I think Knorth wil NOT share covers with Baby Cambridge, regardless of what KK wants or hopes. Sharing the covers of mags with Knorth would devalue Baby Cambridge, and make the mags less valuable and thus less attractive to purchasers, and I think mags editors will recognize that.
Not that there’s much competition, really. I don’t think anyone really equates KK with England’s royal family — anyone outside the Kardashian family, anyways.

She’s had a 24/7 nanny since the second the baby came out. I just can’t take her “motherhood” seriously at all.
If I had her money I would hire a nanny too. When I was born my mum had my grandma to help her for some time, I don’t see the big deal.
There is nothing wrong with getting some help. But if all the stories are true, she is doing very little in the way of taking care of the baby. According to reports (again IF true), she doesn’t change diapers, she breastfeeds constantly (wonder what “constantly” means), except at night, and holds the baby. Also she does not soothe the baby at night when she is crying. Most of the bonding time I have had with my own children and my grandchildren is when I was changing diapers, giving baths (don’t know if she is doing this or not), up at night to feed them (the best alone, one on one, time you can have), comforting them whenever, etc. Hope she isn’t missing out on these opportunities. I was not sleep deprived because I learned early to nap when my kiddos napped and I still do so when babysitting my grandchildren!
I think there’s a huge difference between family helping and hiring help 24/7. I think when you’re not changing any diapers and not doing feedings, etc that you’re not fully embracing motherhood. In that case you’re paying someone to do your job. When she’s working, it will make sense to have a nanny during working hours. I just hope she eventually steps up and has more active involvement in her daughter’s life.
Motherhood is messy and exhausting and completely unglamorous but doing all of those unglamorous things really helps bond you in big ways. I just personally don’t see why a person would bother having a child so they can pay someone else to take care of it 24/7.

Let’s not attack her for using her resources to hire help. Many of us would do the same thing. Motherhood means different things for different women. I don’t like KK but I won’t fault her for hiring help.

I don’t mind her having 24/7 nannies. That would mean someone’s always available, which is nice if you can afford it. It’s just that neither she nor Mama Ten Percent ever showed real interest in Kourtney’s kids (little Mason seems downright afraid of Mama Ten Percent) and we keep getting little tidbits like she needs ten hours sleep so she pumps before bed and nanny does all the night work, or that she doesn’t change diapers at all. Kanye apparently likewise is averse to night work with the baby or changing diapers. How much else is the nanny doing for little Ka-Ching! Kardashian North ByNorth West? Once the kid is on solid food, will Nanny do all the feeding (could Kim stand the messiness of baby experimenting with pureed carrots?)? Kim has nothing else to do now, so what tiny fraction of her time is she even spending in the same room with little Ka-Ching!? These are reasonable doubts, based on her history. We’re not seeing/hearing any signs of the dad stepping in either, other than to stare admiringly at his daughter allegedly. Children are messy and develop their own personalities, likes and dislikes. They are not dolls that are whatever the owner imagines them to be.
I’m still hoping Kim puts a little pager tag (like my escape artist cat has on her collar) on Ka-Ching! once she starts crawling, or else it will be Mercy the Kitten all over again. “Where’s Ka-Ching!?” will be a frequent cry in that house.

I think she is waiting for the Royal baby to be born to try and steal it’s thunder which won’t happen. Kim is probably working out like a demon you can do that when you have someone else to look after the baby and do everything else for you. It’s easy when it’s the only thing you have to concentrate on. KNorth will probably be papped a lot once we get the official pictures. I think they think the longer they hold out the more cash they will make out of it.
Kate Hudson admitted she worked out 6 hours a day after having her baby, because she had a part in Glee to get fit for. Agree with it or not, at least that was for a part, this trick is just going to try to sell photos and is so vain she can’t stand the idea of anyone seeing her fat. You could see it in every photo, she was fighting the pregnancy the whole time and I honestly believe that she was induced a few weeks earlier as she didn’t want the Royal baby to upstage her.
She was out every day during her pregnancy. She was mocked every time for it and people even gleefully waited every month for her to get fatter and fatter. If she cared, she would have gone in hiding after the first trimester so that theory doesn’t hold up.
Furthermore, she’s naturally curvy and not petite and never will be, so the transitioning isn’t going to be from superfat to superskinny anyway. If anything, it would make her more human.
I do think there going to do a big unveiling and we all know people are waiting for that and are going to commentse on it for days. Why else analyse the reasons of her being MIA for a good month now instead of rejoicing? She’s been in the media non-stop for years and the one time we don’t see her, people still comment on her. And then people wonder WHY she’s still famous despite doing absolutely nothing important.
She was mostly mocked, to be fair, because she insisted on squeezing herself into clothes that didn’t fit and thus made her look bigger and high heeled shoes that looked painful and at times dangerous. It looked to me like she was fighting it. I think I only saw her about 2-5% of the time in clothes that looked suitable/comfortable for a pregnant woman to be wearing.
She’s back in the news because she posted a message. I haven’t seen a story about her on here other than that, as you said she hasn’t been doing anything.
I also think her desperate need for fame and to be papped outweighed any uncomfortableness she might have felt about being photographed which is why she dressed the way she did.

It’s funny you said “alienlike” as my twin grandbabies were born at 3 lbs 4 oz and 2 lbs 14 oz and my daughter, their mom, always said they looked like aliens when they were born.

Sorry, I didn’t mean to offend everybody. I think mixed babies are really pretty. My boyfriend is black. A lot of people do not believe in interracial dating. And other than seal and Heidi, they are the most prominent mixed race couple. So I think a lot of people would be interested in seeing what their baby looks like. Especially if they have not been exposed to much interracial dating.
although Kim and Kanye are not what I would call role models, a lot of people watch what they do. Even though it’s 2013, they are the first really famous and documented couple to date outside their race and procreate. So even though I can’t stand either of them, I like that they are so open with their relationship. It sets a good precedent and shows that there is nothing wrong with it. And the prettiness of their baby will reinforce that fact. Hope you get what I mean, I did not realize what I said was so offensive.

Ouch. I will be dropping my six week-old off at daycare in September, because I work for an organization so small that FMLA is not available.
I’m not judging her for having a nanny. Please don’t judge people like my husband and me who both work full-time to be able to save for a house and college funds for our (almost) two kids.
Most American women don’t have the option of more than 6 weeks’ leave. I just happen to be one of them.

K&K have it good, they can afford a nanny and thus keep their child in her own home and their schedules will allow then to pop in and out during the day or better take her with them to work because they have a nanny. Kim could have her child with her all the time, I’m betting as a new mom Cate (and Sonia too) would love to have that option.

The nanny/Kim disgust (is how I would term it) is not because she can afford a nanny. But mostly because Kim has been so vacuous an vain in the past that it’s pretty hard for people to believe she gets in the trenches with the baby. You know, like most of us do.

I have no problem with her having a nanny. My problem is her saying she’s “embracing motherhood” while she has a 24 hour nanny and has reported that she nurses the baby only during the day, never changes diapers and never wakes with the baby during the night.
I think most new moms would like to have a night off once or twice a week to catch up on sleep so I understand that. I just feel really strongly that if you want to talk about “motherhood” you need to be behaving like a mother and actually offering your baby more care than you would offer to a family member’s child that you’re babysitting for an afternoon. Based on what we’re hearing, she’s not putting in the time right now and that will reflect on her relationship with her child later. You have to put in some effort and not leave it ALL to other people.
She’s probably waiting until after the royal baby is born. She’s probably waiting to steal their thunder.

I saw her on WWHL also and she also talked about the name. Andy told her that kids were going to make fun of her and Kris said they wouldn’t because the kids would just call her North, not North West.
To fully embrace motherhood, you’d have to do away with the night nurse. That said, I’d have gladly taken the respite of one if I could have- at least for the first month or so.

A full time mom is a full time mom. How many of us have that knowing moment when first timers talk about the sleepless nights due to around the clock feeding and changing and burping? Some of you we’re fortunate to have help. My husband and I were on our own for all of our children. To me, Kim is just playing at being an all the time parent. She is just paying lip service and can therefore “take a hike with that BS”.
