  1. Lady D says:

Yes, please. Stop throwing shoes or anything else at her. Some people just have no class whatsoever.

    • blue marie says:

      Agreed, that’s ridiculous.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Agree. I can’t stand her, but that is inexcusable.

      • Belle Epoch says:

I’m wondering if the shoe thrower is mentally off. If she was trying to make a point, she did not succeed. Are they purposely keeping her agenda out of media reports to discourage nutjobs from trying to advance their causes by throwing things?

    • V4Real says:

It’s so stupid and so imitative. A few years ago a man threw his shoe at former President George W. Bush.

      • FLORC says:

To throw a shoe at someone is a high insult in some cultures. Just like throwing tomatoes is common in others.

This though..Just a copycat looking for attention.

  2. Jo says:

That was so disrespectful. I hope she was arrested.

  3. lower-case deb says:

one shoe? that’s not going to do anyone any good!

    throw a pair, at least.

    balls!!

  4. Sara says:

I think the bigger picture is why does everyone feel so threatened by her? Is it because she is a woman? I find it interesting that all the Dems got with Obama over Hilary in 2008. I think she would have been a much better president. Sexism is still alive and well.

    • wtf says:

That isn’t sexism because people chose a different candidate. I am a woman and I chose Obama over Hillary because I felt like both of them would be great leaders, but I was worried about what a lightning rod Hillary was for the right. Their hatred of her was irrational. Which in my mind meant that it would be damn near impossible for her to win in the general election.

      • Kay V says:

If not sexism against Hilary, then why is it racism if someone disagrees with the president?

      • skeksis says:

That worked out well, lol. Obama totally isn’t a lightning rod for the right.

      • msw says:

It’s not, and it isn’t. Strawman. Fail.

      • vangroovey says:

Kay V — It’s not racism if someone disagrees with Obama. The right tries to turn it into that (yes, the right), but no, it’s not.

    • Side-Eye says:

Because people maybe having issues with her policies is simply because she’s a woman. Oh no there aren’t any criticism folls might have about her politics it’s simply because she’s a woman. And people never threw shoes wt Bush either and Obama has never been harshly criticised.
Girl what the hell is this comment?

    • jane16 says:

      ^^^^^^^^

    • msw says:

no. Don’t bring this crap up again. There was enough of that BS in 2008. I am woman who voted for Obama and not Hillary because I liked his policies better. that does not make me a gender traitor and had nothing to do with her being a woman. I would have voted for her if I thought she would have done a better job than Obama.

      • decorative item says:

Thank you! We should not vote on the colour of skin, gender, political party preference, hair style etc. The candidate’s policy should be the only influence.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I don’t think her losing to Obama was because she was female. She’s a very polarizing figure. I’m fairly liberal and I would never vote for her because I think she’s dishonest. And I would love to see a woman become president, but I’d rather it be one who came up on her own, not on her husband’s coat tails. I think she will probably win the nomination this time, and I honestly don’t know what I will do.

      • Delta Juliet says:

I know people say she rode on Billy’s coattails, but my personal opinion is she is the real brains in the couple. Her brains and his charm won those elections..

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I meant that she skipped straight from First Lady to Senator without ever having held an elected public office, which she never could have done without him. I don’t like her, but I agree with you that she is very intelligent.

      • TG says:

I worried to @Goodnamesalltaken- I feel the same about Hilary as you do. I may be naive but I have always gotten the feeling that she is way too calculating and I think that a president should be someone not afraid to make a decision that might cost them political points.

      • Isabelle says:

Exactly @Delta, Bill owes part of his success to Hilary. She’s the brains, he’s the charm.

    • Dommy Dearest says:

      Benghazi.

    • TG says:

I picked Obama over Hilary for the simple fact that she voted for the war and he had the courage not to while they were both Senators. However, throwing anything at Hilary or at Former President Bush is disrespectful and since I am rather militant in my views I wonder why the secret service didn’t shoot the perps dead in site.

      • Tiffany says:

TG. I saw a still on another sight and there was a SS behind her read to draw his pistol. But the people on the ground had it covered. But dollars to donuts it that girl got any closer there would have been a different outcome and parents would have been burning a child.

      • Cazzee says:

Just FYI, Obama didn’t vote against the Iraq war. He gave a very eloquent speech against it, but he did not vote against it because he couldn’t – he wasn’t in the U.S. senate – at that point he was still an Illinois state senator.

    • kibbles says:

Absolutely agree with your assessment. I think Hillary would have been a much better president than Obama. His appeal was that he didn’t have baggage; he was a clean slate that people put their hopes and dream on. However, he has shown himself to be a very ineffective president who concedes to the conservatives time and time again. He has charisma but she had more experience, better domestic policies and a plan to fix the economy and fight for women and children. I hope she runs for president again.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I agree that there are people who wouldn’t vote for a woman, just as there are people who wouldn’t vote for a person of color. I just don’t think that’s why she lost, this woman in this case. I didn’t mean to dismiss the notion that sexism is alive and well.

    “STOP POOPING”

    • lucy2 says:

Was that not one of the best moments of the whole show? I never liked Rob Lowe, but that moment kind of changed my mind. And now to learn he improved it..nicely done, sir.

    • Kiddo says:

Yeah, that was pretty funny and he was funny in that interview too.

    • Erinn says:

You don’t even know how hard I cracked up just now. My nearest co-worker came over, and immediately started laughing as well.

  6. Tiffany says:

So this twit did not realize that she was committing assault against a former FLOTUS and SOS. If Clinton’s SS detail would have taken that girl down, it would have been epically funny. Like when Donna slammed Leslie for shooting her Benz on Parks and Rec. That funny.

  7. BizzyB says:

I am not a Hilary supporter, but I do respect her. This was so disrespectful to her as a person and her position is politics. So rude.

  8. Eileen says:

Mrs.Clinton handled that far better than me I would have broken out my can of whoop ass if I were her!

  9. LaurieH says:

I didn’t vote Obama, because I don’t like his policies. Not because he’s black. I wouldn’t vote for Hillary, because I don’t like her policies. Not because she’s a woman. While I actually really like the idea that we elected our first African American president and would LOVE to see a woman elected President, I just happen to wish it were peope whose policies I agreed with more. No hate on either of them; they’re both just doing what they believe in. I just happen to believe differently. Not the end of the world. Just more of the world going around.

    • TG says:

The problem is @Lauriah is many of us can’t stand either the Repubs or the Dems but I end up feeling helpless to effect change if I vote for an alternate party member so I just pick the person I can stomach the most out of the Republicans and democrats. I agree with Jesse Ventura when he said whoever is running for office should wear a Nascar like suit with names of all the people and groups paying for him so that we can see who as purchased this candidate.

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

I agree. I see myself as a fairly liberal to moderate person, and I have major issues with both parties. I think voting for a third party candidate is wasting your vote, so I end up choosing between two people I’m hesitant about, and every time I vote I feel a little sick.

      • LadySlippers says:

        TG,

Jesse Ventura had a lot of really good ideas in his books. The ‘sponsorship’ idea was one of many.

Too bad he doesn’t play well with the other children! (Most of my friends & family can’t stand how abrasive he is)

        GoodNames,

It’s hard even being interested in politics knowing how many have been bought and paid for. 🙁

I voted for Obama because there no passion in Clinton until she gave her concession speech. I wanted to vote for her but saw nothing that got me fired up until then. Bummed me out a lot. I actually really like her but I think that with politics as it is and with what a mess our country is in — not much will change regardless of who wins. Rather sad IMO.

  10. michele says:

I may not agree with everything she says but this is just rude.

  11. alh says:

It’s just too bad they missed

    • Esmom says:

Right. Because that’s a very constructive way to prove a point. What are you, a toddler?

  12. Pepsi Presents...Coke says:

Throwing shoes, how effective and what a great way to be taken seriously. Remember how those other politicians did an about-face with their policies because they had a Velcro epiphany? As much
As I disliked Bush, come on. You don’t throw shoes, especially at a president, that isn’t the way to voice dissent, it’s just stupid. It was stupid with W. Bush, it was stupid with Obama, it’s stupid with H. Clinton. Some people’s children, I don’t know.

  13. Crystal says:

Pft, Rob Lowe. Peter Dinklage’s AMA today is where it was at.

  14. Mojoman says:

The woman who threw the shoe has no Sole! *barumbatz*

  15. thinktank says:

I was on the fence of who I was going to vote until hillary started talking about, “im going to win the nomination because of white rural voters and bill stating “obama’s campaign is just like jessie jackson’campaign, he’s only going to get the aa vote. I was totally put off by that. If she runs I hope that she refrains from the “im the better president than obama” talk. I really want to vote for her this time around. So please keep the dirty politics aimed at the republicans.

    • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

Or maybe both sides could discuss the actual issues and leave dirty politics out all together? I was equally disgusted by both parties in the past election. I seriously am so discouraged.

      • LadySlippers says:

        Agreed.

I strongly dislike dirty politics but according to polls — it works. 🙁 So so sad.

Dahling, my island and a few cute boys and we can leave this mess behind. 😉

      • GoodNamesAllTaken says:

        So there, dahling.
