I completely forgot that LeAnn Rimes sang the National Anthem at the Indy 500 this holiday weekend. So here are some assorted photos from the event (some from her Twitter). Did it go off without a hitch? I have no idea. I’m assuming all went well. I have to admit, I like LeAnn’s hair more now that it’s longer. I’m sure she’s wearing a weave, of course, but I think the length suits her.
Meanwhile, LeAnn is promoting her marriage – I mean, she’s promoting her VH1 reality show in a new interview with Us Weekly:
Ready for reality, kids? LeAnn Rimes and husband Eddie Cibrian spoke with Us Weekly on Tuesday, May 20, about the latest developments in their two-year marriage, including their upcoming VH1 reality series, and potentially wanting to expand their family with kids of their own.
The ever-affectionate couple, at the Bacardi Rum and Vice Celebrate Cuban Independence Day in NYC, gave some Us some insight on their show. “Good times! We had fun,” Rimes, 31, said, as she cozied up beside the Cuban-American actor, 40.Cibrian — possibly alluding to his ex-wife Brandi Glanville’s Real Housewives filming — joked, “I mean, look. You can expect a lot of drinking and a lot of fights and we throw a lot of s— at each other and it’s a debacle. It’s horrible.”
“It’s like every other reality show,” added Rimes. “There’s a lot of heart to it but there’s also a lot of laughs. Eddie and I are very much that way in our relationship. We have a lot of humor between the two of us and give each other s— a lot, so you see that.”
She added that fans will be surprised by how normal their dynamic is as a couple.
“People read about us constantly and it’s so opposite of who we are,” the singer said of her relationship, which started on less-than-favorable circumstances after Cibrian cheated with Rimes on Glanville five years ago. “I think people really think we take ourselves seriously,” Rimes continued. “It’s so opposite of that but no one ever gets to see it. Other than the reason of us wanting to work together and be home with the kids, why not have fun and poke fun at everything that’s gone on for the last five years.”
Viewers will soon learn that these two are in it for the long haul. “Honestly it’s not giving up on each other,” Rimes said of her marriage. “I think that plays a really big part,” added Cibrian. “You gotta have faith, and we have faith in our relationship.”
Part of their future plans may include expanding their brood! Cibrian, already dad to sons Mason and Jake (whom he shares with Glanville) enthusiastically quipped “Oh yeah! Sure!” when he was asked about having more kids.
“He’s the best Dad already,” gushed Rimes. “I have a little bit of experience with the kids now so, I feel like I wouldn’t be too crazed. It doesn’t feel like a real first, first!”
Joking, Cibrian added, “Look, maybe we should just get another dog and then see how that goes.” The playful banter continued with Rimes chiming in, “It’s harder than babies actually! Potty training [dogs] is way worse!”
This sort of interview always makes me feel sorry for LeAnn a little bit. Eddie really, really, REALLY does not want to have any more kids. And I sat here for a second, idly wondering if Eddie doesn’t want any additional kids or whether he just doesn’t want to see LeAnn as a mom. Think about it – Eddie has seen LeAnn’s shenanigans up-close now for six years. Maybe he doesn’t want to see all of that with pregnancy hormones and then having to take care of a baby. A baby that will pull focus from LeAnn’s whirlwind of self-perpetuating drama. Just a thought.

If he doesn’t want more kids, he should keep it in his pants. Regarding the anthem, we were there (as always) and she did a great job. Country singers always do well.
Over the years there have been a lot of rumors that Ediot had a vasectomy, so no more kids.
However, if he doesn’t want an STD (or another STD, who knows what he’s brought home by trolling), he should keep it in his pants.

It’s obvious he doesn’t want kids with her, suggesting they get another dog first is really mean. I think he’s emotionally abusive and encourages her to do half the crazy crap she does, especially after watching that video of them at the airport and she tries to lean in and kiss him multiple times and he just ignores her on purpose, but that’s exactly what she deserves and I don’t feel an ounce of sympathy for her.
She did a decent job with the anthem, some of it was hard to understand but her voice sounded good.
Look how happy Eddie looks with that trophy. He’s always around for the fun times.
About her performance — The part that bugs me is that (as I thought would happen) she overshadowed the final performance by Jim Nabors, who is in his 80s and decided this year would be his last singing performance at the Indy race. He sang at 36 or so races. He did a great job and received much more audience reaction.
I heard that she actually kind of mumbled/possibly forgot lyrics as well. I haven’t seen a video, so I’m not positive. But it wouldn’t surprise me.
Her extensions look like the tail extensions fiance’s sister has for her horse.
Parts of it seemed garbled. I’ve always had difficulty understanding her singing, though. One of her older songs was playing as elevator music the other day, and It was hard to understand some of the words.
I don’t think she forgot words, it’s just that nobody can recognize the words she did sing. She did her typical garbled, unintelligible lyrics-type of singing. She was criticized for years of not connecting to emotions in her songs. The Trisha Yearwood-debacle brought that criticism to the forefront. The major diss at her and complement to Trisha was all about whose song conveyed emotion, made you feel something. Then she later started over-singing and getting really dramatic in the delivery, which I think she thinks is filling that gap of emotion, but it’s led to zero enunciation. That’s my theory anyway of why her singing style turned into this.
She really needs to see a voice coach but I’m sure she thinks she’s above needing to hone her craft.
Claire – The elevator song I recently heard is the song Trisha also did. I always preferred Trisha’s version, and I think you summed up the reasons why. Trisha’s version had clarity and emotion, versus poor enunciation and oddly placed vocal acrobatics.
I didn’t listen to the whole thing–sorry, but I just couldn’t–just can not stand her–but did hear the first couple of lines and chuckled at “at the don’s early light”. She just can’t sing clearly and has to dramatize everything! Just sing the song for crying out loud. Hate it when people perform the anthem instead of singing it.
@briargal: I don’t like her voice at all. Never did. Even before I knew what an asshole she was, I didn’t like her voice. But at least back then I could recognize that she had a pretty voice, even if I personally hated the tones. Now though, I can’t give her that compliment. I’m just baffled when I hear her fans describe her as the best singer ever, or greatest country voice out there.

Yes, this comment is typical of Leann’s stupidity and narcissism and it’s why so many parents (and step parents) hate her. She intentionally says things that put down real hands-on parents and the hard work it is to actually raise children. This is because she has never done it.
Leann has two older step children from a very on loving, hands-on mother that she baby sits every other weekend with her hubby, their dad, and his parents. She is a multimillionaire celebrity with a house full of hired help and every toy and gadget imaginable to entertain kids. She spends all her time and attention on herself: tweeting, shopping, partying and taking vacations and only pays attention to the kids for a photo shot with her hired paps. She tweets all of the children’s private information and thoughts out to the world and drags them with her to be props for her own publicity. She is addicted to the attention she gets for publicly stalking and fighting with their mother and using the kids to hurt her. Also for flaunting the affair she had with their dad when he was married to their mom and while Leann was still married herself. She is a sick person who gets off on hurting this family, she’s been doing it constantly for years now and it’s sick.

She tried 3 times to get him to kiss her. He completely ignored her. Must be exhausting trying to make the world believe your marriage is this great love story when truthfully he withholds affection from her. I really do feel sorry for her because if it were true love she wouldn’t spend hours/days trying to prove everyone wrong. Body language says a lot and Eddie is so DONE with LeAnn.
Oh my God, that is one of the saddest things I have ever seen. She looks deranged as she clings to him… like “please love me please love me all these cameras are looking please love me.” She is such a reprehensible person that it is hard to muster up any sympathy for her, but I think Eddie knows exactly what he is doing and withholds affection to get what he wants.

Dear Lord, that was sad. She’s staring at him talking and he never once looks at her and then all the hanging on to him. Can’t believe I’m going to say I feel a little for LeAnn. I know Eddie may not want any more kids and it’s NEVER okay to diss that and go and get pregnant anyway but a little part of me thinks, you know, when (iiiffff?) Eddie leaves, the boys will go with him. Because I don’t see Eddie as the type who’ll put aside his feelings and okay a continuing relationship for LeAnn and his kids (unless of course she’s spending big $ on them and then he may negotiate). If she wants to have a child then she has to really tell Eddie this is what she wants, because hey if she’s up for single motherhood, the reward (don’t take that the wrong way) of a child will be lifelong fulfilling.

Can I tell you how much I love the name LeAss. Its especially fitting when you see the pictures of her in Hawaii, squatting on the paddle board, when she left behind graphic evidence of her last trip to the bathroom. Lucky Eddie.
I keep hearing about some pictures from the Hawaii trip that have (for lack of a more gracious term) some type of “skid marks” on them. I remember seeing the paddle board pics, but must have been distracted by the crack showing. I remember she had on bottoms that looked two sizes too small.
They exist and are really bad. That crack is something else, isn’t it? So elegant. Not only is her bikini bottom I’ll fitting and cutting into her severely, there is indeed a lovely skid mark for all to see. I was treated to a blown up version of the photo and there’s no mistaking it. I don’t know if it’s a laxative issue or if she’s really just as unclean as she looks, but I warn you, view on an empty stomach.

I always love the comments on celebitchy. They all seem real. I swear if you ever see her twitter there are so many freaks blowing smoke up her that it is ridiculous. I am thinking they are a bunch of fake accounts, saving 3 or 4 crazies, created by her pr team or her and her babysitter Kiki. The craziest ones are the ones telling her how gorgeous she is and that she has the greatest voice of all time. Please! Makes me feel like I am living in the twilight zone but can’t help looking occasionally. People with a good, solid, trusting relationships, don’t put on a show for anyone and certainly don’t feel the need to explain their personal lives to everyone. There is a natural ease that you see between loving couples that isn’t there for LeAnn and Eddie. It’s glaring and obvious. When they first came out as a couple, it was much different. Eddie was probably on a high from being showered with expensive gifts and going on constant luxury vacations, but he actually looked happy and engaged. LeAnn hadn’t started her epic journey to become Brandi’s clone yet and she wasn’t as clingy or doing her braying donkey imitation either. He has nowhere to go and she’ll never give him up voluntarily, because she seems convinced that they are just one photo op, or pathetic fake interview away from being declared the love story of the century and that’s what she wants more than anything. Even if he’s cheating on her, I think she’ll keep up the act.

It’s a re-shoot to address that and it just makes them look worse if that’s possible.
The two of them are despicable human beings, and the hate they have for Brandi is the glue that keeps them together. Without that common denominator between them they have NOTHING! This so called show they are coming out with is going to backfire on them, and they will become the most hated celebrity couple out there. Everyone already laughs at them and not with them. Can you say fake. They obviously filmed it well after the fact. She’s not even wearing the same jewelry and her hair looks much greasier than it did, if that’s even possible. How stupid do these fools think people are? Obviously they assume that everyone is as uneducated and deluded as they are. Nice try with the kiss thing though Eddie. No one will buy it, but nice try. Neither of them could act their way out of a wet paper bag and the cameraman’s insistence of filming straight up LeAnn’s nostrils is a nice touch that could prove nightmare inducing. Eddie doesn’t work. He went to the premier of a movie that he was in about ten minutes of footage and filmed a year and a half ago. He actually blames his ex for saying he doesn’t work? Hello, the public paying attention to this neverending story has noticed it. That clip could be a story in itself. He refuses to address tabloid rumors at the premiere to keep focus on the film, yet let’s do a kiss attempt that he will refuse (as if that will help keep the focus on the film)?
What an odd way to try and reframe what we all saw ourselves. Some kids from the local elementary school could come up with a more plausible script.
He’s lying about Brandi. He has said over and over in interviews and the first VH1 show clip that he purposely won’t take jobs that take him away from his props, I mean kids.
I actually want to see an episode, just to see how they piece together what appears to be an even more puzzling array of nonsense. They must think the public has mass amnesia.
I realize a lot of so-called reality shows are at least partially scripted. A friend did that Vegas pawn shop show just for fun and said it took four hours to film 4 minutes of screen time (that was just banter — not calling in a third party expert like they sometimes do). It’s just amazing to me this show took nearly a year to put together and it appears completely confusing as to what they are trying to portray.
Eddie spends most of this clip talking about Brandi. He admits that she is his motivation for doing what he does. He is STILL thinking about Brandi often. He still wants her attention, her approval, her interest. He still can’t believe she dared to leave him after an entire marriage of him: lying to her, cheating on her, giving her HPV, publicly humiliating her with skanky stalker Leann, leaving her broke, taking her kids half the time, refusing to work, trying to reduce her child support and bringing the paps to her door.
Duh, dude.

what a crap fest. to date they have it scheduled for 11:30pm but maybe that wont happen now. They dont seem to be able to pull in any sponsors for it. Im going to rofl if they can it before it airs.
It is obviously staged but you can just sense the real rage Leann has towards Brandi. I would be pretty angry too if all my husband did was talk about his ex wife, as he does in this clip. I love how she always refuses to say Brandi’s name, and refers to Brandi as a “mouth piece” or “third party.” You mean, the mother of your step sons? Your husbands ex wife? The irony that Leann is complaining on her own reality TV show broadcast to the masses about Brandi publically talking about their love triangle, is so good. Leann complained last year that she should be greatful that she is so interesting to be a story line on Brandi’s. i guess Brandi could say the same thing now. The hypocrisy is so rich!

I actually tried to post a comment very similar to yours on the VHS site but I didnt have an acct to get it to post. From what Ive read the clip is just bad and very obvious that they filmed that scene long after whatever event Ediot was trying to promote. The twitter sleuths can even break it down to their rings and hair. I couldnt imagine spending so much time with my SO talking about his ex. I honestly dont know anyone that does that and many of my friends are the 2nd or 3rd wife for their hubbies.
Im still traumatized by the pic from yesterday where she was trying to kiss the ground. Someone on Gossip Rocks made an awesome pic from that and that one scene from the The Ring..its priceless.
Every time they show these clips they got negative comments and end up taking them down. It wouldn’t surprise me if VH1 did this just so the show wouldn’t make it to air.
