Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer were photographed saying their goodbyes on Monday after a romantic four day Valentine’s weekend in the Bahamas. The on-again couple looked either tired and/or somewhat high as they hugged and kissed. The photos are exclusives and we don’t have a deal with the agency, so you can view them on X17’s website.
According to a “source” quoted by X17, the mini vacation was a surprise Valentine’s Day gift from Mayer to Aniston:
The couple left aboard a private jet from LA late last Thursday night (immediately after Aniston’s second 40th birthday party), and they touched down on the island of Eleuthera the next morning after a 6 1/2-hour direct flight.
A source tells X17online the trip was a Valentine’s Day present from John:
“John decided to surprise her on her 40th birthday, by telling Jennifer he had organized a romantic getaway for the two of them for Valentine’s Day. Jen usually goes to Cabo or to Hawaii so the Bahamas was something new for her.”
The pair stayed in a super luxurious home on the north of the island – the same island where Mariah Carey owns a house and where she and Nick Cannon were married last year. The pad is in an exclusive gated neighborhood on the island, and is directly on the white sand beach.
John and Jen spent their days indoors with only occasional outings out onto the beach — we can only imagine what was going on behind those closed doors!

Maybe these two are the real deal and Mayer isn’t as much of a player now as his reputation, and some of his past statements to the press, suggest. He wouldn’t be the first man changed by the love of a good woman. Obviously I’m not a Mayer fan but if if he’s treating Aniston well then good for him. I’ve previously had the impression that he’s only sticking around as long as he can name drop Aniston in interviews and get a few headlines. These two already broke up last summer and were rumored to have called it off again late last month so I kind of feel for Jen and wonder when the other shoe is going to drop. If Mayer is planning romantic surprise vacations he could be serious about making it work this time though. Jen seems to really love him, big mouth and all, and you hope for her sake that it’s something more lasting.
Mayer went to all of her birthday parties, wrote her a song, and flew her via private jet to an oceanfront villa in Bermuda. If that isn’t a statement, what is?
They walked along the beach, he threw a stick for her a couple of times and she always brought it right back…

Yeah, in that pic that featured on the story at the DM, he looked like a kid being reluctantly embraced by his gran. Very odd body language. And before anyone throws sticks at me, go look at the pic.

No fan of either of ’em… but I think it’s a bit difficult to tell from a series of photos snapped in quick succession what their “body language” says. She’s about a foot shorter than him, so he has to bend a fair bit, making it look like she’s hanging off of him. He looks pretty happy about the whole thing to me.
Plus, come on, the guy’s YOUNG, so maybe he’s slightly embarrassed by the PDA. My husband is three years younger than me, and was basically your typical 25-year-old frat boy when we met, so he was often a bit shy of too much smoochy-smoochy in public. I changed him, though — for the better, of course. ; )

Diva I rarely say anything negative about those two that has anything to do with their personal lives. If there was a post where they went on vacation, I have zero comments because it’s stupid to comment about it.
Negative comments from me about them are always about their clothing choices, acting chops, and personal anecdotes that they choose to share.
I don’t look at their body language and decide that one or the other is “doing” something.

There is lighthearted ribbing and then there is literally calling someone a dog and making up crap about their body language.
