Demi Moore has been dating a young piece for most of 2014. His name is Sean Friday and he’s all of 27 years old. Demi is 51. It’s not so much the age difference, for me at least. If this was Sharon Stone, my thought cloud would involve words like “man-eater” and “fierce diva will eat him alive.” But for Demi, the younger-guy thing tends to feel like a desperate cling to her youth, to what’s “cool.” In Demi’s mind, she’s like Miley Cyrus’s older, cooler sister, doing whippets and hanging out with her cool musician boyfriend. But Demi’s youthful fantasy comes to a halt when some truly young woman catches Sean’s eye. A young woman like… Kristen Stewart? That’s what Star Mag alleges.
She’s at it again! Nearly two years after her infamous affair with her married SWATH director Rupert Sanders, Kristen Stewart has come between another couple. Demi Moore, 51, who’s been dating musician Sean Friday, 27, since December, recently became livid when Kristen caught her beau’s eye during a business meeting.
“Demi invited Kristen over to talk about a few movie projects,” dishes a source, “but she and Sean completely hit it off. Now Kristen has a bit of a crush on him.” The pair have already exchanged numbers and have been conversing right under Demi’s nose, but Kristen’s pals are trying to steer her away from a disastrous situation.
“She’s crazy to burn such a powerful bridge with Demi,” continues the insider. “She’s still struggling to recover from her affair with Rupert, so to make the same mistake twice would be career suicide.”

A few things. One, Demi Moore is not THAT powerful. Sure, she’s famous and she’s produced some big projects, but let’s not pretend that Demi can destroy another actress’s career with just a few carefully chosen words. Secondly, who even knows if Kristen is interested in dating anyone? And who says that Kristen isn’t dating her friend Alicia Cargile? Third: if Demi’s young beau is getting the digits of every young girl he meets, that’s not on Kristen at all. That’s on him, and he sounds like a douche. Oh, Demi… why not just date someone closer to your age who won’t embarrass you this way?

I agree… Super-long hair looks tacky in my opinion. Lindsay Lohan looks terribly too, and so did Kanye West’s wife back when she had long mermaid hair.
Yes, my first thought: isn’t it time for a change in hairstyle? She can’t rock the long hair anymore. She and Gwynnie have had that same severe middle part for years. Just looks awful!

I think that’s true if it’s obvious the guy want’s your number so he can hook up with you later, but not if you think you’ve just met a cool person you’d like to keep in touch with. These days every time I chat to someone for more than 5 mins we end up swapping digits, it’s just what you do. I haven’t done a cull in ages so I must have something like 100 attached guys numbers in my phone. I’m not interested in any of them as anything more than friends and as far as I’m aware the feelings mutual.
I believe Kristen has learned from her first mistake. Now she knows the way to upwards mobility, regarding her career, shouldn’t include sleeping with an unavailable man. Yet, she will always have to suffer from the wayward tabloid rumor mill as comeuppance for her past transgressions.
Seems like all Kristen did is to have met someone at Demi’s request, and they’re making another Evil Kristen story. I agree w/ Kaiser that Demi needs to find someone more appropriate, but I don’t think Demi knows what the word means…On another note, I’ve always felt like if someone’s married, hands off, period, NO exceptions. But if not, All’s fair in love and war (unless a friend, then same rules as if married). Does that make me an asshole ??

Demi needs to stop dating until she gets her act together. Dating such a young guy without real life experience seems odd, but there are people who don’t mind age differences. I couldn’t imagine it. I once dated a guy 10 years younger than me, and it was a disaster – he was so insecure. I dated a guy 2 years younger and it was a bigger disaster – he was a mean petty person. It’s not all on age of course, but there are some things you learn with age. Clearly Demi hasn’t slowed down enough to do that.

I date both younger and older guys and I assure you maturity has little to do with age. If a guy doesnt know who he is and what he wants by 25, odds are he never will. Which may be why the most selfish immature guy I ever met was aged 37 and was at the time 8 years older than me.

Yup. It’s so true. I live in NYC and all the fit, half way decent looking men with halfway decent jobs begin wanting the younger women in their mid 30s, just when they start to feel older & desiring of status objects. I remember when I was 31, meeting a really hot guy who was 34 and thinking we were good, but sadly, he’d thought I was in my mid 20s and it never went anywhere because I wasn’t. And it just gets worse! Now I’m close to 50. I chose to just stop dating entirely and get a cat. Novel! LOL.

No, I think she can give him her number if she is single. It is his responsibility and choice to say that they only can be friends and nothing more is going to happen.
If my boyfriend doesn’t cheat on me just because he gets no phone numbers anymore, it wouldn’t mean anything to me.
Or…maybe Demi is okay with open relationships. There’s some evidence she was while she and Ashton were together.
Or…maybe the boyfriend is paid for, in which case he’s not exactly not-single. He’s rented, and hookers are allowed to have private relationships in addition to their professional ones.

I’m sure that dating this 27-year old is just something to help her feel okay since Ashton pretty much left her so publicly. But it’s always been my observation that Demi needs to just chill and work on herself without going after someone. We all know the days are numbered for these two anyway. It’s hard to believe he’s willing to be her boy-toy rather than find someone closer to his own age. I think Demi is innately insecure and took to alcohol and drugs to cover up her weaknesses, but that led to addiction. Are we ready to grow up yet?
