I don’t follow gossip about Michael Strahan, who is the new Regis Philbin to Kelly Ripa. I understand Strahan is really popular now and he keeps signing on to new gigs. People love him. That’s really all I knew. I had no idea he was with Nicole Murphy, who is Eddie Murphy’s ex-wife and mother to FIVE of Eddie’s kids (four daughters and a son). Michael also has four kids, two kids per two ex-wives. Talk about a complicated blended family, damn. Anyway, Nicole and Michael are over now.
Michael Strahan is newly single. The Live! with Kelly and Michael co-host and his fiancee Nicole Murphy have split, his rep confirms to Us Weekly.
“They love each other very much but with the distance and work schedule it has been hard to maintain the relationship,” the rep tells Us in a statement.
Strahan, 42, and Murphy, 46, got engaged in 2009 after two years of dating. During their relationship, the former NFL star went through several changes in his professional life. In September 2012, he officially joined ABC’s Live! daytime talk show. He also joined the Good Morning America family as an anchor in April.
Strahan has two grown children with ex-wife Wanda Hutchins and twin 9-year-old daughters with second ex-wife Jean Muggli. Murphy was previously married to comic star Eddie Murphy from 1993 to 2006. The exes share daughters Bria, 24, Shayne, 19, Zola, 14, and Bella, 12, and son Myles, 21.
After five years of being engaged (plus two years of dating before that)… it could just be that Nicole realized he was never going to marry her? Or maybe she was gun-shy? I have no idea. I read through Bossip’s comments and I found a treasure-trove of spilled tea though – apparently, there was some shady character Nicole was involved with in between Eddie and Michael and that shady dude might have stolen all of her money (which she got in her divorce settlement from Eddie). Nicole might have thought she landed another whale. Some people think that Michael is just going to trade Nicole in for a younger model. It’s sad but it’s probably true.
PS… Her bolt-ons are kind of gross-looking. They’re too big and too high for her body.

Nicole ended the engagement not Michael.Michael’s rep simply confirmed the split since it would have been obvious when she was absent at Hall of Fame ceremony.
She is so gorgeous and he is handsome. Still, I think this relationship was not meant to be, becouse some people cant handle long distance relation.

I went past the bolt-ons and marveled at her amazing skin tone. I don’t think this woman will ever sag. I’m talking about her arms and neck which is down to great genes.
Bolt on breasts or not… that woman is ridiculously beautiful.
And of course, when one person is based out of NYC and the other wants to continue on living in LA, a break up is inevitable.
One of my guilty pleasures is Hollywood Exes,, a show she is on. That woman has a body theat some 20 year olds would kill to have.
Also she seems very sweet and down to earth. She doesn’t seem to like drama and tries to stay neutral when the other women fight.
I’m a football fan and I adore Michael. BTW TMZ hinted about a week ago that the relationship might be over. They asked Nicole if Michael was scared when someone came at him with a weapon and her response seemed odd as if she had no clue what they were talking about
I watch that show, too… and she was pretty adamant about staying in LA. So their break up doesn’t surprise me at all.
I agree, I watch H.E. myself and she is the most level headed of them all; alot of times playing peacekeeper amongst the cat-drama. Sad story, but i would say she ended it out of the same level headed decisions she makes on the show. Rock on sweetheart and go get em’. Nothing wrong with her body, just jealous hate mongers. Fluant it girlfriend.
Stunning woman, I am perplexed why she went the huge boob implant route, when her figure was quite beautiful as a model, without the enhancements she still had nice boobs and a lovely figure.
She really is amazingly beautiful! I don’t know, but perhaps the reason is that she had FIVE children … sometimes only 1, let alone 5 (!!!!), can wreak havoc on your breasts! As for size … maybe it is like ordering a sofa? I can plan out the dimensions in my living room, but sometimes it arrives and it is larger than I anticipated and I’m stuck with it, whether it fits the space or not, unless I want to pay return shipping?!
She should go down a size, they are too big and stretching her skin, that’s never good. She’s such a stunner, she really didn’t need those , she had a great figure.

Gorgeous face and a body to die for minus the bolt-ons. I would never believe she had 5 children. Her stomach is flat as a board with no Halle Berry pouch that most women have after a couple of pregnancies.
I actually might believe the distance excuse here. Once he started the show with Kelly, he had to be in NY all the time, and her younger kids are probably in school in CA.
She used to be so gorgeous, but it looks like she’s having work done.
I do not understand his popularity, but of course I am not a huge football fan or watcher of morning or daytime talk. He seems kinda dull but whatever.
I have always liked Nicole. She is very pretty and seems pretty down to earth.
He’s not dull at all. He’s articulate, charming, witty, has the gift of gab, never comes across arrogant, and, of course, he’s a handsome man with a great physique, which doesn’t hurt him. I don’t see the show that often, but when I have he’s a great asset to the show, And he and Kelly have chemistry as co-hosts.
All of that Jayna. I watched the Nick ‘s Kids Sports Award show last month and thought that he really can just host with anyone from adults to kids. He was great with his audience.
He seems ok but Kelly Ripa grates on my last nerve.
Michael Strahan is awesome. Extremely down to earth, charismatic and funny. I always thought Nicole was using him.
Well, she has like 10 kids. It was always surprising that he was with her to begin with.

At least her 5 are all with the same person. Not only does he have 4 kids anyway, why would her having 5 with her ex be a deterrent? She isn’t asking him to support her kids.
His career is taking off and I think that has become his priority. He is getting lots of offers and attention.
When that happens people either go with it or say no to offers. He is doing 3 shows. I was really shocked that he took that GMA offer while still hosting Kelly and Michael. Not to mention the Sports show. He seems to be stretching himself very thin.
I guess she got tired of being so low on the list of priorities. I don’t blame her.
Sounds like it. Add the long engagement to the picture and she’s probably like it’s time to move on with my life and find a partner who can place me above his jobs. A very sensible decision, good for her. If she were a gold digger she would still stay with him but she’s clearly not.
He said maybe six months ago when asked when they were going to get married, that he was ready and would show up when she wanted him to. He said Nichole is the one that would be taking care of wedding details, that he’s clueless about that kind of stuff, but just tell him when and where and he’s there..
I think his career has been booming, and they are bi-coastal with a lot of kids. He had Kelly & Michael during the week in New York. H would get on the plane and go to LA for the weekends and do his ESPN gig that he never gave up when getting the Kelly and Michael show, and then he would take the red-eye back Monday morning. I think Nicole lives in LA. I always thought she moved to NY when he did, but I guess not with all her kids to think about. Then he just took this GMA gig three days a week. She is on a reality show I think. Something had to give, and I guess it was the relationship because it didn’t seem like they had much time together. I thought if she lived in NY that they did, because he would have time for them in NY, sine the Kelly and Michael show doesn’t take up a whole day. That was before the GMA gig added on. But I guess all this time she was living in LA. So I can see how it must have really strained the relationship as far as being bi-coastal and him being so focused on all of these career opportunities. Then add children into the mix that you have to focus on also.
Why do so many women who seem to have the means to afford it, settle for such awful plastic surgery? And she is a gorgeous woman too.

Such a nice looking couple. They both seem pretty sweet, too. I remember reading an article maybe last year where he was was explaining all their commitments, kids and job wise, and talking about being on different coasts. I thought then, there’s just no way. That’s not going to be able to last.

Call me an idiot, but you don’t drop a good man who isn’t allergic to work because he lives in NY and you live in LA. There has to be more to it than that. His work commitment didn’t take up a lot of time. I think he took more time traveling to his gigs than actually doing his gigs. My impression is that now that she’s on a TV show, she doesn’t want to drop it and move to NYC. After dealing with Eddie and his cheapness, she probably doesn’t want to depend solely on a man for everything. Can’t wait to see his HOF induction. Houston is all atwitter about it.
True it is hard finding a good man who works hard and is committed to you. I can see her point of view though. If that reality show is her only source of income it will be hard to give it up and then depend on Michael for money. What if he got tired of her and decided to get a younger model? They aren’t married so she won’t get a settlement and there is a feeling of self worth you get from making your own money.
She is still a beautiful woman with a great body, 5 kids didn’t stop Michael from getting with her and it won’t stop other men too. Men love beautiful women period, she will have the opportunity to find someone else. I just feel bad for both sets of children breaking up.
Plus her children have a father who is no slouch financially. It’s not as though she’s looking for someone to take care of her and her kids; they have it made. I must say I thought she’d be a snob, but she’s level headed and nice on HE.
My point exactly. Eddie wasn’t exactly ‘giving’ when they split up. Heck, he wasn’t exactly ‘giving’ prior to their getting married. If memory serves they didn’t tie the knot until baby 2 or 3? I’m thinking she remembers and doesn’t want a repeat of having to depend on a man for $$$. So there is more to this split than it being bi-coastal.
I didn’t see any of Nicole’s kids or siblings at Hall of Fame ceremony. Her kids called him Pop and he was buddies with her brothers.It’s a shame when a couple breaks up the other relationships end as well
I’m not a Strahan fan. I also may be in the minority here when I say that I don’t enjoy seeing him with Kelly. I actually think that he is better off doing sports commentary because, on the few episodes that I watched him cohosting Rippa, he said some rude things to some guests and a guest dancer as well. He’s also not funny, imo. I think he would be better off doing sports commentary. However, I am happy that the man is able to successfully find gainful employment with substantial pay. I am sorry for Ms. Murphy because Eddie was totally despicable to her. I want her to find a good, successful guy to wed. I also understand her not wanting to uproot her kids to globe trot with Strahan. After all, her kids do have to see Eddie regularly, and maintain a proper functioning relationship with their father.
She is beautiful but her personality makes her UGLY. Cannot stand her on the show Exes and her stance on wearing fur. I like Michael and maybe he began to see the REAL her and just how UGLY and self involved she really is.

As a die-hard Giants fan, I really appreciate and respect Michael. On and off the field he has been a class act. I’m saddened by this news because I liked them together and am just hoping it wasn’t an ‘ugly breakup’ – but I couldn’t be happier for him or prouder of him for becoming a HoFer this weekend!! She & Eddie must have the same plastic surgeon. They look identical to me. Also, I caught an interview with Michael & he said, at the time, he was handling all the wedding arrangements. Seemed odd she couldn’t be bothered with her own wedding. Split isn’t surprising.
She blew through her divorce settlement from Eddie Murphy ($15 Million) in four years. She invested money with some investment crook who took her for $7 Million. She had to put her mansion up for sale because she was broke and owed the IRS a huge amount of money. Michael should be happy this relationship didn’t end up in marriage.
I’ve never gotten the appeal of Nicole. She has beautiful eyes and an amazing body minus the bolt-ons but when I look at her actual face, I don’t see the beauty gorgeousness that others see.

That beautiful and talented dancer from the Beyonce Single Ladies video (Ebony Williams) is STILL being called a man all these years later. Even after proof has been offered that she is a she. She’s even in the video Countdown looking strong and feminine and she’s still being called a man. And don’t get me started on the hate directed at Serena Williams, because she dares to sport muscles.

I don’t think her being called a man is about race…she has a manish/harsher jaw line that appears more masculine than feminine….just like how many people see Gisele {who is “caucasian”} to have more masculine features than feminine. They both have banging bods that favor more masculine characteristics. Race is not involved here.
