These are some photos of Ryan Reynolds at a Boss cologne event in Madrid yesterday. When I saw the thumbnail for this set, I thought “Ryan doesn’t really want to be there, does he?” He looked kind of over it, and like he wasn’t up for his promotional duties. Then I viewed all the photos and saw that Ryan really loosened up taking pics with fans, it’s cute.
Ryan has never really done it for me, but I do like to see him in interviews. He’s too clever by half and he talks a good game. Ryan definitely has that in common with his new wife now that I think about it. Both Ryan and Blake are confident fast-talkers who can tell an interesting story.
I really don’t like his hair here. It’s too short, he looks goofy to me with this close-cropped helmet hair. (See these pics from a few months ago. He looks better there, right?) It’s possible this hair is for a role. Ryan only had three movies out this year, his career has really slowed down. He did voice roles in The Croods and Turbo and was in that awful bomb, R.I.P.D., with Jeff Bridges. Next year he has at least three movies coming out and is working on two more, so things are picking up for him. He’s currently filming Selfless in New Orleans, with Sir Ben Kingsley and Matthew Goode. Maybe Ryan’s slower career is the reason he’s doing gigs for cologne, and/or maybe Blake convinced him to do it. She’s the face of Gucci perfume after all.
While in Spain, Ryan appeared on talkshow El Hormiguero. We also have some pics from that. The Daily Mail has more details about Ryan’s appearance, it looks like he had a great time. He’s definitely better looking in motion.
Also, how tall is Ryan, damn?! He looks massive compared to El Hormiguero host, Pablo Motos. Google says he’s just 6’2″ tall. According to IMDB, Motos is about 5’6″, so that explains it.

He always looks goofy to me but he seems like a fun, chill guy so I can’t hate.
I think he and Blake make sense on a lot of levels.
The goofiness is the charm.
Have you seen his interview on Chatty Man (Alan Carr)? I changed my mind about him after that, he was spontaneously funny and very entertaining to watch. The banter was so fast that many great lines didn’t even get picked up on.

Alan Carr is brilliant and Ryan is one of the few actors I’ve seen who can keep up with him. He was hilarious on Top Gear recently as well.
He’s always been great fun in interviews. He’s got a quick wit, self deprecating sense of humour and he doesn’t take himself too seriously.
He doesn’t do it for me either but the pics are cute.
I can’t help it… I’ve loved Ryan since 2 Guys, a girl, & a Pizza Place. Yes, I hate myself for it. But even I’ll admit, he looks aged here.
There used to be so many stories about him being a douche to fans and crew members, but since he got with UnLively he seems to have gotten nicer. Good for him.
I like Ryan Reynolds, although I’m amazed at the fact that he keeps getting “big” work considering the amount of high profile, mainstream, easy sell films that he has been in that have bombed. I hope he gets some success with his new films. He seems like a good sport and he’s a decent actor imo.
I can never warm up to Ryan Reynolds, especially after he got married to Blake Lively, whom sometimes annoys me but I like nevertheless. Maybe because I think he is kinda overrated or something? I cannot put my finger on it.
I love Ryan, think he is funny, talented and charming but I hear what you are saying. I think he is better suited for TV comedies and not leading man movie roles.
I think he’s a really versatile, underrated actor. He’s given wonderful performances in several films that not many have seen, like Buried (every bit as gut wrenching as Gravity on a fraction of the budget) and The Nines (with Melissa McCarthy, who can also do drama as well as comedy).
I think he’s suited for anything that’s not loaded with a bad script, terrible CGI, or a neon green costume. 😉
I seriously cannot hate the guy. I mean, he made Just Friends. And I love that movie – it’s so weird!
I LOVE Just Friends!! You’re right, it is weird.. But sooo funny. Ryan Reynolds was great in that one.
Yes! I will stop what I’m doing to watch that movie, Anna Farris and him are so funny…
I don’t mind him I actually like him in comedies. The only thing that annoys me about him is his wife, I don’t get the hype
Forgiveness is more than saying sorry!
I like Ryan Reynolds smarmy Van Wilder personality. He’s a smoothie who could fast talk my panties into dropping anytime!
He was the best thing in Blade 3. Well… just after Parker Posey.
He’s been the face of Hugo Boss for awhile now, and he just finshed filming his third of four movies in a row. A lot of actors have signed up to pitch designer fragrances, clothes, makeup, jewelry, etc. The fragrance ads always make me laugh. So dramatic lol… Boss is one of my favourites, though. 😉
I’ll never understand the dislike/hate that RR gets. He seems harmless, and is cute, funny and has a great bod (seriously he needs to take his shirt off more..). I don’t even dislike him and Blake together. They make much more sense as a couple then he did with any of his other exes IMO.
