These are just some photos of Robert Pattinson from July 10th that I never got around to publishing for whatever reason. Too bad, because I really like these pics. Rob looks pretty good here, although I’m side-eyeing these jeans. The fit on the jeans is “skinny” which is bad enough, but they don’t fit him properly (look at the rise and look at the crotch) and what could have been “Sparkles looking cute in tight jeans” becomes “did Sparkles borrow Adam Shulman’s second-favorite pair of J Brands?” Still, the rest of Sparkles looks good. Good t-shirt, nice stubble, great jawline.
Anyway, as I discussed this past weekend, Sparkles is currently in Toronto, working on David Cronenberg’s Maps to the Stars (or is it Map to the Stars?). He’s playing a limo driver in Hollywood, ferrying around big movie stars. Mia Wasikowska is in the film, as is Sarah Gadon. Initially, there were some sparkly rumors about Rob and Sarah Gadon possibly hooking up, because they’ve known each other for a while and why not? And now something terrible has happened. Rob was seen – and PHOTOGRAPHED – kissing a woman on the lips in Toronto. You can see the photo here. Go and look at it and come back.
Apparently, Rob was out with Mia and Jesse Eisenberg (because they’re a couple) and maybe some other people. When Rob was saying goodnight, he kissed this unknown girl, and Twihards the world over began to cry. I’m trying hard to see if this woman looks at all like Sarah Gadon… and I’m just not seeing it. I think this is definitely NOT Sarah Gadon. But is it just me or does this woman look a lot like Marion Cotillard?
So… yeah. Sparkles kissed another woman. It’s okay, Twihards. Just think of it this way… he’s probably boned about a half-dozen women in the past month. There, there. Better?

Isn’t the girl giving him just a kiss on the cheek? I don’t care what they’re doing, but it just looks like a goodbye kiss on the cheek.
This is his second film with Cronenberg. I would say the the stepping stone has worked and he is well on his way to a serious career.
Starring in small forgettable movies that no one sees and that are not nominated to any awards is not a career. How much Cosmopolis made at the box-office? $763,556. Not even a million dollars. And that was at the time when Kristen cheated and everyone felt sorry for him. Even his own so-called fans did not support his little ’serious’ movie. Who will then?
That’s the reason why no one asks him to star in solid budget movies. Because he can’t sell them. That’s why he shoots those small movies that have trouble even to be released in wide box-office. And it’s not like his acting is awards worthy and someone will nominate him for something. That is not serious career. That is career to oblivion.
His and Kristen’s biggest problem is that Twilight is over and now they won’t have massive free PR for themselves every year when they would do tons on interviews, covers and stay relevant. We all saw what happened to careers of Orlando Bloom, Shia and Megan after LOTR and Transformes ended.
I was in Toronto and wondered why there’s a Stars “Hall of Fame” or whatever the official name for the Hollywood stars with celebrity names along the side walk(sorry for flaunting my flagrant ignorance & laziness -can’t be bothered to close this window to google it). Guess Toronto or Canada in general is the cost effective rip off American set for low budget films…Again, what’s with all the Canada PR? Can someone explain why not only is it a trendy to cherry pick celebs from there but to also scoop activities of American celebs with their antics in Maple Leaf town? Seriously- there was the Cory Montieth tragedy, Elisha Cuthbert’s wedding, Julia Robert’s niece ( can’t remember her name) & her tiff with her bf, now Rob & his kiss fests… The man looks good btw. I don’t care if his jeans wear him!
ummm, both Corey Monteith and Elisha Cuthbert ARE Canadian, so it makes perfect sense that events involving them would have occurred in Canada.
Secondly, yes, it is much cheaper to film in Canada and thus many projects film here. Toronto, Montreal and Vancouver are all large cities that are perfectly capable of accommodating a large production. This is nothing new. TV shows especially have been fond of filming in Canada for decades. The X-files for example was filmed in Vancouver for almost it’s entire run. Not to mention, Cronenberg is ALSO Canadian and likes to film here. What may be new is the increased presence of paparazzi to capture and discuss it.
The Canadian walk of fame is exactly that, a walk of fame for Canadian stars. The USA doesn’t own the market on all media production and we are perfectly welcome to celebrate the stars who have contributed to film, television and music both in Canada and abroad.
And I seriously don’t get your comment about hollywood “cherry picking” Canadian talent as though every star ever is or should be US born. There are plenty of Brits and Aussies and all sorts of other (primarily English-speaking) nationalities represented in Hollywood. Your tone makes it seem like you have a serious bone to pick with Canada in general or Toronto, which begs the question, why bother visiting us?

As for the kiss, it looks like he caught this mystery woman off guard. I’m thinking it was some spontaneous, possibly drunken, display.
I saw the photos. There’s nothing salacious by any means about them. It’s just a small group of people gathered outside a restaurant saying their good byes. Apparently Rob wrapped on the set of Cronenberg’s new film Map to the Stars already and there was a small wrap dinner with a few cast and crew. Mia, Rob’s co-star was there with her boyfriend Jesse Eisenberg. There is a photo of her giving Rob a good bye hug and kiss too. The other woman you mention also hugging and giving Rob a good bye kiss was identified as part of the crew from the Map to the Stars set. As of yesterday, Rob was already photographed back in LA. It was a very short shoot for him in Toronto. However, production moves to LA soon, so Rob is most likely to have more filming there.
Yeah, it looks like he’s affectionately planting a wet one on her as he says goodbye, not trying to make out with her.
From that angle you can’t even tell for sure if it’s a lip kiss. That could easily be a kiss on the cheek, close to the mouth.

Probably nothing in this goodbye kiss, but the reactions are interesting. I highly doubt this girl is anything more than a crew friend, maybe since Cosmopolis. But you probably wouldn’t have seen this sort of moment when he was with Kristen, so it’s a definite change.
I love Rob, but I agree he does need some jeans help. I hate that his jeans are looking like Efron’s jeans lately – too skinny and low. But I still find him ridiculously attractive.
I remember seeing photos from the Cosmopolis wrap party that are quite similar to these. Everyone was standing outside the restaurant saying their good byes with hugs and kisses. Cronenberg likes to work with the same crew and certain actors on his films so I’m sure actors and crew are familiar and friendly with one another on his film sets. Rob is a very friendly, charming guy who seems to make friends very easily with everybody on the film sets he has worked on. People he comes in contact with always have nice things to say about him. No surprise, really.

Seriously, what girl can deal with the crazy attention/hate they get when dating him? It’s really scary. I feel sorry for him because it must be annoying as hell but i also feel sorry for Kristen because she put up with so much crap just for dating him. I don’t count the shippers as fans of Rob or Kristen and more as people who confused fictional Twilight with real-life, but nevertheless they tend to be way more into RPattz and are a huge part of his fanbase. Also, I even saw comments on here regarding Katy or Riley..some of his sparkle stans hate any woman he is associated with, even if they also hate KStew. Lainey had a pretty good assessment yesterday of the conundrum.

Agree to disagree. I think Lainey’s point was that a big chunk of his fans tend to be ones who will a) harass or hate every women he is with or b) shippers obsessed with “Bella” and “Edward.” The sane ones are outnumbered by the crazies. I’m not a fan, but I do feel that both he and KStew got saddled with a lot of crazies.
Crew members don’t go kissing the stars of the films. Ever. It’s not only unprofessional, it’s very frowned upon. When was the last time you saw another movie star kiss or be kissed by a member of the crew? Definitely not from the crew. Come on.

I agree that on traditional sets you don’t have a lot of mixing of Specials & Crew. But on smaller sets, you see it all the time – it’s more of a family atmosphere. There’s usually only one craft services area, people are sharing trailers, etc. You just are more likely to become close with a wide range of people on a small set and there isn’t the sort of isolation that happens with the Specials on a large production.
If you want the criticism directed at Stewart and her fans to stop at this and other more intelligent sites, you could begin by not turning every post about Pattinson into an opportunity to paint Stewart as a victim. The idea that Mia would ask Jesse to protect her is ridiculous. It is, like your talk of “haters” nothing but empty silly drama.
My favorite thing is that shippers breathed a sigh of relief as soon as they identified her as crew. As if it is completely out of the realm of possibility that he’d ever hook up with someone behind the camera, lol.

That pic was taken outside a restaurant called Rose & Sons (roseandsons.ca; the menu looks amazing!), where a few cast/crew celebrated the wrapping of filming in Toronto. Patts was kissing/hugging the women in the group goodbye (and you know how any group of friends part for the evening; it takes about an hour).
The woman he pecked was Caitlin Cronenberg, David’s daughter and MTTS’ official photographer. He then hugged Mia and another woman. It’s completely innocent and such a non-big deal it’s not even funny. It’s called camaraderie; these guys were hardly strangers off the street prior to production. (He probably had a drink or two in him as well, which would make sense.)
It’s time for the Twihards/Robsten bunch/what have you to crawl out from under their moldy rock and rejoin that little annoyance called reality.

I don’t think many fans were bothered by it, honestly. There are some crazies that like to whip up drama over nothing, but most people shrugged it off. The tabloids tried to put a spin on it to get their hits, but what else is new?
