Here are some assorted photos of Kim Kardashian from the past few days. I kind of like her black dress, although I’m pretty sure she’s wearing a full-on wig in those photos. Kim was in NYC over the weekend, then she went to the Hamptons, which is where Khloe and Kourtney have been filming Keeping Up with the Kardashians (I guess), amidst widespread Hamptons shade.
Anyway, on last Sunday’s episode of KUWTK, they aired all of the dumb, racist BS that went down when Kim attended the Vienna Opera Ball in March. We covered it extensively when everything went down – go here to review. People were dropping the n-word and some idiot wore blackface and accosted Kim. Kim got $500,000 to be an escort, so don’t feel too sorry for her… although I did think that what happened to her was totally ridiculous. So, here’s the E! footage of what went down:
After Kim and Lucifer’s Homegirl returned home, Kim apparently told her sisters about her crazy-racist experiences, and she also said there was another incident on the plane coming home:
“I feel asleep, I woke up to this woman screaming, ‘Kanye West’s baby!’,” Kim recalled, “The woman is screaming at my child, I jump up… This lady stoof up in the cabin in first class, and yelled at the top of her lungs, ‘she’s with a black guy, and that baby is black! And you need to shut that black baby up!”
Kim went on to say that the woman then started talking about her sex tape with former boyfriend Ray J, shouting, “‘And she has a sex video with a black guy. How disgusting, with a black guy.’ Like going on and on.”
“It was the trip from hell. It was so racist,” Kim said.
You know what? Even though everyone is saying that Kim is made of lies for this story, I kind of believe her. Weird, I know. But I doubted her about the Vienna Ball incidents too, until the photos and videos came out and I was like, “Crap, people really were being enormous racists.” So… yeah. Doubt her if you want, but I bet some idiot racist did come up to her on the plane.

Everytime time Kimmode opens her plastic yap, another made up lame story falls out. She travels 1st class. Like the flight crew is going to let BS like this go down, without it being leaked to TMZ or Radar. Somebody would have had cell phone footage.
That’s what I don’t get. If a lady stood up in first class and started yelling anything, the flight attendants would have told her to compose herself and sit down at the very least. I call BS. However, now that I see the video of the Vienna Ball, I’m horrified and angry. And don’t give me that BS about “blackface doesn’t mean the same thing in Austria”. Its offensive and totally out of line for anybody.
Until I hear from the airline, I’ am so not believing this crap. I know that what happened at the ball was completely offensive and gross. But there were cameras and witnesses etc, and those cretins are so capable of using anything and anyone for more TV famewhore fodder, I just can’t take them at their word.

The guy in black face at the Ball is a European shock personality, either TV or radio, I can’t recall off hand. So his whole reason for going was to illicit a reaction from Kim.
Listening to Kim and her mother being interviewed for the press upon their arrival at the Ball, they both sound like ignorant pre-teen girls. “Awesome” “The history and everything, like so amazing.”

For one thing, her story is suspiciously close to an actual news story that happened to another woman last year–a story that was widely reported again in the media earlier this year when the perpetrator (who had slapped (!) said screaming baby after yelling at the mum to “shut that [n-word] baby up!) was convicted. I think the producers of KUWTK got the idea from that other incident and fed it to Kim–the words are identical except for “black” vs. the n-word. And if so, the Kimster has slipped to a new low, belatedly discovering racism (she said she’d never really given it much thought before) to give her superficial image a touch of substance.
She’s not “belatedly discovering it” – remember, she tried to use this same fake gambit at that totally fabricated “racist attack by a young man at the doctor’s office!” story she, her mother and Kanye tried to flog to all media. No one bought it then and no one buys this now.
And I highly doubt this was done at the urging of her PR people – they usually shy away from easily-debunked tall tales, because the fallout is disproportionate to the sympathy this is designed to create. This has PMK’s prints all over it – she’s probably annoyed that Wedding Circus #3 did not have the desired effect of turning her prize ho into a hot commodity, and is now trying to turn her into a long-suffering victim of “RACISM OMG.” Try again, Kris, because this didn’t work.

if that had really happened on the plane, there would have been numerous eyewitness accounts. and people sending stories to the papers. not to mention the flight attendants not allowing something like that in first class.

I believe she’s lying… Just an observation, but we all know she a ton of nannies. There is no way that baby was in first class with her, she’d be in coach with the nanny. She loves attention and would have had a press conference and called Gloria Allred and sue the airlines. No way this happened!

Sorry but I’m far from rich and have flown first class several times due to random upgrades or other occurrences. If I saw that I’d probably tell everybody. Plus your argument that everybody minds their own business up there could be an argument for the fact that this is a lie. There is no way that the attendant would have allowed a first class passenger to be harassed. They would not have alllowed a woman to stand and scream in the first class area, which is near the cockpit.

I have a biracial daughter that is much darker than Little North, and we fly first class pretty regularly (for my job) and nothing like this has ever happened. In fact, every flight we have been on people have been very sweet to the both of us, I’ve had questions but that’s it. I find her story very hard to believe especially now that racism is getting more and more attention.
Side note: I think stories like this make it harder for people to just talk about things. In my experience with a biracial daughter, I often get people that want to ask me questions but are scared of how they will sound or how I will perceive them as sounding. It’s normal to be inquisitive!! There is so much pressure to be politically correct just so we won’t be labeled racist that we lose our ability to talk to someone different about our differences.

I agree. Several incidents of people going ballistic on planes have ended up on the nightly news with cell phone footage taken by passengers who witnessed the incident. Typically, the plane ends up landing at the nearest available airport and the person causing a scene is arrested. The only person talking about this incident is Kim. If it really happened, stories about it would be everywhere.
She would have put the woman’s face on Instagram in an instasecond. Calling B.S. on this. I truly hope some intrepid reporter identifies the airline, the flight and gets a statement from the airline as to whether it happened.

You’re right: in the actual, widely news-reported and verified incident with a different woman on a plane whose (black) child was crying, the quote was almost identical to the one Kim is claiming. The perpetrator of the REAL incident yelled at the white mother to “shut that n—– baby up!” To contrive or copy a story like this for her own reality-show storyline and pass it off as true is beyond disgusting.

Serious question, would the woman have been met by police at the airport if she stood up and started shouting at people on the plane? Kicking off on a flight seems like a good move if you want to get arrested, and probably tweeted about by others on the flight.

I also cast doubt on this story for the simple reason Kayne has not exploded and given a three day sermon on how his number one “perfect woman” and child were insulted. Agree. Not saying it is impossible, but definitely improbable. Racism does exist and it is harmful and hurtful. It is a very serious issue. It has kept people from getting jobs, promotions and other real life things. I just remembered something – wasn’t there an incident last year where a guy (woman?) started yelling racist insults at the parents of an an AA baby who was crying – it made headlines because it was so awful. And those people weren’t celebs, yet everybody heard about it. So I’m definitely throwing shade at the idea that this would have happened to Kim on a plane and nobody would have seen it or reported on it.

that’s exactly what I was going to point out. and in that case, other passengers saw/heard the incident, came forward to support her story. it’s really difficult for me to believe that this could happen to Kim Kardashian’s baby and no other passenger would have shopped their eyewitness story to the tabloids/gossip blogs/TMZ. And that no other passenger grabbed their phone and started filming or audio recording it happening so they could sell their recording to the tabloids, etc.
That was my first thought as well when I first heard Kim’s story. It’s the same story minus the baby smacking (gosh, I can’t even believe I’m typing something like that). Only that time, many other people came forward and reported it. I would have thought that it would be all over the place before she even stepped out of the plane if something like that really happened.
I don’t think Kim looks white. When the press writes her as being white, I don’t see it. Kim looks very ethnically mixed to me. I’m not sure I believe her comments about the race issue. Many people I know Actually think Kim is a mixture, when I tell them she’s white, they look kind of surprised.
We all know Kim is Armenian and I’ve seen them classified as Asian and sometimes as Middle Eastern.
I only got to know Kim in celebitchy some years ago (I’m not American). I didn’t know she was Armenian and I always thought she was a mixture (and I just assumed she was considered to be a POC). I feel embarrassed about it, but really, I only realized she was not when she started talking about racism regarding Kanye…so there is that.
I don’t believe in the plane story, for many reasons that others already pointed out.
The Vienna story did happen and it was already discussed here. The guy is a known Austrian entertainer, generally Europe doesn’t have a connection with the history of “blackface” and many people still think that it’s totally OK to do this for Carnival, Tv shows and what so ever. So yes, it happened and it was distasteful. I dare to say that the Austrian guy didn’t intend it to be a demonstration of racism, but even then he was plain ignorant and insensitive.
Armenian’s are mostly referred to as Middle Eastern (like Persians, Moroccans, Syrians etc.). However I think PMK is fully white (she’s a mix of Scottish, English, French, German and Dutch, according to wiki), so Kim is technically mixed. I’m Middle Eastern (Moroccan/Persian) and we don’t refer to ourselves as white.
Morocco is in North Africa NOT the Middle East. Also, Armenia is in The Caucasus region(AKA Caucasian!)

If anything Armenians are actually the true Caucasians, Armenia lies on the Caucus Mountains, and Armenians identify themselves as White/Caucasian, not Middle Eastern. But PMK is all White European descent, so Kim therefore is technically White/Caucasian herself, even though she really doesn’t look that way.
She’s half Armenian, half Western European, and if we get into classification of the arbitrary racial system that makes her white. Armenians are Caucasian, as are many other ethnic groups of the Middle East.

I can’t tell whether this incident happened or not, but from what I saw on the show, I wouldn’t be surprised if the plane incident really did happen. The host at the Vienna party, the comedian, the other dude that darkened his face, those Vienna citizens certainly didn’t have any integrity regarding the black population. It’s not far from too many people to take joy in another person’s pain. Yet, I must also consider the point that these incidents may have been staged for the show. You just never know, but I have seen how Irina Rodnina, the Olympian from Russia and the foriegn politician that disrespected Obama because of his skin color. It sure is sad that the Kardashian clan are not decent folks, because even if they are trying to be decent people, you can’t tell whether they’re telling the truth or not. If it did happen, then she held herself together pretty well and for that, I applaud her.

I am a little confused because no one really doubted the Vienna stuff actually happend, because it was an event that had lots of cameras and other people there. My thoughts on Kim Kardashian being a liar – is the sky blue and is water wet? Yes KK is a liar. Were there some racist people at the Ball in Vienna? Likely but she couldn’t have been that upset because she didn’t leave and give the guy back the fee she earned and if one is totally that upset I do think that is what one would do. Or at least give the money to a charity but of course we know that is not something she did either. On the airline incident I call total one hundred and one percent B.S. As one poster pointed out to me here, that this happened to a woman on an airline, not sitting in first class and was reported and well documented. This did not happen to the queen of putting it all out there but I do believe she wishes it did. I think this is another nothing is too low for them to pull for ratings and nothing more.
I’m not sure why you’d assume she’s supposed to give her money to charity? If you were on a business trip and made $5000 to attend a conference on your company’s behalf and experienced blatant racism there– would you want someone to tell you to hand that money over to charity? I don’t follow your line of reasoning here.
The implication is that because you’re taking the money from your “racist” host, it’s tainted and should be given away because you’re a good person who doesn’t want to take money from racists. At least that is how I read it.

Yes, it is bull. When I saw this, I actually called my brother-in-law, who works in airline security. He confirmed that ANY passenger yelling or getting aggressive on a flight would have been addressed immediately. That is primarily because now, any passenger who gets rowdy or aggressive is automatically deemed a safety risk. The woman also would have been removed from the flight upon landing and questioned by security personnel (even if she was not arrested). Maybe years ago this would have happened, but today – no way.
And that line – “shut that black baby up?” It’s from an actual incident that happened months ago, but in that case the man was arrested. I can’t help but think Kim got some “inspiration” from that. I do not doubt that maybe a fan got a little overzealous with her on the flight and maybe got pissed, but Kim is telling lies here, I have to think.
Oh, and let me add – Where. Was. The. Security? Like the inciddent in the Dr.’s office before, are we really supposed to believe that Kim – traveling with her baby, no less – would not have at least one security guard with her? I know that celebs often contract for security elsewhere, but they often have a personal guard who will travel with them. Especially internationally? Kim seems to go a lot of places with no protection. I’m shocked Kanye the ego-maniac allows that.

“Some woman started screaming obscenities at me for being in a mixed-race relationship…and went on for about five hours,’” Kim told Piers Morgan at the annual ‘Night Before’ Oscars gala.
“‘They called the police when we landed, and she was taken away,’” Kim added. “‘But it was so disgusting.’”

I heard about it back sometime after it happened. Somewhere along the line anyway the plane incident came out from Kim or Kanye or Kris. Not immediately after, though. More used to show evidence of discrimination and used that as an example. I remember thinking it was odd she nor Kris did anything about it. Funny how they tweet everything as it’s happening but they didn’t tweet that at the time.
Um, no. Why would you believe her? She is made of lies. While the stuff in Vienna obviously happened, as it is all on video, I don’t believe that the plane incident ever happened. You mean to tell me there were NO witnesses? I mean, besides her mother. No one from that plane has ever spoken about it happening. I agree with everyone. The phrasing sounds like bad script writing. This is just being talked about now to coincide with this episode airing. Someone somewhere would have sold this story and you know damn well that Kanye would have gone off about this already. All of this seems suspect to me. She didn’t start making a big deal out of flying until people starting calling her out for flying separately from her daughter. I think she is trying to justify why she flies separately and privately. I don’t believe North was in that baby carrier at LAX either. There is no way she could have carried it so easily. She is so full of it!

Wouldn’t put it past that family to hire someone to create that kind of incident in order to make her more sympatico to the public. For some reason I don’t feel bad for her. Even with the black face scenario. If it bothered her so much she could have a) left the event or b) not aired it on national tv where she and her mom look more annoyed at the fact that they have to be at the event more than they are by the person in black face. The only thing that bothers me about the Vienna incidents is that the second incident with the reporter using the N word is somewhat ambiguous. He is just making a play on the actual name of Kanye’s song which is called “N in Paris”. He said “N in Vienna”. Tasteless probably but not overtly racist.

No, the Vienna “incident” wasn’t racist. People were doing the usual goofing around they do at that ball with the rich old guy’s date, they just weren’t Americans and didn’t think dark makeup or referring to the actual title of her financé’s song could be a problem.
And Kim lies repeatedly about everything. If one of her sisters said such things happened, the assumption would be that it’s true. But Kim lies, she just says whatever she thinks will get her what she wants. In Vienna, she got distraction from her own abominable behavior toward a paying client. Here, she gets people to believe that she actually slept next to her daughter because she’s so into quality bonding time. Please. We know other people are in charge of her daughter and Nori travels with her great-aunt and a nanny, who know how to take care if her.

It was theatrical makeup. The guy is a regular at the ball, he routinely dresses up as a significant other of the old guy’s date. I think he’s a local news guy or something. It’s all meant as a joke, and he was honestly surprised that Americans were labeling him racist (he’s actually a minority himself in Austria). To him, the makeup was just part of the costume, intended to look more like Kanye. Many Europeans have tried to explain that Europe is not the US, doesn’t have our history, and people don’t think of such things the same way because it just doesn’t bring up the same images and historical connections. Just as Kim wore a dress with an Iron Cross design to the ball, not even thinking that for many Austrians, that symbolizes the Nazi military. She doesn’t have the same emotional connection and just thought it was a pretty design. I was taken aback by it myself, but WWII was fresher in our minds when I was growing up. Anyway, when people if different cultures meet, there are bound to be misunderstandings of
sort. And if Americans don’t want Europeans to think the n-word is benign in English, they better stop using it in songs and song titles…

A side note-these type of racist comments do in fact occur across the country on a daily basis. I want to clarify that I’m not saying that it’s not possible nor that horrible treatment of mixed race families and couples do not exist, because IT DOES. My mother is half black and looks 100% black. My father is white. And he’s almost all Irish. So you can imagine how “white” he is. You can imagine the comments back in the 70’s and onward. And yes I do remember my mom covering me up with a blanket in my stroller when things got heavy. My entire life as a younger child was spent asking myself, “Why are people being mean to us when we didn’t do anything wrong?” and later in life “Did that person really just say that to us?” . So yeh, it happened then and it happens now, today, this second. But to Kim K on a plane? Nope. doesn’t add up at all.
