Brandon and Kelly Blackstock from Weiss Eubanks Films on Vimeo.
Singer Kelly Clarkson got married for the first time over the weekend, to a handsome divorcee named Brandon Blackstock. Kelly shared some beautiful photos of her wedding, which was a very small, intimate affair in Tennessee that she called an elopement. The couple married in Tennessee under a covered bridge, with just a few people in attendance including Blackstock’s children from his previous marriage. (Kelly has called Brandon’s 12 year-old daughter and 6 year-old son her kids, essentially, but that’s another story. I do wonder if their mother is still in their lives, as that would make a difference.)
Well now we now just how small Kelly’s wedding was, because she’s posted a brief wedding video. Everything looks so romantic and intimate, and you can tell tat she wasn’t kidding about eloping. There was hardly anyone there, which makes it all the more special that she’s sharing her wedding video with us. Kelly explained before the wedding that her work schedule and the level of stress involved made it hard to schedule a big wedding. Kelly and Brandon are planning on having a party later so friends and family can share in their happy moment.
People Magazine has the detail that the wedding was held at a place called Blackberry Farm. I checked out their website and they have entire houses with several bedrooms that guests can rent for complete privacy. It all looks so romantic, especially the fall country setting.
I hope this is the start of a lifetime of happiness for Kelly and Brandon. She seems to have waited until she found the right one, and now she’s got a whole little family.
I wonder if Kelly is changing her name professionally to “Blackstock.” The video refers to “Brandon and Kelly Blackstock,” but I’m assuming she’ll still go by “Clarkson” as she has a whole brand built up around it.
Beautiful. Just beautiful.
It was really nice. I’m not romantic at all, but I liked this.
Brandon Blackstock sounds like a GoT character.
Everything looks just so gorgeous! I would love to have that dress for my wedding.
Spooks, you’re right! That totally does sound like a GoT name!! 🙂
She looks beautiful, I love her dress. I think I’m more curious to see if she’ll change her genre rather than her name. I know she’s still dealing with all the same people, I just wonder if she’ll lean more toward Country, like Swifty reversed?
Sniff, sniff.
I’ve read reports that there were at least 20 ppl in attendance. Perhaps that was for the reception…or maybe they were also watching from behind the camera. I love that she picked a Patty Griffin song…btw Patty wrote that song with her dog in mind…she says it’s the only love song she’s ever written. 😉
Eh, she sold it all to People magazine, where’s all the shade others get for stuff like that?
I thought she looked really nice but I’m already over all the publicity she’s generating out of it.
She actually posted most, if not all, of this on Instagram and Twitter.
But she didn’t sell it to people, I thought? She released the pics herself and the short video as well, via twitter. If she had sold it to people, they would have handled the release of the pics, no? Isn’t that usually the point of those deals?
Moreover, the video was actually uploaded by someone else (the videographer I think). Classy move.
Looks like a beautiful little ceremony and a gorgeous place.
I too would imagine she’ll keep her professional name.
That dress is GORGEOUS!
I’m surprised she changed her last name professionally though… or did she?
I think she looked beautiful. I love her dress. It suits her to a T. I wish them both much happiness. 🙂
Wow, beautiful. I was a cynic and worried about her being taken advantage of but seeing that photo of him kissing her on the bridge made my cold heart melt a little. She looks really lovely and happy.
Eh, I’m glad you think so. I hope you’re right. I felt just the opposite when I saw the video. I felt like she was way more into him than he is into her. I hope I’m way wrong!
She made an absolutely beautiful bride and she seems very happy.
Love everything about this. Her dress, hair and hairpiece are just stunning and perfect on her.
She looks gorgeous. I love her dress! And her hair.
Love her dress, the fall colors make a perfect backdrop, we used to go to Tennessee this time of the year when I was a kid.
I’m a wedding photographer, and I work with a fair amount of wedding videographers. This looks like standard, good wedding videography. That’s just what it looks like these days! Obviously different videographers have different styles…. But I’ve worked with some whose work reminds me of this video.
Gorgeous setting. Gorgeous dress. Happy for her. Wish her all the best.
When I first glanced at the wedding photo I thought it was Carrie Underwood
I get the impression she wanted a grander affair. I think he pushed back against it as he has already been down the wedding/marriage route before and has kids. Most of my friends that are on the second time around have done small beach weddings or justice of the peace.
Was he already separated/divorced when he met her? I can’t imagine ever having full trust and faith in someone who was in a committed relationship who then took up with me.
I wish nothing but the best for her.

Comments on the article say they know the ex and that he stepped out on her on the regular. Fingers crossed for you Kelly but… eesh.
I’m worried, too. He kind of seems like a sleaze to me for some reason. I just adore her, and I truly hope that things work out.
Still, and I don’t know why, but my gut is saying no bueno.
omg! Me too, I have a bad feeling about this one.. poor kelly.
I also have a bad feeling about Seth Meyers recent nuptials too.
Sadly, same here. I don’t wish it, though. But I’ve felt an “icky” feeling about him (Brandon) for the longest. And I know nothing about it. So, I hope my gut is off on this one.
yikes me too! love Kel but my spidey sense is tingling 🙁 Wgen she pulled back on her dream wedding and cited a too-hectic schedule as the reason I shook my head in dismay.
nothing strange. event videographers often call themselves production companies for increased. market ability professionalism and some indication of their skill level. they have to stay one step ahead of the starving craigslist videographer and your cheap Uncle Stan who just found the video capture button on his iphone.
It’s been said, that he cheated on his first wife. If it’s true, I bet that’s one thing he ain’t ever gonna tell Kelly.
