Given what we know now about Johnny “Scarfy” Depp’s midlife crisis, doesn’t it make you reevaluate those stories about Depp and Angelina Jolie on the set of The Tourist. Many assumed Jolie was flirting with and encouraging Johnny to be “bad.” In retrospect… they seem to have had a pleasant working relationship, and Johnny saw something in Angelina that he wanted with his next partner, Amber Heard. Heard has been actively trying to Single White Female Angelina for a few years now. It seems like Depp’s publicity team is even encouraging the comparisons too. But what does Angelina think of this midlife crisis mess? Angelina to Scarfy: “Protect your assets because that little hussy is going after your money!”
TWICE-divorced ANGELINA JOLIE is giving romance advice to old pal JOHNNY DEPP – warning him he may be making a big mistake marrying Amber Heard.
The 38-year-old Oscar winner has pleaded with Depp to “tread carefully” with his reported plans to walk down the aisle with the 27-year-old Texas blonde, and cautioned him to get an iron-clad pre-nup to protect his $350 million fortune, say sources.
Angie is worried that the 50-year-old superstar is going through a midlife crisis and has become enchanted with the much-younger actress.
“She’s concerned he’s been swept off his feet by Amber’s charms,” said a mutual friend, who added that Angie is worried about Amber’s motives.
Both Angelina and Brad Pitt became good friends with Johnny and his then-girlfriend Vanessa Paradis, 41, while Angie was filming “The Tourist” with Depp in 2010.
“Angie and Vanessa got on really well and would regularly arrange play dates with their kids, so Angie will always have a sense of loyalty to her,” said a close source.
Ironically, Amber, an admitted bisexual, has made no secret of her admiration for Angelina, describing her as an “inspiration” for being open about her own bisexual past, but the source says her comments aggravated Angelina even more.
“Angie hates it when someone talks about her publicly, regardless of how good or bad it is,” said the source. “Both Brad and Angie were disappointed in her and now they’re worried she’s after fame and fortune and that Johnny’s jumping in way too fast.
“Angie just wants her friend to be sure he’s making the right decision.”
If Angelina refuses to acknowledge the likes of Chelsea Handler, what in the world would she have to say about the Megan Foxes and Amber Heards of the world, the Budget Jolies who try to SWF The Leg of Doom and The Tattoos of Seduction? I have no idea if Angelina even knows who Amber heard is, or if Jolie could pick her out of a line-up (Amber Heard is not very memorable, right?). Or maybe I’m wrong. Maybe Depp and Jolie are still friends and Angelina has met Amber and…? What? What would Angelina’s impression be? That Amber is a Leg-stealing hussy? Or would Angelina see a younger version of herself? Who knows.

The thing that Angelina supposedly did was not talk to Stacey on a 45 minute flight……which, that’s how you interpret it. I have an uncle who has a new girlfriend almost every time you see him. I only bother to know the names of the ones that I’ve seen at least twice. George C. is the same—plus, it’s not like he and Brad vacation in Italy together–they’ve said that they’re work friends. Especially since you know that they spent more time at awards shows together, than actually spending private time together as two couples.
I don’t think Angie for one moment spends her time judging relationships or others. Afterall, her relationships all seem somehow unconventional. She is now in a longterm committed relationship with a man she met on set who was married. And we all know about the other rumors of homewreckery and blood vials and age difference and more. If anything she probably is indifferent to the situation since she knows firsthand how no one knows what really goes on behind closed doors.

He pretty much dominated mid- to late 90s and continues to work a lot. He is extremely talented as an actor, director AND writer, something that is easily forgotten when he’s referred to as ‘ex-husband of’. Like he was just some loser that Jolie dragged along?
Sling Blade is a masterpiece and showcases all the reasons why BBT gets to work 3-4 films a year since the 90s. Plus he’s a good singer too. He easily beats Jolie in the talent department but she brought him recognition. Sure he’s fugly and Jolie dumped him but his filmography and artistic accomplishments in general are easily are worth more than being a box office darling. He worked so much that I don’t doubt that he’s worth more than we think.

When I listened to the album that had the ‘Angelina’ song, I really liked it. His voice, the songs. I’m pretty eclectic when it comes to music.
That said, I can’t for the life remember any of the songs besides the Angelina one (maybe when I listen to it again, it will jog my memory) so I guess that’s a negative. He isn’t memorable as a singer.

I agree, even in general–as long as you aren’t trying to whitewash your past, while giving advice, then have at it. I would rather hear someone else’s mistakes and how it affect them, than to hear how they were perfect angels who never did anything wrong (and especially to find out later that that was a lie)….I have an aunt like that. After she got married and started going to church, then it became that she NEVER did anything wrong—she had two kids with two different guys before she got married, and told her two older daughters that she’d only had sex TWICE before getting married…yeah.

This woman is super busy doing photoshoot for magazines and preparing for promotional tours of maleficent, she is busy editing unbroken, taking care of six kids and her patner Brad and also busy with her humanitarian work and preparing for a conference with world leaders in June! I doubt she has that time for trival issues that doesn’t concern her.. Plus I don’t see Angie as someone who meddles in other people’s matter she is always minding her business and doesn’t even reply people who say negative things about her just to get her attention!

I’ve always doubted that Depp and Angelina were even friends. I’m sure they got along well enough to do the crappy movie, but if you look at their priorities and interviews, they’re very different people. They also didn’t exhibit any kind of chemistry (physical, intellectual, emotional, etc…) during any of the film follow-up. This story sounds made up to me.
I do remember reading an interview with Depp shortly after the movie came out, saying the two families got together for dinners, etc. I think they probably had a friendly co-worker type relationship, but nothing more than that.

Johnny Depp looked so uncomfortable, akward and cold with her, that he couldn’t fake how much he disliked to be around her. Also, comments from some other of the actors – the guy that was the villian in the movie- said that Angelina and Johnny couldn’t be more different as person. Angelina was very diva with her entourage and with Brad all the time. Meanwhile Depp was very humble, friendly and approachable.
Give me this story with Penelope Cruz (she is Johnny’s friend) or Helena Bonham-Carter and MAYBE (maybe) I’d believe that one of them would want to give their opinion to Johnny (even if i doubt they try to interfere on his personal life) but Angelina?!! AHAHAHAHAHA! NO!

I am not sure Amber is in it for the money, but she is in it most certainly for the fame. The other day I stumbled upon an anti-Amber website called Jambernews. It is a bit hysterical in its anti-Amber propaganda. But it did give a very detailed description of the way Amber has apparently been scheming to ‘land’ Johnny Depp from before she played her part in the Rum Diaries (2009). If all of it is true, she must be a very calculating person and very hungry for fame… and I do get that vibe from her. Now she acts all coy with the press, but she apparently used to call the paps all the time when she was still with Tasya von Ree.

It is such an antiquated idea, left over from film noir, that women are these manipulative sirens that lead men to ruin. Angelina must be in really good with the universe. She is so perfect looking. Again, Johnny was in town after my father passed away, much like when I met him 2 days after my mother passed. I’m not even 40 yrs old yet folks.
I joked that the man could sense when one of my parents has passed away. I love Johnny always for what he did for our family when my mother passed. I promise you, he is one of the sweetest human beings, and he actually gives a shit about others. If he is happy, I am happy.
