Beyonce posted this ^^ pic on her Instagram over the weekend. Beyond the joint statement issued by Beyonce, Jay-Z and Solange on Thursday, all of Beyonce’s personal “statements” have been via social media, through her Tumblr and Instagram accounts. The official message from the Hive is that all is well between the sisters. Page Six even says that Bey, Solange and Jay-Z were all out to eat in New Orleans this weekend too – Solange lives in NOLA, and Bey and Jay went down to visit her. They went to Café Amelie and hung out for two hours on Saturday. ALL IS WELL. Do not ask any other questions.
In fact, Bey and Jay are doing so well that they’re promoting their new summer tour, On the Run. This weekend they dropped a “trailer” called RUN, and they got some of their celebrity friends to do cameos. This is the craziest thing I’ve seen in a while. This might even be crazier than the video of Solange violently assaulting Jay-Z. This video is NSFW for stripper butt and language.
A few funny things:
*No matter what, Don Cheadle is incredibly watchable. Like, I could watch an hour’s worth of outtakes of Don and Jay just sitting there, talking sh-t.
*When did Sean Penn become down with the Beygency?!
*Blake Lively… OMG. Blake makes Beyonce look like Meryl Streep. And that’s funny because Beyonce is a terrible actress. How can someone so fierce on stage be so wooden on camera as she “acts”?
*Jake Gyllenhaal?! I know he jazzercises to “99 Problems,” but really?
*Emmy Rossum SHOT BEYONCE.
*The production value is really great, right? This probably cost more to make than most independent films.

Jay was quite good, maybe cause he is in his element. Sean Penn must have a lot of time on his hands.
Yeah, Jay was alright. But Bey? Gosh, she’s awful. I just kinda felt embarrassed for all of the real actors in that. And yes, Sean Penn? WTF? It felt very forced. Like I said, couldn’t even get through the whole thing!
I can’t believe Solange and Sean didn’t get together to discuss Important Topics like: “Elevator Violence-Pressing The STOP Button” or ” Hitting And Kicking In Small Spaces”. At this point, I’m thinking it’s Charlize who should be on the run. Dumbass.

So you really think that posting happy pics with Solange and releasing a trailer for their tour isn´t a strategy to shift focus from ugly fighting in an elevator to the upcoming tour? You must be really naive then.
I would say most people have moved on from that lift business. I havent seen much coverage if any at all after the statement tbh.
I actually like the Instagram strategy. Its hard for the tabloids to claim a fall out when the parties are posting each others photos. The relationships probably arent back to normal but its clear they are working on it. Either way, even I feel dirty snooping into that of all things.
Also, this trailer was clearly filmed awhile back. They ARE gearing up for a tour people. And trust me, whatever the timing, someone would still be muttering something about conspiracies. Me, I take this for what it is – a cheesy, fun trailer with some cool cameos.
Yeah it has high production value but what is the POINT of that?! Seriously. I need someone to carefully explain it to me because I’m lost.

Love the trailer, it could be an actual movie. Jay Z surprisingly didn’t seem so bad and Yes for the love of God its a toss up between Mariah and Beyonce’s acting. Terrible!
I reckon Mariah…it’s a tough one because Beyonce is soooo bad but ‘Glitter’ is an abomination. ‘Obsessed’ had Idris and Bey’s bad acting could never distract me from that fine specimen.

Blake Lively looks like an Oscar actress compared to Beyoncè. I really can’t explain how can Beyoncè be such a terrible actress.
Madonna is also very bad as an actress, my theory is that being a musician is such an individual thing that they can never abandon themselves completely in order to inhabit another character.
I think Cher was the only exception, although it is debatable whether she had the dimensions of Madge and Beyonce as a musician.
I see your point ,but i think the only reason people like Madonna, Mariah and Beyonce can’t fully embrace other characters in that their massive narcissist. Cher, Bette Midler,Diana Ross, Queen Latifah etc do decent jobs.

Mariah Carey in Wise Girls was awesome! She was hilarious. Horrible movie, but when she put her fake nailed fingers up the guys nose! So funny !
Madonna can’t disappear into a character. She is brilliant in her music videos because she loved the camera, but it never translated into acting because she was too aware of herself. In the movie with William Dafoe is where it’s the most evident Although, she was good in a handful of movies, like the Penny Marshal movie, a League of Their Own.
Yet she was great in her film noir videos, like Bad Girls, with Christopher Walken in it and directed by David Fincher, like a mini movie. No one has ever matched her in quality music videos. But what works for her in videos is her downfall in movies.

You know these tourss like most professional things have time lines and schedules right? This tour has been announced for months, and who knows also counting preparation and logistics. People need to stop throwing words around like ‘damage control, convenient timing, PR stunts.’ Some things are yes but not all! They have a tour in a week so of course there is going to be a promo roll out.

I don’t understand the point of having a film trailer for a CONCERT tour. Seems really ridiculous. I love Jay and Bey but this is a bit much. I guess this is what happens when you have a lot of money and have no clue what to do with it.

Awww… I love Rashida. I have a soft spot for her for some reason. Your description of Sean Penn is fantastic! Beyonce is very entertaining in concert, but she can definitely be robotic in interviews and is a terribly wooden actress (omg, remember Goldmember?) The concert stage is her element. I thought this trailer was great though, campy and ridiculous, but fun.

I get why Beyonce is wooden in interviews, she was raised to be that southern belle type (nobody sees it because she’s black but it’s true) that doesn’t show her real personality and calls everything a ‘blessing’ and was a pageant girl so she just smiles and nods at everything. Blake was so. completely. awful. Sean Penn and Don Cheadle’s talents made the scenes with Jay come off better than they should have been, but Blake doesn’t have the skill so her scene crashed and burned. The trailer was going along fine, and then the pacing and flow just came to a halt. Beyonce’s acting isn’t great…but she isn’t the one who should be doing the heavy lifting in that part.
It went on waaaaaaay too long! At first it is kind of fun, but it got old. Should have been 1/2 as long.
