Around this time last year, John Stamos gave a somewhat charming interview to In Touch Weekly as he turned 50 years old. He said, at the time, that he’s totally open to getting married (again) and having babies. I asked if anyone around here would be open to hitting it, marrying it and having babies with it, and many of you were like “Uncle Jesse Forever!!” So, this is for all of you. Stamos turns 51 years old on August 19th. He’s promoting his latest project, some direct-to-on-demand movie called My Man Is A Loser, and he did my favorite magazine feature, Us Weekly’s “25 Things You Don’t Know About…”
1. The first concert I went to was The Beach Boys. The last concert I went to was The Beach Boys.
2. I still wear my dad’s cologne, Aramis.
3. I like onomatopoeia—words that sound like what they mean, like tweet and roar.
4. I have a dog that I love a lot but I don’t talk about her publicly. She’s very sensitive when it comes to press.
5. I’m the narrator on the Elvis Presley tour at Graceland. No, I have never seen the King’s bedroom.
6. I once played bongos with Willie Nelson.
7. I’ve been on TV most of my life, but I don’t love watching it (or myself).
8. I’m obsessed with Disneyland. On my first trip, I begged Tinker Bell for her number, but she wouldn’t give it to me.
9. The first celebrity I ever met was the Fonz [Henry Winkler].
10. I’ve been in many musicals on stage and TV, but I don’t actually like to sing.
11. I was a complete band geek in school.
12. I’ve been told that when I run, I look like one of the marionettes in Team America: World Police.
13. I own fewer than 30 tank tops.
14. I love to garden.
15. I’ve never seen Mean Girls, but I have seen Step Brothers.
16. I’m proud of Full House, but the last time I watched a full episode was 20 years ago.
17. I like to do Pilates three to four times a week.
18. I have 27 pairs of reading glasses.
19. I drove my dad’s white El Camino from age 16 until the second year I was on General Hospital. I still have it.
20. I cut my own hair.
21. Warning: I eat crackers in bed.
22. I have extremely skinny legs. I used to wear shorts under my jeans in high school to hide them.
23. I won’t talk badly about my exes, but I will write about them on folded-up notecards and hand them out to friends at parties.
24. I’m a terble speller.
25. I am more neurotic than I may seem.
I didn’t know much about him in general, so I found this charming. He seems like a nice guy? I’m fascinated by his weird side-projects and interests. He’s the narrator on the Graceland tour? He doesn’t like to sing (but he was in a band)? He’s neurotic and he eats crackers in bed? Honestly, he sounds a lot like me, personality-wise. I’d almost mistake him for a Virgo, but the Virgo sign doesn’t start until August 23rd. He’s just a neurotic (and loyal) Leo. So, would you hit it? Skinny legs and tank tops and he loves to garden? Yeah, I’d probably hit it.

He looks great and seems nice, so yes.
About 10 years ago, I got to go backstage when he played the Emcee in Cabaret. My family, Dave Coulier, and I were the only people backstage after the show and John Stamos stayed and chatted with all of us equally for several minutes, posed for photos with my family and me, and was so kind. He spoke super lovingly of his wife Rebecca and just seemed like an awesome guy. I’d had a crush on him since his Full House days, and that encounter only strengthened it. Very cool guy.
I get the vibe that he must be tons of fun for a weekend hookup, a-la “Girls”. No hang ups or expectations beyond a good time, and I’m sure he provides a lot of it.
I would not kick that man out if my bed for eating crackers!!
+1
If he was born after 12 PM then he’s got a Virgo moon:

Damn, he is beautiful. Hard to believe he’s 50!
Yes! I do love him, but fully acknowledge that he’s the one with issues… I mean, if you really want to be married and have kids, you can certainly do that by 51, right? But I’d have a fling with him, for sure!
I like this guy. I lol’d at #23 and #12.
He was in his school band. You don’t have to sing in those.
And he’s a stand in drummer for the Beach Boys. Funny he says those were his first and last concerts because he might have just played with them and not spectated as it sounds.
Crackers in Bed?! Nooo!
And a bit shocked to see nothing Greek related in this. Or Oikos. I remember Kelly Ripa’s list was almost half endorsements.
Anyway, he’s still amazingly attractive.
I can’t believe this guy is 51. Uncle Jesse is 9 years from 60? I just got dizzy.
OMG ! When you put it that way … I need to sit down
Seriously. 🙁 I feel so old.
No way!! I eat crackers in bed, too! We must be soulmates!!
He’s been on Howard Stern a lot over the years and often launches into the same, ” I want kids/nice girl bit, whoa is me bit”, but Stern always mocks him & reminds of all the hot young models he bangs and even points out that, yes, some of these girls are “nice” (Stern socializes with him). Inevitably, John begs off with how hard it is & a bunch of neurotic, cutsey blurbs. Same thing for years. He is not as much of VS modelizer as Leo (although he did find Rebbeca R on the VS runway when she was 21 & he was in his 30s) and seems to be nice to the girls because you don’t hear a lot of them trashing him once they break up.
He tours with the beach boys sometimes, I think, he just made an appearance in my town with them. He suddenly started popping up in my Facebook newsfeed posing with friends and I wanted to get dressed up and go find him myself, but didn’t because it would’ve been weird, lol, and he does have skinny legs from the pictures I saw!
I like this guy. He has aged well.
I think he looks better now than 20 years ago – I remember him on General Hospital! He and I would make SUCH a nice couple. 😉
Agreed. He looks great.
I crushed on him so hard as Blackie Parrish on GH. I’m still not over them sending him to jail and then leaving him to rot. Lol But he is way hotter now–he is aging soooo well.
I just can’t with men in their 50s wanting to become dads. Come on, because a 10 year old needs a 60+ year old dad?
supposedly, some of the issues in Stamos’ marriage to Rebecca Romjin were because he was very ready & eager to have children and she wasn’t ready. I’m sure the irony of her then marrying fairly quickly and having kids must have been a kick in the nuts after that
And he gets divorced and gives that same line for years but all he does is date young things and move on. I remember Howard Stern’s flunkie who always got invited out to California to John’s pad. And the guy was such a moocher he would take John up on his offers to crash there whenever he wanted. The guy said his pool is always surrounded but hot young things.
He told Howard at dinner one night he can’t meet a great girl like Beth and that she’s perfect, and Howard told him if he was with Beth he would dump her and move on to the next girl, that he was the problem. And Howard loves John. They are great friends. He isn’t yearning for kids or he would be leading a different lifestyle and settled down by now.
But I like John. He’s funny and charming. He’s very talented and I don’t think ever got as much success as he should have, although he still makes a nice living.
Some men don’t find the right woman until they are in their fifties. You would deny them children just because they would be older parents?
John Stamos is the only man on the planet that the thought of him doing Pilates turns me on.
I just texted my dad (total Elvis nut) about the Graceland thing, he didn’t know either!
Uncle Jesse is beautiful. Never ever change.
Jennifer Aniston’s dad has always hoped that John Stamos would someday be his son-in-law.
I can see that, but I don’t think she’s too proud of her Greekness, so she probably hates the idea.
Unless John has a daughter AT LEAST two decades younger than Jennifer, his dream is a joke.
John does have another daughter. He has a younger daughter with his current wife, Sheri. I used to follow the soaps religiously so I knew about Jennifer Anniston before she was famous so to speak.
I like him. I can’t help it. God help me, I grew up on a steady diet of Full House.
But I’ve always sort of wondered about him. I think he must keep his business pretty tight. I sort of view him as the male Aniston (or up until recently another version of Clooney) because of his wife & kids schtick when it’s obvious that’s not really what it’s after. If that’s the case, then it’s silly to pretend otherwise – I am fine with Uncle Jesse as a perennial bachelor!
i love uncle jessee!
I had an autographed picture of him when I was in third grade. My teacher was Greek and knew his father or something so she gave everyone in our class his picture. To this day he still makes me go HAVE MERCY.
For a weekend romp, If I had to choose between Stamos and Cruise, I’d choose Cruise, ‘ducks’
I hope you’re a guy because I’m pretty sure Cruise isn’t into women.
People say this a lot but he’s never pinged to me. He’s very… eccentric? Asexual maybe? But that’s it, unless he says or it’s proven otherwise at least. I find his intensity fascinating, attractive, and would love to spend a few hours with him. Oh well, to each their own.
He’s always seemed like such a nice guy, and his interview just makes him even more endearing.
I agree. I’ve always loved him and I’ve never even seen ‘Full House.’ He seems totally charming but, I must admit, i’m a little skeeved out by the tank tops. That’s no bueno in my book.
He may have a cute schtick but he’s a notorious womanizer – it broke up his marriage to Rebecca Romjin.
Love love love Uncle Jesse. I caught his wedding to Aunt Becky on Full House while I was on vacation last month. Was channel surfing at the hotel and found it at Nick at Night. Of course I stopped and watched the whole thing- much to my kids’ despair.
My 10 year old watches Full House all the time, sometimes along with his 12 year old sister. I end up getting caught up in them easily. It’s still a great show, Especially considering the shows they make now on Disney and Nick geared to their age group. In comparison, that makes Full House outstanding and timeless, IMO. They all did a great job, hence all the airplay.
Omg. That article was so adorable. It’s refreshing to read about a gorgeous man who doesn’t seem to take himself too seriously.
*Swoon 😉
