Some of Twihards didn’t want to believe it a few days ago, but it’s looking more and more confirmed by the day: Robert Pattinson is dating Dylan Penn, daughter of Sean Penn and Robin Wright. Rob is 27 years old, Dylan is 22. Rob is only a few months out of the biggest relationship he’s had thus far, and Dylan… well, I don’t know anything about Dylan. Some sites speculated that Sparkles might have been juggling a few different ladies, because he was photographed in the company of a spandex-clad brunette – go here to see those photos. That woman’s name is Sydney Liebes and she’s a personal trainer. I looked at those photos earlier this week and I just thought… WTF? Why are those pics even a story? It just looked like Rob was photographed with his trainer. And as sources now confirm to People Mag, that’s exactly what it was:
Has Robert Pattinson found a new leading lady? Four months after splitting up with on-again, off-again girlfriend Kristen Stewart, the actor, 27, has been linked to model Dylan Penn.
“They’ve been dating a month or two,” a Pattinson source confirms to PEOPLE. “He’s crazy about her.”
The blonde beauty, 22, has quite the Hollywood pedigree: She’s the daughter of Sean Penn and Robin Wright.
According to media reports, Pattinson and Penn were spotted on Sept. 7 catching a show by rapper Mickey Avalon at the famed Viper Room in Los Angeles. They then reportedly hightailed it to the Chateau Marmont for post-show drinks and bites.
Speculation has been swirling about whom Pattinson would date next following his split with Stewart. He was also recently seen with trainer Sydney Liebes outside Harley Pasternak’s gym, where she works. But a second source shoots down any insinuation that the two are an item, telling PEOPLE that “Pattinson has trained with Liebes a few times in Harley’s absence and that’s it.”
In May, Pattinson and Stewart, 23, called it quits after more than three years of dating, their relationship having weathered intense strain and scrutiny following her fling with her married Snow White and the Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders.
The two had attempted to patch things up following her cheating scandal, attending Coachella and celebrating her 23rd birthday together before ultimately calling things off. On May 21, Pattinson was seen moving his belongings out of Stewart’s Los Angeles home.
So, that’s what People Mag had to say. And Gossip Cop doesn’t have anything. Which means that Rob doesn’t care if we know that he’s dating Dylan Penn and that he’s not dating his trainer. That’s what I’m getting from People, the official publicist-approve gossip.
So, Rob has an official girlfriend now and she’s pretty and American and she’s second-generation Hollywood (third generation if you consider Sean Penn’s father Leo Penn, a writer/director/actor blacklisted by the House on Un-American Activities Committee). Dylan’s pedigree is WAY better than Kristen Stewart’s. And hopefully Dylan doesn’t bang married directors in Mini Coopers either.

Sean Penn, Robin Wright and their daughter were customers at my job around the time he was up for the Oscar for Mystic River. There daughter was stunning even back then (and taller than her father). Those are not injections. They are her real lips.

Why do they have to keep pushing these chicks like Riley Keough, Ireland Baldwin, Rumer Willis and now Dylan Penn down our throats? Pedigree means NOTHING, in fact its much more irksome when the sole reason for their exposure and existence is due to nepotism and nothing else, absolutely no substance behind them. I have never heard of Dylan Penn until a few days ago, unlike those other people you listed. It doesn’t really seem like she was pursuing some big Hollywood career or attempting to put herself out there so much – or was she and I am just unaware?
This girl isn’t being “pushed” into anyone’s face. She’s dating someone…not being heralded as a future Oscar winner or something. Such bitterness.
How do you know if Kristen is “better” or not? Noone knows anything about Dylan. She might be a sweetheart, she might be a brat. Who knows?
Also, beauty isn’t the only thing a guy looks at. Beautiful girls are a dime a dozen in Hollywood. And being famous doesn’t make someone better than someone who isn’t (often, it’s exactly the opposite).
Maybe this girl is smart, kind, funny or easy going. Maybe she has interesting plans for her future. Maybe she is talented – an artist, a musician, whatever. We don’t have a clue. So why slam the poor girl when you don’t know a thing about her? It looks like Robert found something interesting in her, so more power to her.

For the people who are getting upset over the fact that I dared to bring looks into the picture: I was reacting to the article’s general tone which was suggesting why this is such an optimal match, citing Dylan’s pretty, american LOOKS and PEDIGREE.
I didn’t say a word about her personality, ambitions, etc (in fact I only shared my view on Kristen which wasn’t positive) I was merely pointing out that bringing pedigree into the picture is quite bothersome and a general pet peeve of mine(nepotism in Hollywood), and if we are really going to get into looks, Kristen IS objectively more beautiful/feminine.

She’s not on some TV show her father produced like Tori Spelling. She’s not on some dopey reality show like Francesca Eastwood. The nepotism comments are unwarranted. Michael Douglass, Angelina Jolie, Sophia Coppola, Robin Thicke, Rashida Jones, and Alexander Skarsgard,hell even Miley Cyrus, are all children of actor/celebs and have done very well for themselves. I am not questioning the truth of this at all, but the wording is so weird. The Pattinson “source” says he is “crazy about her”. It’s probably good he is confirming that they are dating, but it seems odd that Rob would tack on the part about being crazy about her. Very big change for him, if he is putting that extra out there.
Maybe he doesn’t want to hide anymore. The are they or aren’t they game with Kristen was so stupid. I’m sure Rob is a more straight forward guy who simply couldn’t care less if people know anything about his life. Kristen often implied that us peasants were not worthy of knowing about her mysterious and awesome secret life and that’s why she never wanted to ~reveal anything. I disagree, I think he hates that people want to know everything about his private life. It’s intrusive and it he knows it actually hurts his career and ability to disappear into a character onscreen. That’s why I don’t get the comment in People- confirming the dating is one thing, but the “crazy about her” thing is very odd coming from him. But People hasn’t pulled the article or changed it, so I guess Rob must not be objecting to it.

well, Pattz definitely graduated from a rather good and posh high school. But he never bothered as much as doing his homework, so upon graduation his grades were low and he was not accepted anywhere. He told all this in his Twilight’s interviews. Anyway, after school he lived on his own off his Harry Potter’s funds and then got Twilight.

Not true about Rob’s grades. He did well enough. His father felt he wasn’t taking school seriously, but Rob wanted to complete so he paid his tuition for his final year out of his own pocket. He took his A-levels and got one A and two Bs.

On a side note, I met Robin in Marin County years ago, and she was very nice. I was living in a small town and headed through the Rite Aid checkout counter with some cold meds and a pack of wine coolers (YEARS ago!!), and she was lovely and beautiful. I had just moved to town with my then kindergarten aged son and she recommended one of the BEST kid parks (in CA) ever – Memorial Park in San Anselmo.

Not actually. They said Rob and Katy spent a weekend with friends at a rancho. There was some dating speculation but Rob’s team didn’t say anything and soon Katy reunited with John Mayer, that’s it.

I don’t think any of this is hurting his image, actually helping it after the way his image took a hit after last summer. He has played this all pretty well. He left CM last night with the trainer girl and a group of friends. This is all great for gossip and I’m eating it up. Again, good on him! I read an article on her the other day, and she’s basically a college drop out with a modeling career that makes Ireland Baldwin look like Cindy Crawford. Honestly thought he would have dated someone with an actual career, like Nina Dobrev or an actual real model like Karlie Kloss.

There’s nothing wrong with that sort of lifestyle, but it’s something that he seemed to pontificate against in the past. I also thought he would have been dating some indie singer type or a legitimate actress or that sort of thing. But leaving out the People piece as a sign that he is serious, he probably is looking to have some fun and not be super intense so a hot blonde 22 year old would make sense.

I always get the impression these last few months since the split that RP had his dick in a sling when he was playing edward + KS was his partner or not. Anyway it looks like he’s getting enough now and is happy. His body energy seems so free and joyful now.
