Sharon Stone is remarkably & naturally beautiful at any age, says Sharon Stone

Sharon Stone wants you to know that her magnificent beauty is simply a fluke of her incredible bone structure. Her whole body just hangs off those cheekbones (bonus points if you know that reference). Sharon covers the new issue of New You Magazine, a magazine I’ve never really heard of or cared about. Sharon talks about aging naturally, which… I don’t know. I used to think Sharon was natural. Then many of you told me that she goes to a great plastic surgeon in France and now I kind of see the work. If she gets work done, I applaud her for getting “small” work and not doing anything drastic or ridiculous. But yeah, I don’t think she’s aging naturally. She thinks she is, though. Some highlights from the magazine:

She’s never had a facelift: “I can’t tell you how many doctors try to sell me a face lift. I’ve even gone as far as having someone talk me into it, but when I went over and looked at pictures of myself, I thought, What are they going to lift? Yes, I have come close — but, frankly, I think that in the art of aging well there’s this sexuality to having those imperfections. It’s sensual.”

On plastic surgery: “If you have things that you want to fix, you should go right ahead and fix them. I don’t think there is anything wrong with cosmetic surgery at all. I think it’s great. But I don’t think it’s alright to distort yourself. You can’t treat an illness with cosmetic surgery, and that’s why it would be great if there were qualified therapists in plastic surgeons’ offices, and that people would go to a therapeutic meeting before plastic surgery. I think that should be part of the FDA requirement.”

Turning 50: “Realize that when you are ‘middle aged’ you have a chance for a whole second career, another love, another life. You may be sick of what you did the first half of your life, but you don’t just have to walk around and play golf or do nothing. We’re too young for that. It’s not like 50 is the new 30. It’s like 50 is the new chapter. We know so much at this age, and people realize we’re the ones with experience. We’re a very colorful generation that is leading once again.”

She has amazing cheekbones: “People are afraid of changing; that they’re losing something. They don’t understand that they are also gaining something. I thought I lost the deep vortex on my eyelid that you have when you’re younger, but I gained almost a kind of beautiful abyss. As I lost the fullness in my face, I got in these great cheekbones.”

She loves gourmet sex: “As women, we understand our bodies, and there’s a blossoming that occurs (with sex). We’re hungry for gourmet meals instead of the fast food. We bring to life a more expansive understanding of life, ourselves, and others. We are more generous and assertive.”

Her philosophy for healthy living: “It begins with a state of mind. I think that many people try to make everything as difficult as they possibly can. You should try to take the philosophy of: What if it’s just easy? If you give up all the resistance and go ahead and forgive, resolve your issues, open your heart, stay in your compassion, sleep when you are supposed to sleep, eat when you are supposed to eat, exercise when you are supposed to exercise, show up on time for your jobs, keep your agreements, and live in your truth, you will have a healthy life.”

[From The Mail]

Well… I mean, Sharon has always been like this. She’s like a “Cougar self-help book” mixed with a self-absorbed drag queen mixed with Deepak Chopra. I actually kind of liked what she said about 50 being a “new chapter” and stuff, but all of the humble-bragging gets on my nerves. But that’s probably because I’m so incredibly beautiful, insightful, generous, compassionate, sexual and brilliant. Even more so than Sharon, obviously. My whole body just hangs off these cheekbones. I’m like Mahatma Gandhi in the body of a supermodel. WHAT?

She is who she is, I’m into it.

    Duhhh, Absolutely Fabulous!

    • Abs says:

Emma. So glad I am not the only one who got the Ab Fab reference! I have never posted here before but I felt the need to this time. I am currently recovering from having a rib removed and have been obsessively watching old Ab Fab episodes. LOVE Patsy and Edina!!!

  3. Pastyousayyouneverknew says:

The narcissism is strong in this one. That being said, if I look that good when I’m fifty, I probably won’t be able to shut up about it either.

    • Froggy says:

      +1

    • Anna says:

Exactly. If I looked like this at 30, I would shout it from the rooftops. And you can even see it in candids/paps pix. Sure, there’s make up and some quality work, but the b*tch looks damned good.

    • Shaz says:

These pics are airbrushed to heck and back. Check out candids and she looks normal for her age. My 62 year old cousin doesn’t even use moisturizer and she looks better than non air brushed Stone.

  4. Nev says:

    Hahahaha yes Sharon!!!!! HOT.

  5. Prim says:

Pff she’s 50 and still talking about herself like she’s a pompous God. It doesn’t bother me in a little acting out 20 something, but in a mature woman? Awful.

  6. AmandaPanda says:

She looks completely different to what she used to. No surgery my ass. This woman is ridiculously narcissistic (and btw, what has she done lately other than show up places & get papped?)

  7. Kate says:

I’m surprised anyone thinks Sharon Stone’s had ‘good’ surgery or a minimal amount of surgery. I feel like she’s looked very pulled and stretched for about a decade. I don’t think she’s gone nuts with fillers so maybe that throws people off, but she’s certainly gone the more old school route. There’s been some major eye work, a brow lift, and while she may not have technically had a facelift, some areas have definitely been ‘lifted’ (her neck in particular). Her face changed very dramatically years ago and she hasn’t looked right since. She looked fantastic in her early to mid 40’s but then suddenly began to look very harsh.

  8. blue marie says:

damn, she looks good. that is all..

  9. Jayna says:

Amazingly beautiful. But she forgets to mention the medicine that she takes after her brain — whatever she had, keeps her thin. She mentioned it before, that it took an extra five or whatever pounds off. She was never fat before it but had put on a few more pounds. She said it was a nice benefit of the med.

Nice not to see a fat pillow face or frozen eyes or duck lips. Well done, Sharon. Show them lessors in Hollyweird how it’s done, subtly. I am glad to see her hair longer and her thicker dark eyebrows. I wasn’t a big fan of her short hair and lighter eyebrows or thinner eyebrows. Whatever it was she was doing a few years back. She’s full of herself, but at least she isn’t calling 50 the new 30.

  10. Eleonor says:

She looks good, but you know photoshop is girl bestfriend.

  11. j.eyre says:

I positively love the idea of gourmet sex. I am having the kitchen torn out today to renovate accordingly.

Hmmm, I think I have a tooth for Australian with a side of English and plan to wash it down with some American. I best change my bonnet, looks like I will be dining in today.

    • T.fanty says:

Seeing as TommyAnne errs on the skinny side, I suggest that we use him as the plate.

I would prefer the tasting menu, as I’m a little tired today. Taking the plate out of the equation, that leaves me with 4-6 courses (plus an amuse bouche, which is not as you think, but actual food for Drunk Uncle Cumby, to keep him quiet while he awaits his turn).

*stands in the Thornfield kitchen and whistles Be Our Guest*

    • j.eyre says:

Whew. Pardon my absence, I was kitting a blanket that would cover the Sun Room’s floor – let’s make it a picnic! That way we can use our hands.

    • TheyPromisedMeBeer says:

Okay, so I know that CHarms is the Australian main course, Cumby/TommyAnne is the English side dish, but who is the American you are washing it down with?

I feel like I’m filling out a foodie blind item. It’s fun!

  12. GiGi says:

Good God. You know, if you look at unshopped paparazzi pics of her she looks just like all the 50 year olds I know. Is she gorgeous? Absolutely. Does her skin look like she’s 30? Not even close.

  13. Micki says:

Erm, I beg to differ. I remember one interview after the Basic Instinct where she said that :we-(women) would do anything to stay young and beautiful, even if that means to turm ourselves into monkeys. Something in this line. I remember it because she had some beauty treatment with palm leaves.

I agree with her point about plastic surgery. Many women substitute therapy with scalpel.I don’t think it works in long run. But I always thought you need and appointment with therapist before you undergo any cosmetic change…

I don’t agree with her “gourmet-sex” philosophy. To enjoy such one the woman has to find a man who is in it too. Not EVERY man is a fast food fan. So I won’t generalize that women …”bring to life a more expansive understanding of life, ourselves, and others. We are more generous and assertive.”

    • Sarah says:

Right? She makes sweeping generalizations in every sentence! What narcissism to think your way is the path of every woman your age. Ugh.

  14. Ella says:

I didn’t find anything wrong with anything she said.

What is so wrong with liking yourself or liking the way you look? It’s not like she’s doing the Jessica Biel “being this beautiful is such a curse” thing.

  15. GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I liked the healthy living part of her interview, about letting go of things, living with integrity, 50 is the next chapter. Part of me feels that way, but it’s a little simplistic. 50 is great in many ways – you have learned so much and shaken out a lot of the excess baggage, but it comes with its own challenges, too. Aging parents, aging self, teenagers, etc.. I’m not sure it helps to pretend it doesn’t or that turning 50 automatically makes you wise about all aspects of your life. Certain things can still put me right back in 6th grade, though maybe I snap out of it faster now.
    She looks beautiful.

  16. Cece says:

To me, she is one of the original ice queens, and I’ve always liked her. Her body is amazing. I do think she looks like she’s had work done, and of course there is photoshop, but all in all she’s pretty darn well-preserved.

  17. Talie says:

Her aging well is definitely attributed to great bone structure. I’m glad she never felt the need for fillers… it looks so bad.

  18. Kerfuffles says:

At least in these excerpts, she didn’t say she’s never had plastic surgery. She just said she hasn’t has a face lift. She could’ve still had her eyes done or a neck lift or a forehead lift. And I think it’s pretty clear she’s had her boobs done.

And so what if she has? She looks fantastic. Fantastic at any age. And she doesn’t condemn plastic surgery in this article–she’s in fact very pro-plastic surgery as long as you don’t disfigure yourself with it, which she clearly hasn’t.

As for her cheekbones comment, I just turned 41 and made the same observation about myself: as I’ve been getting older, my roundish face has started thin out to give way to great cheekbones I never knew were there. And what’s wrong with being happy about that? Must women hate EVERY aspect of the aging process? I hate a dozen different ways getting older has transformed my body, but I’ll be damned if I’m not gonna be happy about my cheekbones.

Sharon Stone is totally full of herself, no doubt. I’ve read interviews of her talking about her “craft” and referencing “Bobby and Marty” (DeNiro and Scorcesse) that have made me give the world’s largest eyeroll.

But I can’t hate on her for this age & women-positive message in these excerpts. Or being confident about her “fabulous at 50” looks. Aging isn’t easy, especially in this culture for women. So yay for her for being positive about it.

  19. Madriani's Girl says:

I know there’s some photo-shopping going on but she is still gorgeous. Like Demi Moore, she got a superb plastic surgeon. Unlike Demi Moore, she knew when to stop. I’d kill to have her legs.

  20. Uzi says:

I met Sharon about five years ago and she was absolutely stunning. She was wearing very little makeup, had flawless skin and looked like a totally natural beauty. If she’s had work done it’s been done by the best cosmetic surgeon in the business.

  21. truthful says:

    I’ve always loved her confidence.

  22. Jen34 says:

This is the antithesis of the Kristin Scott Thomas piece from yesterday. I am Team Stone on the aging issue. Even if she is bat s**t crazy.

  23. Nicolette says:

She looks ah-maz-ing!!!! The pic in the black dress is stunning. Does anyone know what the ‘cheekbones’ reference is about?

  24. Dlo says:

Funny, I don’t remember that giant forehead during her movie making days. You could have a picnic on that forehead. Maybe someone face lifted her in her sleep….

  25. Rachel says:

After what she say about my country after a earthquake years ago, I lost all respect to her. Sharon Stone I hope you burn in hell!

    • Nerd Alert says:

Okay, I didn’t know about that but I just looked it up. What a dumb biotch! Just like that pastor guy who said superstorm Sandy was God’s anger about gays or abortions or some such nons. Morons.

    • Hakura says:

I hadn’t heard about that, either. Wow… I was taken aback, she honestly sounded like a 5 year old in those comments… Couldn’t decide whether to help China’s Earthquake victims because ‘China isn’t nice to Tibet’ or her ‘good friend’ the Dalai Lama… But ‘sometimes you just have to put your head down & be of service…’

I never cared for her before, but now… Ugh.

  26. Diana says:

She’s a student of Marianne Williamson. I respect that. I’d have loved it so much more if she had given her a shout out in the interview as these ideas are not new, novel or original.

  27. Nerd Alert says:

I think she looks pretty damn good, but I’m no photoshop expert, either. Truth be told, I couldn’t pick her out of a lineup from other gorge blondes until a few years ago. She’s very pretty but so, so generic looking.

I have to say I hate hate HATE it when people try and make “truth” subjective. It’s not. Certain things happen or exist, and they are true, and it is objective. Other things are perceptions or beliefs or opinions or judgments, but they are not “truths,” they are subjective in nature. You don’t have to know subjective/objective definitions to know this.

She and LieAnn and RiRi sound so, so stupid when they talk like that.

  28. the artful dodger says:

I think what she said can be misconstrued but honestly… I’ve seen her shopping before. She looked like a midget troll to me. She’s barely 5 feet, didnt brush her overly-processed hair and looked quite wrinkly. She was also kind of rude.

  29. AlexC says:

I happen to know the plastic surgeon who did her first eye job in her late 30’s in San Francisco. She’s had tons of work done. It’s really sad when high profile actresses go out of their way to lie about never touching their faces. It just feeds the unhealthy expectations for everyone.

    • Becky1 says:

I agree. I think she looks great but I really wish she’d be honest about what she’s had done. Even if she just gets Botox and microdermabrasion I wish she’d be truthful. I find it hard to believe that she hasn’t at least gotten Botox.

    • Kerfuffles says:

Did you read the post? She didn’t say she’d never had plastic surgery. She just said she’s never had a face lift. And she was quite adamant that she was pro-plastic surgery

  30. Fue McCormick says:

Sharon Stone is actually 55 … and while these photos are airbrushed to make her look 35, she still looks pretty damned good.

  31. Bijlee says:

Even at this age her beauty, her lack of (obvious) plastic surgery, and her sex life and what she feels about sex are what magazines ask her about. She’s still valuable because of her looks. Fine she’s aging naturally, but the way they’ve said it, it’s as if it’s somehow unnatural for her to be so beautiful. And then the photoshop.

    I don’t know. I don’t find this interesting. What’s she even promoting????

    Edit: Ohhhh…Lovelace.

  32. Raquel says:

Bleh. I was over that bitch the day she said that thousands of kids brought being crushed to death in their schools on themselves during the Sichuan earthquake because of China’s Tibet policy.

  33. mar says:

    HOLY HOTNESS!!!!

  34. Hakura says:

I just have trouble *ever* judging how ‘good’ someone really looks. Photoshop could make Quasimodo look like a supermodel.

I just never cared for her, & always thought she came across arrogant. So I guess that always affects how I see her.

    • Lauren says:

I saw Sharon on Law and Order SVU. Her face looked very taut. Still hot though. Acting was impressive too. Her arrogance is overwhelming, but maybe that is why she has survived in Hollywood for so long..she is fearlessly smug and overbearing.

  35. april says:

She’s on Kelly & Michael daytime show on 8/2 (fri.) and Jimmy Kimmel on 8/5 according to “Late Nite Lineups” website.

I think she looks amazing and better than most younger women. Good for her. I would like to know if she takes HGH (human growth hormone). Good for her for whatever she is doing!

  36. user00005 says:

She has the most amazing bone structure and a perfectly proportionate body. She has never given birth. Tall, lean yet curvy in an understated way. She had breast implants, very obvious in BI 2, but I don’t know if she had them removed or not. No matter what, she looks dynamite.

People forget who this woman was: she was THE MOST BEAUTIFUL WOMAN of the 90s. Yeah, there were also the likes of Christy, Cindy, Stephanie Seymour, Kate Moss, Kim Basinger, Brooke Shields and Michelle Pfeiffer etc., but Sharon was like the female Brad Pitt: everyone compared the next ‘hot’ woman to her. Very much like Brad, she was always the other end of hot actor/actress comparisons. In fact, the only woman in the modern day Hollywood who I think is more alluring than what Sharon Stone was in her heyday is Angelina Jolie.

She was and is a beautiful woman, and I cannot fault her for being self-assured and self-possessed. Hollywood hasn’t been that kind to her after all – she is perceived as bit of a joke by the industry nowadays even if she is giving some of her best performances nowadays.

    • St says:

I was her fan back in the 90-th when I was a kid. She was so incredibly beautiful and bad ass and bossy.

I feel bad that she is kind of little crazy and that she does not get roles. Why she is not on our screens? There are so many actresses in their 40-50-th that get roles and awards nominations. Yet Demi Moore and Sharon Stone are absent from big screens. Even if they are descent actresses.

  37. St says:

Sharon Stone looks better then Lindsay Lohan and Nicole Kidman. There is nothing more to add. She is crazy. But she ages the best of them all.

I mean they can’t even photoshop Lohan to looks this good as Sharon does. She looks amazing even in paparazzi pictures.

  38. Dirty Martini says:

She is bat-$h!t crazy and I love her for it. She isn’t drinking/drugging/driving or putting anyone in physical harm. She doesn’t fall down drunk in public. She doesn’t pick public with her exes, or her exes current squeeze, and she doesn’t whore out her kids, She’s beautiful and full of herself.

    Carry on.

    • Jayna says:

      Awesome post.

    • april says:

I agree. She is dignified and beautiful; she absolutely owns her looks, she has “presence.” It’s refreshing when someone shows true elegance and grace and as you said not falling down drunk or talking smack about others.

  39. Boxy Lady says:

Whatever work she has had done is not overly obvious. To me, she does not look a lot different than she used to. The movie Irreconcilable Differences was on TV not too long ago. I think that was her big movie debut. The biggest difference was her hair was a lot darker but she looks pretty much the same as she does now. Watching the movie, I didn’t have a “slap in the face” moment like you do with other people who have had the obvious surgery when you think,”Awww man! THAT’s what they used to look like! I had forgotten!”

  40. Jayna says:

I just saw her on a show being interviewed on Inside Edition or the Insider a minute ago. Without photoshop she looks great and beautiful for her age but looks older than 40 and some lines.

I admired that in her role in Deep throat role she definitely looks older and frumoy for the role. She said something in the interview I loved. She said people in their forties should stop referring to themselves as and trying to be girls and boys and strive to be women and men and embrace it and acquire some grace in this second half of their life. She said it better. I’m paraphrasing, but I loved what she said. I wish I had it taped.

  41. Cirque28 says:

Many people are as self-focused but it’s about their misery, their complaints, their worries for the future. Somehow we find that more forgivable than being selfish and cheerful.

Sharon swans around being glamorous and fearless and a bit kooky– I’d freaking love to have her attitude at her age! She certainly seems to enjoy her life. I hope she maintains it and at 80 is still haughty and fabulous.

  42. purpleunicorn says:

Its not just “some” photoshopping here. Its quite a lot. Very obvious, too.
