Kate Hudson wants you all to know, those raunchy photos shoots she does for the magazines periodically aren’t to promote a film or herself, they’re art.
She said: “I love doing them and I will do more. It’s fun. Also, I’ve come to appreciate the skill of the photographer. It’s a real art. I’m very interested in that side of it.”
The 29 year old actress recently revealed she feels ready to bare all in a movie.
Kate explained she would “do anything” to land a challenging role, even if it meant appearing naked.
She said: “It depends on the movie and depends on the circumstance, but nudity is always something that is an issue for women. I am pretty comfortable with that but as long as it works for the movie.”
“Nudity is normally the biggest issue that I think about in a movie. But if I wanted a part I would pretty much do anything I needed to in order to get that role.”
Kate’s frequently photographed at the beach in a bikini by paps, but those aren’t the photos she’s referring to. She talking more about this sort.
Kate is currently appearing in Bride Wars beside Anne Hathaway, who is going from awards show to awards show collecting accolades for her role in Rachael Getting Married. Is there any industry that congratulates itself as much as the entertainment industry? Anne probably going to get nominated for an Oscar, and much of the Bride Wars publicity focuses on her, so I’m guessing that Kate Hudson needs to talk about being naked to gain some interest.

Actress trying to shake off child actess persona and thus continue to be “relevant” = nudity
Actress trying to break into the biz = nudity
“Older” actress trying to keep an audience and thus continue working = nudity (usually preceded by tons of excruciating plastic surgery that she then has to deny)

I’m starting to believe that in order to enjoy this website, I have to A. be obsessed with Angelina Jolie, B. suspend rationality enough to take EVERY word a celebrity says out of context, and C. be very, very offended at the “f” word.

yeah ok, so the headline is a little bit misleading, but she does say there’s a real art to those cheesy mag shots…
I think it’s the other stuff she says about being willing to do anything for a role that makes this interesting, and so it’s a conversation starter…and a gossip site, for god’s sake, not exactly a place you go for hard news.

i think the ppl who do the photoshop work have more artistic skills. as a photographer you have to work with the people in front of the cam and know how to work things out in front of the camera with them…and the locations and other things of the shooting are given by the agencies or the magazines…they shoot for. the photographer needs a good eye and technique skills. but the photoshop artist…has to do the most work…look at perfekt colors…look how it works in a print not just on your computer…he or she has to look if the motives fit…or change the person into an other situation and replace it. of course he has instructions…but…honestly…it’s more artistic…than kate posing in front.

The Mona Lisa is art, the Venus Demilo is art, hell even Andy Warhol’s pics of Marylin Monroe are art- this isn’t.
I wonder id Goldie is disappointed that all her hard work and career achievements have been overshadowed by Kate’s “right” as her daughter to be famous… its like Paris Hilton with breeding!

Photos are art. Maybe because I am very into photography but I feel that photos are a form of art. They can be beautiful (as these are) and to dismiss them seems wrong.
She seems like a sweet person but sexy? Umm, no. She’s skinny as a stick and flat-chested.
